I didn't have anything better to do this Monday so after 43 years I totaled our plane. Time to get out.

Candice Owens revealed that the US leader called her from Mar-a-Lago and told her about the French president's demandsMOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. Journalist Candice Owens told TASS that French President Emmanuel Macron informed US leader Donald Trump that he’s fed up with stories that his wife, Brigitte Macron, is a man, going so far as to say he wouldn’t sign a certain deal on Ukraine if the hate didn’t stop. "President Trump called me. That was not a tale, it's a true story. I have the phone records. And he called me from Mar-a-Lago, actually. So he says, well, you...

Yes, you can build your very own nuclear fusion reactor in your house! But first, a few warnings: -This project includes lethal voltage levels. Make sure you know your high voltage safety or have a qualified electrical advisor. -Potentially hazardous levels of x-rays will be produced. Lead shielding of viewports is a must! -Deuterium, an explosive gas, will be used. Make sure to check for fuel leaks. -All the other inherent dangers of a home engineering project of this degree (a wide gamut of potential injuries, damage to the checking account, and the loss of general sanity) ========================================================================================== Here are...

They break into your house and steal the stuff you worked so hard to buy. They rob you on the street in broad daylight. They pull you out of your car at a traffic light and take it. They convince your grandma that they are you and need bail money. They walk into acstore and grab things. They break the jewelry cases and steal the jewelry. They overrun a convenience store and take what they like. They steal your credit card numbers and buy themselves stuff. They steal your bank account numbers and empty your accounts. They convince you to...

The Death Of ROCK These are some points to consider about the death of Rock Music. 1. Neil Young was wrong in singing that rock and roll would never die in his song “Hey, Hey, My My.” 2. The four hotels in my small home town which hosted rock bands -- the Norfolk, the GUV. The Melbourne, the Village Pump -- also died as a result of rock's death. If nobody sees bands -- no liquor sales. 3. There are no new rock bands in the Top 40, no anticipation of newly released band material. 4. Only old bands exist...

I was hoping that this would resolve itself but it has not….. Yesterday, a post was put up on FR and I wanted to see more than just the provided excerpt, so I clicked on the source link.Ever since I did that, every tab that gets opened on my iPad (Safari browser) to an FR forum or page/post, the new tab has the number 2 in white with a blue background preceding the FR forum name or article title. The number font and coloring is identical to the news station’s (2 Idaho News) logo that was used as the source link.Here...

Used my Linux Mint 20 Pc to post some text the other day and it disappeared. That supports the theory that it was not just a Windows 11 problem. Rather than wasting any more time with disappearing text, I'm going to retire from Free Republic. RIP.

Around here I don't need to explain the dynamics of a huge confrontation between globalists-Democrats-leftists and the president and his team and support base. It is the extension of the confrontations of the past three elections. I've been uneasy with Trump's performance and behavior, I think some people want a Pinochet type leader which might in itself be incompatible with the fundamentals of a constitutional republic, but in fact, the president seems a little closer to Mussolini in style than to Pinochet. I think some of his moves on the world stage have been clumsy and ill-advised. And this is...

Rebuilding Ukraine from the devastating consequences of the conflict with Russia will require a significant investment of capital. Since Ukraine currently survives mainly on foreign money, it is not surprising that the severe attraction of foreign investments is necessary to implement plans to return the country to its pre-war state. In September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting via video link with Larry Fink, head of one of the largest international investment companies BlackRock, during which potential opportunities for attracting public and private investments to Ukraine were discussed. As a result of these negotiations in November, a memorandum...

I'm losing faith in republicans to be completely honest, I believe in "Liberal Democracy" I mean people should have the freedom to choose and elect what is they system and political alignment that best suits their values and worldview having a goon squad shoot American citizens is nowhere near what my values are I am a conservative, I believe in Person responsibility, governance by consent, limited government control over personal legal enterprise and entrepreneurship

As I was typing in a contribution to Free Republic and ready to hit the Enter Key, it all disappeared. Yep all that I had typed had simply disappeared. No warning message, nothing. Has it happened to anyone else? Then it hit me,

Forgive me, but I've had two recent breaks and left wondering why and how to avoid them in future! I think they want less posts about Rand which is fine. He's only been in the news recently because of disagreement with Trump on a few issues. If you disagree with Trump and are a prominent politician i.e a U.S senator the media take a natural and close interest and yes, I know it's not helpful but that's not my fault. This explains why. Prior to this Rand struggle(d) to get coverage in the last 15 years he is after all...

December 20th marks ny 25th anniversary of joining FR. When I joined I was a career cop in My early thirties. I was freshly married and optimistic. I am now divorced, retired and disabled. Through all the crap that's gone on these 25 years I can honestly say that my optimism is somewhat diminished . But not entirely extinguished. I still believe we can make a difference in the here and now. But added to that, I've come to understand that it's also preparing for a much longer future when we leave this world. Jim: RIP, God bless you and...

I'm opening this thread as a tribute to a imperfect man with a genius set of pipes and sense of melody. It was 45 years ago when I was walking through the gate at Subic Bay to get a cold San Miguel and some pizza at Shakey's. I heard Beatles songs playing from every venue and the girls were out on the sidewalk and in the street, sobbing and hugging. That's when I heard what was surely a lightning bolt from the heavens: John Lennon is dead!

There was a thread earlier entitled "Too Many Americans Want a Civil War." Referring to the Kirk assassination, the author warned "how close the country had come to a 'potential' civil war." I've got news for him, and everyone else. Technically speaking, we're not "potentially" in Civil War II, it's already begun. Anyone involved with or familiar with various factions of the intel community, which geek-out on societal analysis, will tell you it's here. The 3 phases of civil war are, technically, classified as follows: 1. Routine Peaceful Competition Remember, not too long ago, when we could argue vociferously, especially...
