Sheep on drugs have gone on a "psychotic rampage" after eating cannabis plants dumped in a quiet village, it is feared. The remains of an illegal cannabis factory was fly-tipped on a Welsh village road - and worried locals think the sheep have been chowing down on the psychotropic herbs. County councillor Ioan Richard said sheep have been "roaming the village" and causing havoc by breaking into homes and getting killed by cars as they stumble about in what appears to be a druggy haze.

THREE men trying to steal fuel from a New Zealand farm today ended up setting fire to their own car. Police said the trio had siphoned diesel into a petrol-driven vehicle. When their car would not start, they examined the fuel pipe using a cigarette lighter. One click, a boom and the car burst into flames. "It wasn't a major whodunit," senior sergeant Ross Gilbert told Reuters, from the small North Island town of Waipukurau, about 230km northeast of Wellington. "Fortunately for them, there is no criminal charge for stupidity." The men, aged 18 to 19, escaped injury but were...

In a few outraged moments, local immigrant rights activist Tony Lu designed t-shirts bearing the text, "i do not consent to being searched." The minimalist protest-wear can be purchased here, in various styles and sizes. (Lu will not get a cut. The shirts' manufacture, sale, and shipment, will be handled by the online retailer. Lu encourages budget-conscious New...

By all indications, nobody at Wrigley Field during Game 6 of the National League Championship Series was rooting harder for the Cubs than Steven Bartman. As a youth league and high school second baseman, Bartman's hero was Cubs infielder Ryne Sandberg. As a 26-year-old Northbrook resident, he was so passionate about baseball that he took time off from work to coach an elite youth team.
