We have come to a situation where we need to have a wheelchair van for my disabled spouse, unfortunately it seems that they don't mean what they say about them being accessible. How is a disabled person supposed to be able to spend $60,000 in order to be able to go anywhere? Forget asking charitable organizations that are more than willing to take your money, but when it comes to getting help you need...crickets. I need some advice/information from fellow Freeper wheelchair users. I am going to be using a wheelchair for a number of months while getting physical therapy. I ordered a four foot ramp outside my door for access over an eight inch step. I now find that the one inch difference between the ramp and my floor is too much to manuever. Does anyone know of something I can use to level it off so that I can get on the ramp?
