Obama's Attempt at Civil Wars in School

Public schools around the country have recieved their orders. Broadcast the president's message on September 8 and follow with a carefully worded "feel good" q&a period. Some schools have taken the initiative to simply say no. Others have taken the position that the speech WILL be shown to a "captive" audience during civics class, extended study, whatever. Then there's a 3rd position, which is the "option" to choose to stay or not. Supply a note to the school prior to the viewing and they will be excused to go to the library.

This "option" is the Obama administrations preference. It will polarize our children causing mini wars and hard feelings toward one another and each others families. Children that choose to attend the speech have just revealed their preference in politics. Children who choose not to have just accomplished the same.

My 15 year old daughter said she's nervous to come to school with the note to excuse her. Her concern is that she's not sure who will stay behind to watch and if any of her friends stay, her opinion of them and her relationship with them would likely change. There's the rub. The entire intention is to piss everyone off! Pit children against each other. Initiate heated, usually uninformed political discussions. Start ill feelings between families. Destroy friendships.

I've never seen such division between Americans as I'm witnessing today. Seeing an Obama sticker on a car enrages me. My "Palin" sticker seems to attract "bird flipping" from Obamabots just for going the speed limit. There is no such thing as a healthy political debate between neighbors or friends. Usually, the topic of politics is avoided for this reason. People are leary of others opinions for fear of what they'll find out or what will happen to their relationship.

The "opt out" as it's called is also faintly familiar in that it mirrors what the unions are trying to do today. Pass a law requiring voting for or against unions to be made public, in order to single out and expose dissent.

On September 8, I don't believe there is any other option than to simply keep your kids at home. But this speech will be the "buzz" of the schools for days to come. Because of the "option" polarization between students will be unavoidable. Our school board and the principals have received hundreds of anti-Obama e-mails and calls. The next step is, of course, to vote the idiots out of office in 2010. Congress AND the school board!

Call your ELECTED school officials and complain about the blatant propaganda.

No problem with the speech, just the lessons that go along with it.

It wouldn’t be lying to call the school that morning and say that your child is home because he/she is “sick to their stomach.” It’s universally a true complaint these days among conservatives.

In other words, the target is our children.
