Our Founding Fathers were geniuses. They were far from perfect, but they were generally virtuous men, and they gifted us with a constitution far superior to anything that had ever been written. The document they wrote was imperfect, as all things that men create are, but it was extraordinary nonetheless – even with the 3/5 Compromise. They gave us a system with a separation of powers, both within the federal government and between the federal and state governments. The Bill of Rights, which was basically the quid pro quo agreed to for ratification, extended that distribution of powers by recognizing...

As events in the Middle East and the Gulf region unfold “extremely rapidly,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine knows “all too well” what such escalation means, pointing to Iran’s role in supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine. “Although Ukrainians never threatened Iran, the Iranian regime chose to become Putin’s accomplice,” Zelensky said in a statement on Saturday. He said Iran supplied Russia not only with Shahed drones but also with technologies to produce them, as well as other weapons. According to Zelensky, Russia has used more than 57,000 Shahed-type attack drones during the full-scale war, targeting Ukrainian civilians, cities and...

A major geopolitical flashpoint erupted across the Middle East on Saturday after Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting multiple Gulf nations, prompting Saudi Arabia to issue a blistering condemnation of what it described as “brutal Iranian aggression.” Saudi officials made it clear that Riyadh is standing in full solidarity with the nations targeted in Saturday’s coordinated Iranian assault. In its statement, the Kingdom warned that the attacks represent blatant violations of international law and expressed its readiness to assist its regional allies with “all its capabilities.” According to a statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry: The Kingdom of Saudi...

A Brazilian veterinary student could spend up to a decade behind bars, merely for expressing her views of gender ideology on social media. At the heart of the matter are two social media posts published in 2020 that questioned prevailing claims about gender ideology. For example, Isadora said that a man who identifies as a woman is still “born male” and “retains their birth DNA.” For statements like that, prosecutors are now seeking a sentence that could stretch to ten years in prison.

Iranian officials couched their proposal in maximalist terms - not the language of a party intent on genuine breakthrough agreements but one of a regime intent on extracting breathing room. For months now, Western capitals have clung to the hope that Iran’s return to the negotiating table represents a genuine opportunity for a durable nuclear agreement. Yet, as the latest round of talks in Geneva concludes, it is increasingly clear that Tehran’s priority is not a deal but delay. The regime in Tehran has mastered the art of diplomacy as a stalling tactic, using negotiations not to reach closure but...

A Chicago man is accused of robbing a Red Line passenger last week while on electronic monitoring for robbing another CTA passenger last year. Incredibly, he was on electronic monitoring at the time of last year’s robbery, too. Shannon Stephens, 23, was arrested following the February 19 robbery of a 16-year-old boy on a Red Line train near Garfield, Chicago police said. He and 20-year-old Markell Harper, of Gary, Indiana, approached the boy while wearing ski masks and hoodies and demanded the victim’s scooter and its key, according to a CPD report. When the victim said he did not have...

(WHTM) – U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is reacting Saturday morning to the United States and Israel’s attack on Iran. The attack, which reportedly appeared to target the compound home to Iran’s 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in downtown Tehran, comes as President Donald Trump claimed Iran has continued to develop its nuclear program and plans to develop missiles to reach the U.S. “President Trump has been willing to do what’s right and necessary to produce real peace in the region,” said Fetterman on social media. “God bless the United States, our great military, and Israel.”

French President Emmanuel Macron called President Trump’s attack on Iran “dangerous” and urged both sides to go back to the negotiation table. “The ongoing escalation is dangerous for all,” he said in a statement posted on social media. “It must stop. The Iranian regime must understand that it now has no other option but to engage in good faith in negotiations to end its nuclear and ballistic programs, as well as its regional destabilization activities. This is absolutely necessary for the security of all in the Middle East.” He also called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security...

I am thinking about doing a podcast on different topics. Here is an example called "Tips on Guitar Playing" that I would address. Are there any points missed that you can add? Tips On Guitar Playing 1. When you buy a guitar, get one that feels comfortable over one that looks great. 2. When choosing a guitar in a music store, let the guitar choose you. Guitars are like women, and if they like you, they will do everything to help you play the music. If they don’t like you, you will have a hard time trying to play them....
