President Bush landed here in Air Force 1 with a full escort about 30 minutes ago. Apparently he diverted from Florida and has landed safely here. Base is on full alert. This report was confirmed by LA Congressman Jim McCrery. (via phone) Again, President Bush is safe at Barksdale AFB (B-52 base!)

Orrin Hatch on CNN says FBI and Intellegence officials have pointed to Bin-Laden as the mastermind for today's attacks.

I am not qualified to speak on any of this, so I will. I have reached the conclusion that this action has been in the works for years, and maybe a decade. This is not a bunch of nickel-dime terrorist who woke up one day and decide to raise a little hell. People were put in place, policies were altered, huge amounts of money was raised, people in both high and low places have been making things happen for a long time and this morning was just the end (maybe) result. I just went out and raised the American flag to show those who carried out this treacherous act that America will not be deterred. All Americans should do the same.

Israel has evacuated all of its embassies throughout the world in the aftermath of today's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, according to a CNN report. Reports are indicating residents of eastern Jerusalem, the West Bank, and southern Lebanon are celebrating the mass terror attacks in the United States at this time. Dozens of Palestinian youths have taken to the streets and are distributing candies on a main thoroughfare passing through eastern Jerusalem. Israeli police are reportedly clashing with the youths. Elsewhere in the West Bank, Palestinian Authority policemen are attempting to stop the spontaneous celebrations.

I thank God we have the freedoms we have in this country. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Today is a special election in Macomb County Michigan. The four candidates that MCRGO is endorsing are Alan Sanborn, Sue Rocca, Steve Thomas, and Alvin Kukuk. All those candidates are endorsed. I'd vote for Sanborn if I voted there, but the other three are good.

A word of support and encouragment on behalf of Canadian freepers to all U.S. freepers and everyone else there because of these infamous acts against the U.S. The U.S. is the last bastion of freedom and conservatism on this planet. I'd like to share what it has been like here in midtown Manhattan... I'll provide some running commentary with my observations.

Dear Fellow Americans, I have read so many posts, with the opinion going to war. Yes, we have been attacked, the source, not really known, verified yet. And perhaps it will be many years later, when we are really told the truth. Just remember, Pearl Harbor, the USA didnt want to be involved in war....that was delibrate to involve us, to make Americans mad enough to join in the war. It was a delibrate action. And how many innocents died then? Including our own? And those innocents in other countries. War is not the answer, but probably what someone INTENDS. ...

Our local news channel, WOODTV, has just reported that several school districts are closing schools early, mainly due to parents coming to school and taking their children home. The terrorist attacks across the US have shakened many, many parents. Many other school related activites have been cancelled for the day, as well as after school activites this evening.
