Acting US Attorney Ed Martin clawed back $1 million from a consulting firm that overbilled USAID by inflating its employee salary costs. This is one of the reasons why the Democrats and RINOs are stonewalling his confirmation. Per the US Attorney’s Office of DC: Stax Inc., a private consulting based in Boston, Massachusetts, has agreed to pay $1 million to resolve allegations it overbilled the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in claims for salary reimbursement in the implementation of the U.S. Government funded Sri Lanka@100 project. This matter came to the U.S. Attorney’s Office from the USAID Office of...

One million Americans have now died from the coronavirus, according to an announcement made Thursday by President Joe Biden, marking a long-dreaded milestone for an incomprehensible tragedy. "Today, we mark a tragic milestone: one million American lives lost to COVID-19. One million empty chairs around the dinner table. Each an irreplaceable loss. Each leaving behind a family, a community, and a nation forever changed because of this pandemic. Jill and I pray for each of them," Biden said in a statement. "As a nation, we must not grow numb to such sorrow. To heal, we must remember."

A massive manhunt for Dorner began last week after the 33-year-old former Los Angeles police officer and Navy veteran allegedly began a deadly campaign that has left three people dead and two others injured. Dorner is believed to be upset over his firing from the department in 2009.

The super PAC backing President Obama raised $15 million last month, including $1 million from Sam Walton, the chairman of Wal-Mart, a traditional Republican-leaning organization. ...The overlap between campaign fundraisers and donors to the purportedly independent super PAC help illuminate the increasingly blurred line between the two types of organizations. The Supreme Court gave super PACs the green light in 2010 when it reasoned that because super PACs were supposed to be entirely separate from politicians, super PACs could not be corrupting to those politicians even if they received millions of dollars. 148 people have given $10,000 or more to...

Daley Can Take $1.1 Million With Him Unlike his brothers, lawyer Michael and banker Bill, Mayor Richard M. Daley didn’t use the family name to amass wealth. He used it to amass power. But now, the mayor has a chance to convert his power into wealth. Which is what being a Chicago politician is all about, after all. Because he chose not to run for re-election, Daley still has $1.1 million in his campaign fund. In 1998, the General Assembly banned politicians from converting leftover campaign money for personal use. But, of course, the law included a grandfather clause, so...

Fox Phoenix is reporting that a Mexican Drug Cartel allegedly placed a $1 Million hit on Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona. You may ask, "Name one single reason a bunch of drug pushers in Mexico could possibly have to give a rip about anything some sherrif in Arizona is doing?" Well, for starters, the million dollar bounty was announced on the very day that portions of SB 1070 (Arizona's immigration law) went into effect, Sheriff Arpaio, and may be no other sheriff in the state of Arizona more eager to arrest illegals--especially those employed by drug cartels--than Sheriff...

A source on Rep. Joe Wilson's campaign says his fundraising has broken $1 million -- and surpassed that of his Democratic rival, Rob Miller -- since his outburst of "You lie!" during President Obama's address to Congress Wednesday. ---Snip--- Still, Wilson's success -- despite having been criticized by Republican leaders -- represents the power of the conservative grassroots to reward politicians who confront the White House in the sharpest terms.

Just seen on Fox. Congressman Pallone now on with Cavuto trying to agree with Biden. Cavuto is having none of it, remarking that the Libs are using a New Math that simply lies by labeling such things as impossible future green jobs as "new jobs." Says Cavuto, if either Nixon or Bush had said we were creating a million jobs during previous recessions, they would have been laughed out of the country. But the press brothel -- silent in the face of such lies -- is still running interference for Obama. Pallone just said that the hope of creating a...

A Delray Beach [Florida] woman sued the religious movement Jews for Jesus, claiming its members fraudulently reported that she converted to the organization's beliefs. Edith Rapp says her stepson Bruce Rapp wrote in a 2002 Jews for Jesus newsletter that he watched while she tearfully and spontaneously converted to the movement at her husband's bedside. She said the account is "completely fictitious" and invented to bolster Bruce Rapp's credentials among Jews for Jesus. "She is humiliated, shocked, appalled," said her attorney, Barry Silver.
