John Kerry wants neither American nor our allies’ military pullout from Iraq. Kerry even approached the Spanish prime-minister with this in mind but found no understanding at all. Mr. Salatero was firm in his denial of the prolonged Spanish military presence in Iraq ‘where during the last year of peace there were more killed than during the previous year at war.
