Joe Biden has never attended an Army-Navy football game while serving as the president of the United States. Will that change today? That's a question many people are asking this Saturday. Biden elected to skip out on attending the Army-Navy game in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Obviously, that didn't sit well with most Americans. They believe every president should attend this matchup. It's basically a tradition at this point. On Friday night, President-elect Donald Trump announced on social media that he'll be watching this afternoon's game at Northwest Stadium. He tweeted, "Will be going to the Army/Navy Game tomorrow to...

DeSantis is on the field, avoiding being in the booth with Trump, Thune, Johnson, Vance, Musk and Hegseth. Is DeSantis upset that he isn't SecDef pick? Is he too socially awkward to be around politically powerful people? DeSantis needs to learn how to interact with powerful people, even those he doesn't like.

Drama continues about DeSantis' next move as the money moves away from him. Did Florida’s Governor fumble his shot to run the Pentagon? That’s what investors in a prominent prediction market seem to believe Saturday morning. Per Polymarket, Ron DeSantis has fallen back behind Pete Hegseth, who is the current Donald Trump nominee to be Defense Secretary. A DeSantis ‘Yes’ share is priced at 23 cents, with a Hegseth Yes at 43 cents. DeSantis led in the betting market until Friday evening, with speculation swirling that he might replace the embattled former Fox News host as Trump’s pick for the...

President-elect Donald Trump is set to attend the Army-Navy football game, which will take place on December 14 in Landover, Maryland, according to a source familiar with the plans. The highly anticipated game is a traditional rivalry between the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy. Joining Trump at the game is expected to be Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who served in the United States Navy as a JAG officer. While it is not confirmed if their trips to the game are related, it is noteworthy that DeSantis is reportedly being considered as a potential replacement for...

CNN is under fire for allegedly publishing "Chinese propaganda" in a report that cites a media outlet controlled by the Chinese government. On Monday, CNN.com ran an article about China People's Liberation Army (PLA) supposedly having a foothold in the spread of the coronavirus in a branch of its military, running the headline, "China's PLA Navy is controlling coronavirus and aircraft carrier's deployment proves it, report says." "A Chinese naval flotilla headed into the Pacific over the weekend, evidence that the People's Liberation Army Navy has done a much better job controlling coronavirus than the US Navy, according to a...

When I was a youth, in the 1960’s and 1970’s, one of the biggest treats that my father would give us would be a trip to one of the nearby “Army and Navy” stores. We would hop in the car, and then ride for a spell (depending on the direction) from a half an hour to an hour and a half drive. We would stop along the way to get a soft-serve cone at Dairy Queen, and then spend an hour or so in the store. They all looked pretty much the same no matter where you went. The nearest...

Tim flagged this in his Saturday post about the annual Army-Navy football game, but I thought it merited its own post, just for maximum exposure. Â The game itself resulted in Army's second consecutive dramatic victory, after 14 straight years of Navy triumphs. Â Regardless, the performance of the Star Spangled Banner prior to the game, featuring the glee club from each military branch, was really beautiful -- especially amid the lightly falling December snow. Â A stirring, patriotic tribute. "Goosebumps" is right:2017 National Anthem at the Army-Navy Game (Video) And here's how the game ended, with apologies to the Midshipmen: NO GOOD....

A Concord state representative's email to Republican colleagues at the State House about her Army training is causing national controversy this morning. In the email July 21, State Rep. Lynne Blankenbeker, R-Concord, the city's only GOP rep., described some of the training she was getting at Fort Dix, before she ships off to Afghanistan later this year. Blankenbeker, who is a Naval Reservist nurse, said she was learning how to drive a hum vee for convoys, both day and night, as well as weapons training. Blankenbeker wrote: "Today I got to be the gunner which was fun. The .50cal is...

Obama Trifecta: President Obama just completed the UNHOLY and ANTI-AMERICAN TRIFECTA: 1st president in 110 years to miss the annual Army-Navy Football Game. 1st president to not attend any Christmas religious observance. 1st president to stay on vacation after a terrorist attack. Add to that the first President not to stay in Washington for Christmas for the last 20 years. Past Presidents did not leave Washington for Christmas vacation until after Christmas. This was done so that their staff (Secret Service, Air Force One Crew, Limousine transport, Presidential advancing logistics etc.) could be with their families for Christmas

Just thought with the game tomorrow and the Cadets/Midshipmen making their way to Phili today I'd create a thread for old grads from each side to root for their team.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2006 -- As the sun sank below Philadelphia’s skyline yesterday, gold helmets shone under the Lincoln Financial Field lights while the Naval Academy Midshipmen ground out a 26-14 win over the Black Knights of the Military Academy in the 107th Army-Navy football game. The Midshipmen’s hard-fought victory yesterday before a crowd of 68,000 – including thousands of current and graduated midshipmen, cadets, and their families -- puts Navy ahead of Army 51-49-7 in the overall series record and extends the Midshipmen’s winning streak to four years. Coming into the game, the well-calibrated Navy team had committed...

Weekend Thirteen cleared up the BCS title picture a bit. USC won convincingly against Notre Dame while Florida failed to get the style points needed to make a run at the Trojans and Wolverines. With Arkansas losing to LSU, Florida only theoretically has a chance at the title game. The weekend was not without surprises as Texas lost for the 2nd time in a row while West Virginia eliminated itself from Big East and BCS contention by losing to South Florida. The weekend also featured some great finishes with BYU, Georgia, Oklahoma and Tennessee pulling games out late. This week...

Here are the picks of several college football dignitaries along with Clucko the Chicken. Put down two feed dishes, one representing one team and one representing another and whichever dish the chicken goes to first is the team that's going to win. You'll do just as well. (Really, the pick is a coin flip. Don't laugh; Clucko won the 2000 Bowl Pool among 24 entrants.) You can get to the Expert Picks in the above dropdown under Predictions. The pickers: Pete Fiutak - CFN, Rich Cirminiello - CFN, Matthew Zemek - CFN, Mark Risley - CFN, John Harris - CFN,...

CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, AR RAMADI, Iraq (August 6, 2005) -- An army Blackhawk helicopter sets gently down in the sand in the dark of night. Navy corpsmen shout over the screeching whirl of the whipping blades to prepare the battle wounded Marines for boarding. Shadowy figures carrying stretchers scurry across the field toward the plane and disappear into the fuselage. The remaining Marines on the ground brace themselves and shield their eyes as the rotor wash blasts sand in all directions. In less than an hour from the time they received their wounds, each Marine will be in safe hands...

We supplement our post below on the president's attendance at the Army-Navy game yesterday with the following eyewitness report. Navy partisan and Power Line reader Rick Hine writes: I've been an avid Powerline reader for more than a year. My wife and I are the proud parents of two Naval Academy midshipmen - Adam (07) and Carolynn (08). I attended the game on Saturday and wanted to add the following observations on President Bush's appearance: 1. At about 1245 (two hours before kickoff and shortly after the marchon of the Corps of Cadets and Brigade of Midshipmen) the crowd received...

If anyone's interested, we can toss our observations of the Army-Navy game around...not about the game, but about all the little things that really pi** off Blue America. Case in point. They had a prayer in a public stadium between two public schools. Then - boy, will they hate this - George W. Bush himself came out to toss the coin.

PHILADELPHIA -- The roar of Air Force One and a tip of its wing over the playing field signaled President Bush's presence Saturday at the Army-Navy football game, a matchup steeped in tradition and shadowed today by the war in Iraq.
