ALLENTOWN, PA-September 6, 2004 — Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, has canceled an appearance in the Lehigh Valley after suffering an upset stomach that briefly sent her to a hospital over the weekend. Kerry campaign spokesman Mark Nevins says Heinz Kerry will participate in Labor Day events in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia today. But she's skipping the Lehigh Valley Labor Council picnic in Upper Macungie Township to give her a chance to rest.
