(CNSNews.com) - The Illinois State Rifle Association is urging hunters and sportsmen to oppose a gun control proposal scheduled to come before the Des Plaines City Council on April 15th. Under that proposal, the ISRA said, Des Plaines residents would be required to surrender many of their lawfully owned firearms to police or face jail time. The ordinance would also ban Des Plaines residents from purchasing or possessing many types of ammunition.
