The gunman who opened fire outside a crowded Texas bar and killed three people in an attack that wounded more than a dozen had not been on the radar of authorities, federal and local investigators said Monday. The FBI and police in Austin said it’s too soon to identify the motive behind the mass shooting early Sunday that the FBI has said is being investigated as a potential act of terrorism, coming after the US and Israel launched an attack on Iran. “Our ultimate goal in everything we do is to determine the motive,” Alex Doran, the acting agent in...

Britain, France and Germany have announced coordinated cooperation with the United States and its allies regarding the escalating confrontation with Iran, signalling a widening international involvement in the crisis. It’s no secret that Iranian terrorists are here in the U.S. Democrats’ open border policies made their infiltration much easier. U.S. counterterrorism agencies are on high alert for potential retaliation after the American government joined Israel in launching a coordinated operation named Epic Fury against Iran over the weekend. Already, at least two Americans have died and more than a dozen have been injured after a 53-year-old gunman, reportedly clothed in an Iranian flag T-shirt and “Property of Allah” sweatshirt, opened fire at an Austin bar one day after the strikes commenced. While it’s unclear if this alleged terrorism...

Israeli forces struck an Iranian Supreme Council gathering on Tuesday as the group was meeting to choose a successor to the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a senior Israeli official told Fox News. Fox News' Trey Yingst reported the update on live on Fox on Tuesday morning, saying the move "speaks to the Israeli intelligence about this war." "They just targeted the meeting in Tehran where what's left of the leadership was gathering to choose a new Supreme Leader," Yingst said. The U.S. and Israel killed 49 of Iran's most senior leaders in the opening salvo of Operation Epic Fury on...

U.S. first lady Melania Trump presided over a U.N. Security Council meeting on Monday focusing on children in conflict, one of her signature issues, and acknowledged she was doing so in "challenging times" as the United States has joined Israel in attacking Iran. Hanging over Monday's meeting was what Iranian state media says was an airstrike that hit a girls' school in southern Iran, killing at least 165 people and wounding dozens more. The Israeli military said it was not aware of strikes in the area. The U.S. military said it was looking into the reports. ... Shortly before Monday's...

A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes completely into the dark inner shadow, or umbra, cast by the Earth. On March 3, one hundred percent of the round disk of the full Moon slowly moves into the dark shadow, and the bright Moon grows dim. The Moon does not, however, go completely dark. Instead, it usually glows with a copper or red color, a result of sunlight being filtered and bent through the Earth’s atmosphere (much like a sunset). The lunar eclipse is visible throughout southern California and may be seen easily with the unaided eye, although telescopes...

When it comes to striking Iran, Donald Trump has been consistent for 47 years. Look at this clip from October 1980 when he called for military intervention to free American hostages taken during the Iranian Revolution. Also FYI: during his 2016,2020 and 2024 presidential campaigns, he consistently said multiple times that Iran "will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon." Below is the 1980 transcript: Donald Trump in 1980: "When you get the respect of other countries then the other countries tend to do a little bit as you do and you can create the right attitudes. The Iranian...

“That a government’s primary responsibility is to its citizens should not be a controversial proposition.” —Coddled Affluent Professional on X. Senator Mitch McConnell shadows Majority Leader John Thune. The zeitgeist is a rough beast, hard to ride as it slouches into the unknown. Our country is trying to hang on while a party of goblins vexes and needles the beast from behind, and you cannot make them stop. Sense-making gets to seem impossible. We don’t have an explanation from Senate Majority Leader John Thune as to why he will not do what is within his power to do: pass election reform,...

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice.” Matthew 23:1–3Why do you do what you do? Even when our actions appear good, reverent, or charitable, they can be motivated by pride. The scribes and Pharisees struggled with this very sin. They often performed their acts of piety and charity not to glorify God but to win...

Israel is preparing to share its most treasured military secrets with India as part of a deepened strategic alliance, it has been reported. According to media reports, Israel might agree to share key technological components of Iron Dome (and related systems like Iron Beam) under a "Make in India" style arrangement to integrate them into India's planned multi-layer air defence network, including Mission Sudarshan Chakra. However, nothing is officially signed yet the deal is still speculative and in the negotiation phase, with technology transfer expected to be the focus rather than an off-the-shelf system delivery. If finalised, this could significantly...

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot held a call on Monday with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi to discuss the Iran war and both agreed to work on de-escalation, Barrot's office said in a statement. Both ministers committed to seeking a political solution that would guarantee collective security and take into account the aspirations of the Iranian people, the statement said. Barrot "reiterated the Iranian regime's responsibility for the ongoing escalation, after it unjustifiably attacked several countries in the region," the statement said. He also criticised the Iranian regime for refusing to respect the resolutions from the United Nations' Security Council...

As well documented by now, affluent white female urban liberals exhibit AWFUL behavior. So awful that the legacy media is desperately defending them, lest they lose control of their woke narrative. Clearly, the accurate acronym strikes a sensitive nerve. With apologies to Shakespeare aficionados, "the [MSM] doth protest too much, methinks." Unfortunately, their awful Dem deportment is poised to become downright atrocious. Most of today’s billionaire “policy mistakes” are self-made. Many are brilliant, visionary businessmen and entrepreneurs who have created more societal wealth (new industries, products, markets, jobs, tax revenues…) than they have consumed. That is about to change: in...

A Volusia County sheriff’s deputy is recuperating after being shot twice while responding to a call on Monday. Deputy José Rivera was struck in the chest and thigh, but officials say his body camera prevented more serious injuries by deflecting one of the rounds. Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood credited the equipment with saving the deputy’s life. Chitwood described the outcome of the shooting as “divine intervention” when speaking to reporters about Rivera’s survival and subsequent medical transport. The shooting occurred while Rivera was responding to a call on Monday. Rivera was struck once in the chest and once in...

The United States Department of Education announced on February 17 that it was opening an investigation into Portland Public Schools (PPS) over a complaint that the district’s Center for Black Student Excellence (CBSE) violates the federal Civil Rights Act. The Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights is investigating a complaint filed in December, alleging the CBSE violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which banned discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in education programs and activities that receive federal funding. According to Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey: “Civil rights law—and basic fairness—demand that...

A Portland City Council anti-discrimination proposal would redefine families as any consensual relationship, even those with multiple partners, non-monogamous lovers, multigenerational households and stepfamilies. The measure would prohibit discrimination of such families by landlords, employers, city government and businesses. Portland is set to join Somerville, Mass., Berkeley, and Oakland as cities recognizing polyamorous relationships. This comes at the same time as Oregon couples were featured on a polygamy TV reality show called PolyFamily. It was also featured nationally as a way to save on daycare expenses. This is not helpful for Portland’s decline. • Making Portland an icon for polygamy...

A Minnesota prosecutor announced an investigation Monday that may lead to charges against federal officers, including Border Patrol official Greg Bovino, for misconduct during an immigration enforcement crackdown. Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said in a news conference that her office is already looking into 17 cases, including one where Bovino threw a smoke canister at protesters on Jan. 21. Another on Jan. 7 involved federal officers making an arrest outside a high school and deploying chemical irritants while students and staff were in the area. “Make no mistake, we are not afraid of the legal fight, and we are...
