Stocks added to their sharp losses Thursday, with the S&P 500 piercing through a key technical support level, as ongoing economic jitters in addition to a gloomy outlook from the Federal Reserve fueled fears of a global recession. The Dow bobbed in and out of its August closing low of 10,719.94 and is on track for its worst week in almost 2-1/2 years.
