  • Emptying Gitmo Was Obama’s Goal, Bergdahl Was Just His Political Cover

... There was one constant for Obama throughout this process, and it wasn’t Bowe Bergdahl’s freedom. It was the freedom of five of the most deadly Taliban terrorists. Obama couldn’t solve a problem like Guantanamo without first dealing with its most notorious and dangerous residents. The president couldn’t just free the terrorists, though; he needed a sympathetic reason. Enter Bowe Bergdahl. The White House couldn’t just come out and say Bergdahl was a deserter, otherwise people might focus on the true cost of the deal rather than its stated benefit. Obama couldn’t just inform Congress and set a precedent for...

USSR, 1959: I am a "young pioneer" in school. History classes remind us that there is a higher authority than their parents and teachers: the leaders of the Communist Party. The story of young pioneer Pavlik Morozov is required reading. Pavlik reported his father to the secret police for disobeying government regulations. His life exemplified the duty of all good Soviet citizens to serve their government. From the first year in school, all of us are made aware of our ethnicity (ethnic Russian, Jewish, Asian, etc.) and class (proletariat, intelligentsia), around which society is structured. This inherent divisiveness makes it...
  • America already has universal healthcare and it has failed miserably

That's right folks! The caterwauling liberals who have been whining for more of our hard earned taxpayer dollars to pay for state run health care are either too stupid to know or don't want you to know that we have in many parts of America, universal health care. Not only that, just like the ones in Canada, Britain and elsewhere, it is cumbersome, costly and a failure. I decided to take a break from my series on Vladamir Lenin and the United States to write about this after receiving several nagging emails from those who read my articles here and...
  • Freepers In Support Of The Supreme Court

I think there are many Freepers who are tired of this constant bashing of the Supreme Court for Lawrence v. Texas. I think they did a great job and stuck a knife in the heart of big government. Individual liberty is at the heart of what conservatism is all about - the individual having primacy over the state. It disturbs me that there are so many who wanted to see the state prevail in its desire to regulate private, individual freedoms. I say, good job, to a consistent, conservative SC! You did exactly what you're supposed to be doing.
