Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said Sunday she will stop using “toxic” rhetoric, marking what would be a dramatic shift in a political brand hallmarked by derogatory comments. “I would like to say, humbly, I’m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics; it’s very bad for our country,” Greene said. “It’s been something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated.” Greene said she realized that she has participated in or supported heated rhetoric that has resulted in threats toward others, a point of reflection for her. “I’m only responsible for myself and my own words...

May I ask you a provocative question? Have you ever been raped? Specifically, have you ever been raped, and then invited your would-be rapist to spend the night with you afterwards, and then had breakfast with your attacker the following morning, and then, sometime later, when the alleged rapist did not call you as he promised he would, only then decide you were raped? This is not a purely theoretical question, but rather is one of the cases spotlighted by the New York Times to show the need for greater prosecution of "date rape." The Obama Administration felt that there...

Michelle Obama did not look happy today when she had to cut short her visit to India to accompany her husband on a trip to a country where women aren't even allowed to drive cars. The First Lady bowed and beamed as she boarded Air Force One in New Dehli on Tuesday, but by the time she landed in Saudi Arabia a few hours later, she had traded her floral dress for a more conservative long-sleeved jacket and slacks - as well as a new scorned expression. In pictures at the airport and Egra Palace, Mrs Obama pursed her lips...

Lizet Sariol thought she placed the fake terror tip anonymously, but then she boasted about the hoax to her former flame, exposing her tracks. Sariol, 45, was behind bars late Wednesday after she surrendered to authorities. The Temple City resident called the United reservations line around 2 a.m. on Sept. 25 and told an airline representative there would “be an emergency”...

Oh my God, we really are in a theocracy. Are the Republicans so obsessed with maintaining control over all branches of government, and are the Democrats so emasculated about not having any power, that they are willing to turn the nation into a wholly owned subsidiary of the church? The more dogma-driven activists, self-perpetuating pols and ratings-crazed broadcast media prattle about "faith," the less we honor the credo that a person's relationship with God should remain a private matter. As the Bush White House desperately maneuvers in Iraq to prevent the new government from being run according to the dictates...

TO: Republican National Committee Cc: Butler Co. Republican party Ohio Republican Party George W. Bush Subject: Sitting this one out As a conservative, I have become increasingly disappointed at the leftward drift of the Republican Party under the leadership of George W. Bush. His monetary and immigration policies are prime examples. I have come to the conclusion that he is, quite simply, unacceptable. Furthermore, the overall position of the Republican Party is too far to the left to suit me. The argument that "the other guy is worse" is invalid. There is now such an indiscernible difference between the Republican...
