Here is audio of Rush Limbaugh talking about Obama's speech to students today. Limbaugh said Obama's speech today was not the "original intent." He went on to say the "the original intent of the speech was a dear leader kind of thing," and "right out of the pages of Kim Jong Il." (Watch Video)

Dems Held Hearings on Bush 41's Speech to School Kids

Odagma greeted by Patriots with sign stating, "Mr. President, stay away from our kids." This follows Dept of Ed retracting controversial materials that they admitted were of questionable intent. Wow this guy is tone deaf to what currently people want.

A controversy has erupted over President Obama’s plan to address your children today in schools all over the U.S. Conservatives have rallied in opposition to the president’s address saying that the president’s agenda may not be one of education or inspiration, but of indoctrination. Those accusations have targeted the “Lesson Plan” that is to accompany the speech, rather than the speech itself. Following the conservative backlash, the White House issued a statement saying the “Lesson Plan” had been “inartfully worded” and the president and his people began to position the planned speech and lesson plan simply as a call from...

Tomorrow as we send our children and grandchildren off to school, I ask that each of you take the time to pray in EARNEST that their minds, their souls and their spirits are UNTOUCHED by what will be fed them. I realize you've all been doing this already....but I felt led to post this as a reminder.Thanks....

When Bush spoke to students, Democrats investigated, held hearings By: Byron York Chief Political Correspondent 09/08/09 7:11 AM EDT The controversy over President Obama's speech to the nation's schoolchildren will likely be over shortly after Obama speaks today at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. But when President George H.W. Bush delivered a similar speech on October 1, 1991, from Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington DC, the controversy was just beginning. Democrats, then the majority party in Congress, not only denounced Bush's speech -- they also ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate its production and later summoned...

OK, so it’s a lovely, fairly innocuous speech. So, were conservatives justified in opposing this presentation? Perhaps not, but I can’t help but wonder—based on all we know about Obama’s past with radical “educators” who have openly expressed their belief that the schoolchildren is where the revolutions are sown—what the speech looked like before the Right started complaining about it. What am I saying? That there was an original speech that was much different than this original one? Well, I don’t have proof, but yes, I do. There seems to be a repeating pattern: The Obama administration and/or Democrat Congress...

It’s fairly simple, really. Tens of millions of American parents don’t trust him. The upset over this morning’s presidential address to schoolchildren isn’t about the partisan divide, it’s about the president’s arrogance. After seven months of crammed-down-your-throat Obama agenda, half the country has had a bellyful. After seven months of being told that they don’t matter, half the country is returning the sentiment. They don’t trust him with their children not because they’re paranoid, but because he’s not trustworthy. He has shown himself to be an enemy to their values and beliefs – to be hostile to their families and...

The President: Hello everyone – how’s everybody doing today? I’m here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we’ve got students tuning in from all across America, kindergarten through twelfth grade. I’m glad you all could join us today.

I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it’s your first day in a new school, so it’s understandable if you’re a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now, with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer, and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little longer this morning.

As an observer of the Oba-Hussein Administration strategy and tactics, which increasingly seems to misjudge the minds of the American people and bask in the narcissistic glow of accolades from their core admirers and bought supporters, it occurred to me that the choice of Tuesday September 8th to try to hog the national news scene has much to do with another MAJOR event taking place on that date at 8:00 a.m. in Santa Ana, California. Federal District Court Judge, David O. Carter, will begin hearing the Obama eligibility case brought by Orly Taitz on behalf of Presidential candidate Alan Keyes...

Gov. Rick Perry says he can understand why some parent are upset that President Obama plans to talk to school children next Tuesday via a webcast. The event is touted as a way for the president to talk to students about the importance of education and taking responsibility for learning. Presidents Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush made similiar pitches to school kids way back when, in a different time, in a different political atmosphere. In an interview with AP, Perry said he disagreed with some conservative groups calling on parents to pull their children out of school, saying, he's...

Public schools around the country have recieved their orders. Broadcast the president's message on September 8 and follow with a carefully worded "feel good" q&a period. Some schools have taken the initiative to simply say no. Others have taken the position that the speech WILL be shown to a "captive" audience during civics class, extended study, whatever. Then there's a 3rd position, which is the "option" to choose to stay or not. Supply a note to the school prior to the viewing and they will be excused to go to the library. This "option" is the Obama administrations preference. It...

Amidst widespread concern among parents that the President’s address to school children this coming week is an attempt at indoctrination, the President’s Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, derided them as “silly.” “The President is all about the future,” Gibbs said. “It’s imperative that he reach young minds before they are calcified by the ideas of their parents. The speech and accompanying lesson plan are aimed at avoiding this calcification and energizing the momentum for change in the upcoming generation.” Critics contend that their concern isn’t over the speech itself. President Bush addressed school children in 1991. It’s the “accompanying lesson plan”...

September 05, 2009, 7:00 a.m. The Omnipresent LeaderThey want us to “pledge to be a servant to our president”? By Mark Steyn On Friday, I had the rare honor of appearing in the pages of the New York Times, apropos President Obama’s plans to beam himself into every schoolhouse in the land in the peculiar belief that Generation iPod will find this an enthralling technical novelty. As Times reporters James C. McKinley Jr. and Sam Dillon wrote: “Mark Steyn, a Canadian author and political commentator, speaking on the Rush Limbaugh show on Wednesday, accused Mr. Obama of trying to...

A new high-tech Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Racism. And parents too dumb to raise their children. That was how NBC sought to explain away opposition to Pres. Obama's planned speech to schoolchildren. View video here.

Behind the tumult of ObamaCare and attempts to hold America’s children hostage to indoctrination at their first day back at school this year, history is being rewritten by Barack Hussein Obama and his Shadow Government of Czars. Will historians someday record September 2009 as “September’s Swan Song for America”? America and Free World patriots: This is what Obama and His Shadow Government have lined up for you: Timeline: Sept. 8: Back to School when tens of millions of children from pre-kindergarten and up will see pictures, not of Presidents Washington and Jefferson but ones of an anti-American, whose own...

In a nationally televised educational address next Tuesday Barack Obama is scheduled to, according to the Department of Education, “challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning.” Concerns by many Americans that Mr. Obama’s televised address to schoolchildren will simply represent a forum for socialist indoctrination are wildly “overwrought” according to a Wall Street Journal editorial today: “America's children are not so vulnerable that we need to slap an NC-17 rating on Presidential speeches. Given how many minority children struggle in school, a pep talk from the first African-American President could even do some...

Chris Healy, chairman of the Connecticut Republican Party, called Obama's speech "perfectly appropriate" and predicted that children would be excited to hear it. "I think people have got to relax," Healy said. "There is plenty to criticize the president on when he's speaking to adults. But he is a role model and a historic figure, no matter what you think of his policies. He's a smart person and he's a product of education himself." With GOP Chairmen like this, who need Democrats? Let Chris Healy let you know how you feel about his comments: email: political@ctgop.org Phone: (860) 826-7378 Fax:...

On Tuesday, September 8, 2009, Broward County Public Schools students will have the opportunity to watch an online national address from President Obama on the importance of education. The Web address can be seen locally in Broward County at 12 noon on the White House Web site (www.whitehouse.gov/live), and broadcast live on BECON Channel 24. According to Superintendent James F. Notter, there have been several calls into the Superintendent’s Office suggesting and/or requesting that alternative space and activities be provided for those students wishing to “opt out” of this activity. “As one of the premier major school systems in America,...
