By Dr. John BergsmaSome years ago I was driving through the back hills of Ohio with my son, and we passed a billboard in a farmer’s field that read: “God has a Judgment Day coming!” My son asked me if the farmer who had placed the billboard in his field was Catholic or a non-Catholic. I suggested he probably was a non-Catholic Christian. My son asked why Catholics didn’t put up billboards like that. I theorized that perhaps fewer Catholics owned farms close to the highway, or maybe they were less convinced that announcing the coming judgment was really an...

Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy.” Sosh-Lightsy‘s attorneys said in the suit filed this week that her First Amendment rights were violated. She wants a jury trial and financial compensation for damages. The former administrator’s post sparked...

VIDEOIn case there has been anyone who has lived on an island isolated from the outside world for the past ten years, they would probably have trouble understanding the deep scope of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome, as described by psychotherapist Jonathan Alter. However, with the aid of Jim Breuer translating Alpert's analysis of TDS into comedy, they would definitely have a much better understanding about the wide plague of TDS.

With President Trump threatening to sue the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) for $1 trillion for editing his January 6, 2021 speech to make it appear that he was urging his followers to "march to the Capitol and fight like hell," BBC chair Samir Shah explained "it was all an honest mistake that we should not be held accountable for." "First, let me point out that these words attributed to Trump are actual words he has said in public," Shah said. "It's not like we made them up out of thin air. Second, the meme that has been pretty universally shared...

Countries are gathering in Brazil at the COP30 summit to take stock of climate change. As in past summits, the negotiations are starting on the back foot: countries already aren't meeting their goals to cut heat-trapping emissions from burning fossil fuels. The world has barely budged in its efforts to combat climate change compared to one year ago, according to a new report from the United Nations. If countries stay on that track, the planet will warm by about 5 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the century, compared to the pre-industrial temperatures of the mid-1800s. That's slightly better than...

Would you believe that in the entirety of human history, no one has been oppressed as much as Michelle Obama? It’s true. Whenever she gets in front of a microphone, she can’t help but complain about how unfairly she’s been treated, how terrible white people are, or how racist our country is. She paints herself as chronically oppressed, endlessly scrutinized, and forever burdened by a country that never treated her fairly. I know it must not be easy having fame, fortune, a bunch of multimillion-dollar homes, and all that. It must be really, really brutal. The routine has become predictable,...

A woman in her late thirties posts a simple complaint online: “Men can have kids into their seventies. I’ve only got a few years left. That’s so unfair.” Within hours, her mentions are a war zone. Some men sneer about “geriatric eggs.” Others write manifestos about feminism and hypergamy. A few women defend her, but the thread collapses into the same argument we’ve been having for decades. In Britain, a thirty-four-year-old woman recently sued her ex-boyfriend, claiming he had “stolen her childbearing years.” After ten years together, he ended the relationship without fulfilling his promises of marriage and children. Now,...

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security tweeted Friday afternoon that he has now been deported. The tweet did not say whether he was transported back to his native Mexico or some other destination. The Associated Press sent an email message to his attorney, Martin Pruhs, seeking more details but he did not immediately respond. Flores-Ruiz is at the center of a case...

It has been almost 20 years since Shelby Steele published the best-known of his five books on race, “White Guilt: How Blacks and Whites Together Destroyed the Promise of the Civil Rights Era.” A lot has happened since. In 2006 “we hadn’t had President Obama, Ferguson, Trump, George Floyd, DEI, Black Lives Matter, President Biden,” Mr. Steele says. “We also hadn’t had Oct. 7.” Mr. Steele, 79, is one of America’s foremost black conservative thinkers, recently retired as a senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. He is still hard at work, on a film made by his son, Eli Steele,...

The right’s warnings about Obamacare proved prescient, yet Democrats keep doubling down on a failing system they refuse to admit they broke. Just over 15 years ago, when the Democrat-controlled House and the Democrat-controlled Senate were debating the healthcare proposals offered by the Democrat president, nearly everyone on the political right was unified in opposition. It may well have been the last time the right was united on anything, but it was indeed unified and resolute. Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann (MN) warned that “This monstrosity of a bill will not only destroy the private healthcare market, it will lead to massive...
