A Dallas Muslim community leader will be deported after an immigration judge ruled he provided “material support” to the Holy Land Foundation, the Richardson-based charity whose leaders were convicted in a major terrorism financing case. Marwan Marouf, 54, a Jordanian national who has lived in the United States for roughly 30 years, has served as the public relations and fundraising director for the Muslim-American Society’s DFW chapter. He has been held in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody since September. The Dallas Express previously reported that ICE arrested Marouf in September and charged him with lacking a valid entry...

President Trump on Tuesday said he would prefer not to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies that are set to expire at the end of the year, but he acknowledged it may be necessary to reach an agreement on health care legislation. Trump, in response to a question from The Hill, told reporters his preference was to pass legislation that gave money directly to Americans to allow them to purchase their own health care plan. “I like my plan the best. Don’t give any money to the insurance companies, give it to the people directly. Let them buy their own health...

November 26 - The agreement reached two years ago at COP28 in Dubai seemed to signal the beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era. But the “implementation COP” that closed last Saturday in the Amazonian city of Belem in Brazil couldn’t find a route-map to make that vision a reality. For all the recognition that emissions trajectories are nowhere near in line with the ambitions of the Paris Agreement and the window to act is rapidly closing, negotiators seem divorced from the real world. Petrostates, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, stymied any language of ambition and even...

A Texas activist who has become a leading critic of Chinese-linked energy technology urged Fannin County officials this week to immediately enjoin construction on a battery energy storage facility, citing a new investigation that the Texas Attorney General claims involves components tied to the Chinese Communist Party. Nancy White, president of the Legislative Energy Action Foundation, told The Dallas Express in an email interview that Attorney General Ken Paxton’s November 24 investigation into Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. (CATL) raises direct implications for the ENGIE-owned battery facility under development near Savoy. Paxton claimed a press release that Texas “must not...

FRANCE is belatedly to make limited attempts to stop migrant dinghies at sea – after Keir Starmer privately admitted there was ‘no effective deterrent’. The astonishing admission has emerged in a leak to a French newspaper, showing the British Prime Minister has begged for action to halt the rising numbers of small boats crossing the Channel. More than 60,000 migrants have arrived in Britain via dinghy since Labour’s election last year. One of Sir Keir’s first acts was to abandon the Conservative deterrent plan of flying all small boat arrivals to Rwanda. His own policy of deporting a small proportion...

Several prominent Republicans in the MAGA world have claimed that as many as 20 million people entered the United States illegally during the Biden administration. President Donald Trump and White House officials have said the administration is now planning to review all of these cases of migrants who entered the country under the previous administration. Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to Donald Trump, said on Fox News Wednesday after two members of the National Guard were shot dead in Washington, D.C, “The breaking news tonight is saying that his government is going to accelerate efforts to review every single person...

MOULTONBOROUGH, NH — To make the most of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Richardson family reportedly instituted helpful debate rules allowing for 2-minute speeches followed by a 1-minute rebuttal. "We have to have order, people," Henry Richardson said. "No shouting over people, or you're not getting any dessert." According to sources, pre-planned debate topics for the Richardson family Thanksgiving include, but are not limited to, the American school system, January 6, and cranberry sauce. Strangely missing from the family's planned discourse is a debate on transgenderism, owing in large part to the fact that cousin Freddie's new name is Francesca. Heather...

Congressional Speech, Military Orders, and the Danger of Half-TruthsIn recent days, a group of six members of Congress created controversy by telling active-duty military personnel that they “do not have to obey illegal orders.” Their statement, while rooted in a true principle of military law, has caused confusion and concern among legal experts, Pentagon officials, and veterans. Understanding why requires looking at two separate systems: the constitutional protections granted to members of Congress, and the strict doctrine governing obedience to orders within the military.1. Constitutional Protections for Members of CongressThe U.S. Constitution grants members of Congress several key protections to...

Well, here we go kid-do’s… After the majority of Americans concluded THEIR “godless” Thanksgiving without Almighty God and ALL the realities of Who He is, which is dictated by His HOLY WORD it is “Black Friday”. America’s Thanksgiving and Holiday season now consists of thanking THEIR god’s of self narcissism, human efforts and personal ambitions, while of course eating, drinking and watching football. My friends don’t get me wrong… there is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying a fine diner with your loved ones, eating good food, stuffing yourself, watching football, exchanging gifts, rejoicing over the work of you hands and...

