Michelle Obama joined the sex and dating podcast “Call Her Daddy” to criticize society’s fixation on women’s appearances while promoting her new book, “The Look,” which explores her outfits as the former first lady. Without a hint of irony, Obama told podcast host Alex Cooper that she wished the press focused less on what she wore and more on her education and professional background. “The top of the article would be ‘she was wearing…’” Obama lamented. “Not my education, not my professional career.” Cooper agreed with Obama, though both women seemed to forget that the interview had opened with, “Talk...

Braveheart is great entertainment, if less than perfect history. Mel Gibson plays the hero, William Wallace, who battles to deliver the Scots from the hated English, who had brutally murdered his father, brother, and wife. Wallace attracts a growing following as he begins to defeat the English in several skirmishes and battles. Following the Battle of Stirling Bridge, where his heavily outmatched and outnumbered troops defeated the English, Wallace became something of a legend and demanded that the nobility join him in the fight. The nobles, who have holdings in both Scotland and England, while not enthusiastic about English occupation,...

The state of Wyoming quietly bought $10 million in gold in December as required by a new state law. Sponsors of the law hail it as a hedge against dollar devaluation while critics say there’s no good way to cash in on gold’s increasing value. Wyoming’s historic $10 million gold purchase required by 2025 legislation has happened with little fanfare. There were no public announcements or press releases at the time. There was just a brief mention of the December purchase during a Jan. 9 Joint Appropriations Committee hearing. Rep. John Bear, R-Gillette, asked the Wyoming Treasurer’s office for an...

The culture wars are taking their toll, and the nation could suffer irreparable damage. The late Andrew Breitbart emphasized that “politics is downstream from culture,” meaning that culture shapes society’s values, which in turn determine its politics. Today, we are in the midst of a colossal culture war, with zealous radicals seeking to overturn our long-standing traditions and institutions. One ongoing struggle that has received national attention is the absurd claim that a male who decides he’s a female has a constitutional right to compete in women’s sports. At this time, 27 states have laws or policies prohibiting the gender...

It looks like a case of wiener take all. Nathan’s Famous, an iconic American hot dog maker and fast-food chain, was sold to Smithfield Inc., a Chinese-owned pork producer, in a $450 million all-cash deal. The two companies announced the merger in a statement Tuesday. Smithfield Foods will acquire all of Nathan’s Famous shares for $102 each, according to the announcement. "The Nathan’s Famous acquisition is a meaningful step in the progression of Smithfield Foods allowing us to own all of the top brands in our packaged meats portfolio," Shane Smith, Smithfield CEO and president, said in the statement. Smithfield...

Landlord who tipped off ICE about illegal alien gang members faces investigation. The ‘sanctuary’ for illegal alien criminals movement began with radical activists harboring them in ‘churches’. That escalated to ordering law enforcement not to cooperate with immigration authorities. And from there sanctuary states like California began to penalize any law enforcement personnel who cooperated with ICE. Then came the riots, systemic harassment of immigration law enforcement personnel being coordinated from the top down, and now, in the next step, legal threats against American citizens who cooperate with ICE. Remember this massive raid on a hive of TdA gang members...

Over the past couple of years, I have had several posts here expressing skepticism about whether electric vehicles (EVs) were really the wave of the future. Most recently, I had a post on December 17 noting the rapid decline of EV sales in the U.S. during the fourth quarter of 2025, following the expiration of certain tax credits on September 30. Overall, my take has been that the EV market has been propped up by government subsidies and benefits and, like all businesses dependent on government handouts, would likely shrink drastically (if not completely disappear) without them. For a different...

Surprise medical bills have bludgeoned most Americans. In fact, about half of insured Americans face unexpected charges every year. In 2020, Congress passed the No Surprises Act, which banned out-of-network billing rates for some services. It also entitled patients who aren’t using health insurance to a “good faith estimate” of out-of-pocket costs before receiving care. But there’s a catch that stacks the deck against patients and taxpayers: final bills within $400 of the original estimate are legally collectible. After stinging GOP losses in November, health care “affordability” is all the rage. Voters are frustrated that every other medical appointment brings...

"Blue Lives Matter patriots just revealed that they successfully put a brilliant plan into practice—decoying deranged leftist rioters with false information and fake federal operations, allowing federal immigration officers to arrest criminals without harassment. ---SNIP--- "We're not saying they were in fact they were just driving around in what appeared to be unmarked vehicles with tinted windows... drinking coffee and listening to Guns and Roses.... being chased down and surrounded by protestors. What we ARE saying is that if it DID happen.... it sure worked remarkably well in NINE DIFFERENT STATES, allowing ACTUAL raids to successfully take place unimpeded, helping...

'It was about making a point — that there are consequences to discriminating against Indians for their "Indianness."' A 35-year-old Indian student says he was told that curry stinks, but sandwiches do not. Aditya Prakash and his fiancée, Urmi Bhattacheryya, won a settlement of $200,000 from the University of Colorado Boulder in a story dripping with progressivism. The BBC described the ordeal as a case of "food racism" while outlet Indian Express said Prakash was the "target of racism" over his microwaved food. Ate crime The couple reportedly claimed they faced a series of "microaggressions and retaliatory actions" after a...

@RepThomasMassie After rampant fraud was uncovered at daycare centers in Minnesota and elsewhere, a judge blocked President Trump’s effort to put guardrails on those programs. I’ve offered this amendment to circumvent the judge’s ruling and empower the President to withhold fraudulent funds.

The player meets Amelia early in the story. She is introduced as a classmate and, according to the plot, is involved in political activism linked to right-wing movements. Suddenly, timelines were filled with Amelia fan art, edits, and screenshots. Rather than being seen as a ‘dangerous nationalist extremist’, as the creators intended, she became an ironic hero—a kind of mascot for resisting the very ideas the game was designed to promote.

With all that’s happening in the world, why am I writing about the video of a Karen repeatedly cackling “F off” to a cluster of duck hunters? Because it proves the broader point that leftists cannot present fact-based arguments about the issues successfully. Even the few who can choose not to because the goal isn’t to win the debate but to prosecute the violent overthrow of America. Screaming, swearing, violence, and mayhem facilitate that more than a genteel conversation in the public square. But first, a confession: I’m no prude when it comes to swearing and have been known to...

A financial group chief executive is accused of running the largest Ponzi scheme in Georgia’s history to fund a lavish lifestyle, which included purchasing a yacht, a multi-million-dollar condo in Mexico, luxury vehicles, jewelry, and chartering private jets. Todd Burkhalter, the CEO of Drive Planning LLC., pleaded guilty to defrauding over 2,000 victims for more than $380 million between September 2020 and June 2024, according to US Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg on Wednesday. “Unbelievably, Burkhalter shamelessly continued to scam his victims even while under federal investigation,” Hertzberg said. “Today’s guilty plea is just the first step in holding Burkhalter accountable...

Under Trump, the media elites treat the executive branch as an evil empire, but under Biden, journalists were so eager to help promote the Democrats that they sometimes offered their sources the ability to edit their articles to their liking. New documents shared exclusively with MRC Business just exposed the latest example of elitist media hacks violating every modicum of journalistic integrity to genuflect to the Biden administration’s whims and wishes. Forbes contributor Rhett Buttle and his associate Abdullah Kahn offered to delay a story schmoozing President Joe Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan on his “environmental justice” focus...
