Let’s understand what’s going on in Los Angeles because most people don’t. This is not a battle of cops versus rioters; it is a battle between narratives. Most people see regime media video of Third World savages waving the tacky banners of their garbage homelands, lighting fires, hassling cops, and doing other things consistent with being barbarians, and think that Los Angeles is in chaos and therefore get scared. The idea behind this color revolution – it is organized and planned, not spontaneous or genuine – is to intimidate normal people into submitting and embracing the politicians associated with its...

SACRAMENTO, CA — Los Angeles Karen Bass reflexively skipped town for a Caribbean vacation after seeing that her town was once again on fire. Bass stated her leaving was completely involuntary, reporting that she simply saw her city burning and, next thing she knew, she was on a plane to Antigua. "I have no control over it. It's just an immediate reflex when I see L.A. engulfed in fire," stated Bass from her beach condo. "As soon as I saw smoke, my hands just started packing a suitcase. I wish I could help, but I just can't. Also, I need...

Los Angeles descended into further chaos for a third straight night as anti-ICE rioters blocked major freeways, set fires, and clashed with law enforcement. As the violence spiraled out of control, President Donald Trump vowed to restore law and order, deploying National Guard troops to protect federal officers and innocent citizens, all while progressive politicians continue to call the riots “peaceful protests.” On Sunday, former LAPD Chief Michael Moore said he was seeking “God’s protection” for all the officers responding to the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles as the violence continues to wreck the city. “To the brave men &...

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass denounced what she called a “chaotic escalation” Sunday by President Donald Trump, after he federalized 2,000 California National Guard troops to stop riots against immigration enforcement. Bass, who failed to maintain order on her city’s streets Friday and Saturday as masked rioters opposed to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vandalized federal buildings and attacked federal officers, joined the state’s elected Democrats in attacking Trump’s efforts to restore order. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) also denounced Trump for his efforts to stop the riots.

California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could both face federal charges over their response to ICE raids in the city, President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has warned. As violence tore apart sections of downtown LA, Compton and the suburb of Paramount, the administration has accused the Golden State Dems of fueling tensions, which exploded in riots on Saturday. “Someone is going to lose their life,” Homan warned, speaking to NBC News. He said that he has not ruled out asking the Department of Justice to prosecute the elected officials for allegedly having a role in...

President Trump has ordered the California National Guard to secure Los Angeles from the anti-ICE rioters, despite the vocal objections of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass. It’s the first time in 60 years that the commander-in-chief deployed a state’s National Guard without the governor’s blessing, and members of the Trump administration are saying the move is justified because the protests represent a “violent insurrection” against the country. “This is a violent insurrection,” White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller posted Saturday night. Vice President JD Vance also used the word in describing the riots: “Insurrectionists carrying...

California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass were leading the opposition Sunday to the Trump administration’s decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles after two days of protests over federal immigration raids. Newsom blasted the move in a fundraising email sent out Sunday morning. “Last night, President Trump ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops in Los Angeles, using the excuse of protests against his immigration raids. Let me be totally clear about what is happening here. We have been working closely with law enforcement. There is no unmet need. The president is attempting...

President Trump ripped into California’s “incompetent” leadership and called for a ban on face coverings as masked protesters clashed with federal agents conducting immigration raids across Los Angeles. Trump called out California Gov. Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass for their alleged mishandling of violent riots in response to the ICE raids that wrangled up over 100 illegal immigrants — including gang bangers and drug traffickers — this past week. “We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their VERY SLOW PERMITTING disaster. Federal...

It’s wrong on so many levels. Own that your officer made a choice you have to investigate. State that you are complying with state and federal authorities during the investigation. Report that the officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation. And then STOP talking. Leave the podium if you have to. Whatever you do, don’t fumble a narrative and tell people the officer ‘accidentally’ reached for a duty weapon and grabbed a taser instead.

Revealing Politics asked DNC attendees and delegates in Charlotte what they thought of one of the themes of the DNC promotional video that played in the arena last night— “The government is the only thing we all belong to.” The Obama campaign is backing away from the video, but DNC attendees sure aren’t. “Regardless of where you live, you’re gonna be owned by someone at some point. I think the American government so far has been a fair government and I don’t necessarily hate that I’m owned by them at this point.”

A lot has been made of the "community organizing" techniques of the late Saul Alinsky, and his influence on Democrats from Hillary Clinton to The Teleprompter himself (mmm, mmm, mmm). It has only been comparatively recently, with the rise of the Tea-Party movement, the rise of Breitbart.com, and a few other cases, that the political right in the US has attempted to forestall, or even to emulate his tactics, as set forth in Rules for Radicals. And whenever these techniques have been used to date, they have been a roaring success. Another well-known, but not as well-examined, aspect of Alinsky's...

The city of San Francisco has started an advertising push with a very specific target market: illegal immigrants. And while the advertisements will come in a bundle of languages — English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese — they all carry the same message: you are safe here. In what may be the first such campaign of its kind, the city plans to publish multilanguage brochures and fill the airwaves with advertisements relaying assurance that San Francisco will not report them to federal immigration authorities. Mayor Gavin Newsom said the campaign was simply an amplification of a longstanding position of not cooperating...

The Italian government has approved a law that increases sanctions against people who smoke marijuana, putting the drug on a par with cocaine and heroin. Under the new legislation, people found in possession of cannabis could risk having their passport and their driving licence suspended. The government has forced through this new legislation with a confidence vote. The move has been greeted mostly with dismay by opposition MPs and drug treatment professionals. Under the new rules, dealing and trafficking in drugs - whether heroin, cocaine or cannabis - will be punished with jail sentences of between six and 20 years...