Our investigation shows what happens when a tribal mindset meets a bleeding-heart bureaucracy, when imported clan loyalties collide with a political class too timid to offend, and when accusations of racism are cynically deployed to shield criminal behavior. The predictable result is graft, with taxpayers left to foot the bill. Minneapolis Somalians turned out to be creative and prolific fraudsters. Their exploits are so massive that they incriminate nearly the entire diaspora in America. For instance, one shadowy figure, Asha Farhan Hassan, recruited Somalian children into faux “culturally appropriate” autism therapy programs and facilitated fraudulent diagnoses when needed. The rate...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday that his chief of staff, Andrii Yermak, who has also been their country's top negotiator in peace talks with the U.S. and Russia, has resigned, amid a corruption investigation.Yermak resigned after anti-corruption investigators searched his residence earlier in the day, according to the Associated Press. Two national agencies probing corruption in Ukraine said the searches targeted Yermak. However, a Yermak spokesman said the anti-graft agencies had not served Yermak a notice of suspicion, meaning he was not a suspect in an investigation. The spokesman also said Tkachuk has not been informed about to what...

There haven’t been many players in professional golf who became known by simply one name. Fuzzy Zoeller was one of those players. The 10-time PGA TOUR winner with the recognizable nickname and victories at the Masters Tournament and the U.S. Open on his impressive resume, died Nov. 27. He was 74. “The PGA TOUR is saddened by the passing of Fuzzy Zoeller. Fuzzy was a true original whose talent and charisma left an indelible mark on the game of golf,” said PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan. “Fuzzy combined competitive excellence with a sense of humor that endeared him to fans...

I arrived on the scene early one Saturday. The suspects were long gone, but the evidence remained. One cart was wedged into a curb, another sat toppled over in a parking spot, a third drifted like a metal tumbleweed across the lot. My question: Why don’t people return their shopping carts? I’m a psychologist who has spent the past decade studying how we think about our own behavior in relation to others. Perhaps the choice to not return a shopping cart seems trivial, but what we do with our cart says a lot about how we think about others and...

LONDON, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Workers went on strike at Amazon warehouses in Germany on Black Friday aiming to disrupt operations on a key sales day as they push for a collective bargaining agreement, with separate protests also planned outside Zara stores in Spain. Services union Verdi said around 3,000 workers were expected to participate at Amazon warehouses in Bad Hersfeld, Dortmund, Frankenthal, Graben, Koblenz, Moenchengladbach, Rheinberg, Werne, and Winsen. Amazon said the strike would have no impact on customer orders and said it paid fair wages. A spokesperson said it has around 40,000 workers at logistics centres in Germany,...

The number of new international college students in the United States has plunged by double digits, a new report by the Institute of International Education reveals — even as domestic student numbers continue to rise. Enrollment has fallen by 17 percent this fall after a shift that could cost the US an estimated $1.1 billion and eliminate 23,000 jobs nationwide, according to the analysis. The sharp decline in foreign students follows a series of Trump administration moves to tighten immigration rules, including reduced access to student visas. Schools were urged to limit the number of foreign students they admit, while...

Wisconsin officials recently announced the discovery of a trove of ancient canoes in an underwater "parking lot" of sorts — including one that predates the Pyramids of Giza. The Wisconsin Historical Society (WHS) announced this month that its experts have identified 14 canoes in Madison's Lake Mendota so far, six of which were found this spring. The WHS worked with the First Nations of Wisconsin during the research process, a release noted.

WASHINGTON (WJLA-TV) — U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi will urge prosecutors to seek the death penalty against 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal. Lakanwal, an Afghan national, was identified by federal officials as the gunman who opened fire on West Virginia National Guard members Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Andrew Wolfe, 24, on Nov. 26, 2025. Beckstrom died a day after the shooting, and Wolfe was left fighting for his life. "I will tell you right now, I will tell you early, we will do everything in our power to seek the death penalty against that monster who should not have been in our...

Daily Readings from the USCCB“Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” Luke 21:32–33As we approach the final days of this liturgical year, we continue to read about the end of the world. Today we read that both Heaven and earth, as they currently are, will pass away. This is worth pondering. We know that life is full of change. It has been said that the one thing that never changes is change itself. Everything else changes....
