The comet has just gone through perihelion, the closest approach to the Sun, but unfortunately, it is on the opposite side of our star....

When you use skin color and chromosomes as criteria for filling positions of trust, as opposed to filling those positions with the best people regardless of skin color or chromosomes, you will not, unless by accident, get the best people for the job. No public figure in recent memory exemplifies this maxim more than Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. But that does not even tell half of the story. According to The New York Times, Jackson has found herself increasingly at odds not only with SCOTUS’ nominally conservative majority, but also with her fellow liberals, Justices Elena Kagan and...

National broadcasters dedicated zero air time to informing the public about the FBI’s “Arctic Frost” scandal, a sprawling surveillance operation after Jan. 6 that probed more than 150 Republican lawmakers and entities close to President Donald Trump. According to analysis by media watchdog group NewsBusters, while documents continue to reveal Operation Arctic Frost ensnared more and more GOP legislators, major networks ABC, CBS and NBC over the past week have thus far failed to report on the bombshell developments. NewsBusters’ Curtis Houck highlighted the networks’ lack of coverage, noting Fox News’ Brett Baier did the story justice. However, even after...

Distressing footage showed a female migrant scream 'help me, I have my papers' as she was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at Salt Lake City airport. Marta Brizeyda Renderos Leiva, 39, was dragged away by plainclothes agents at the Utah travel hub on Wednesday. Footage emerged of her arrest, with Leiva seen being grabbed her by the arms as she was placed in cuffs, pulling her up from the floor as she kicked out her legs and stamped her feet. She let out bloodcurdling cries as they did, saying: 'Help me, help me, I have my papers. Help...

Explanation: Blown by fast winds from a hot, massive star, this cosmic bubble is huge. Cataloged as Sharpless 2-308 it lies some 5,200 light-years away toward the constellation of the Big Dog (Canis Major) and covers slightly more of the sky than a Full Moon. That corresponds to a diameter of 60 light-years at its estimated distance. The massive star that created the bubble, a Wolf-Rayet star, is the bright one near the center of the nebula. Wolf-Rayet stars have over 20 times the mass of the Sun and are thought to be in a brief, pre-supernova phase of massive...

A federal judge in Rhode Island has temporarily ordered the Trump administration to continue funding benefits for SNAP, the federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. "The court is orally at this time, ordering that USDA must distribute the contingency money timely, or as soon as possible, for the November 1 payments to be made," said U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell Jr.

Check this out: That's a video posted by "Ella Mae" over on TikTok. Her followers thought it was funny. Other very "tolerant" people decided to dress as the ghost of Charlie Kirk, mocking his public assassination in front of his wife and children with a .30-06 round to the neck. This woman in Los Angeles even wore her costume to the gym because she was so proud of it. Next, there's this very inclusive and kind young man, reportedly from Maine, who couldn't help but smile as he showed the world his mockery of a murdered husband and father. He...

More than 300 piles of cremated human remains have been found scattered across the Nevada desert. A man discovered them near the remote town of Searchlight, about an hour outside Las Vegas, on July 28. A team from Palm Mortuaries and Cemeteries arrived at the scene on Wednesday to remove the piles. They found about 315 sets of ashes and placed them each in individual urns. It comes after officials launched an initial investigation which confirmed in August that the mounds were human, 8 News Now reported. However, no traceable information could be salvaged from the 'cremains' - a term...

AOC and Mamdani the Commie are ascendant in the leftist cold civil war because the sane have been silenced by fear. It can be quite amusing and disturbing at the same time when someone who has lost the plot openly states that "... we are not the crazy ones. They want us to think we are crazy. We are sane." But there she was the other night, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez herself, making that claim. Because it's the same as someone claiming he is patriotic – if you have to speak up and say it, no one believes you are. The...

To return Americans to the Moon, SpaceX aligned Starship development along two paths: development of the core Starship system and supporting infrastructure, including production facilities, test facilities, and launch sites -- which SpaceX is self-funding representing over 90% of system costs -- and development of the HLS-specific Starship configuration, which leverages and modifies the core vehicle capability to support NASA's requirements for landing crew on and returning them from the Moon. SpaceX is working under a fixed-price contract with NASA, ensuring that the company is only paid after the successful completion of progress milestones, and American taxpayers are not on...

A pair of greedy sisters were filmed attacking supermarket staff and hurling racist slurs while allegedly stealing lobster, steaks and truffle butter. Olivia L. Byrd, 37, and Rahjane J. Byrd, 28, were caught on camera swinging at employees inside a Market Basket in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, last weekend. Wild footage captured inside the store caught the moment the two violently punched an employee and hurled bags at them while shouting their heads off. One of the sisters was seen clobbering a worker in the head, while the other charged at another employee, swinging a blue bag at them. As the...

[Catholic Caucus] Morocco cardinal: ‘We must abandon the false paradigm of true religion, false religion’CWN Editor's Note: In a reflection for the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the archbishop of Rabat, Morocco, said that “we must abandon the false paradigm of ‘true religion, false religion.’” “Religions, for their part, have the responsibility to offer paths of meaning and truth, not of domination,” said Spanish-born Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, SDB. “No religion can appropriate the truth, as if it were its sole owner. No one possesses the truth; if anything, it is the truth that possesses us all, and in every...

Once communism kicks in, there's no way out. Sure, communism has always failed and will ultimately fail in New York City, but one should expect early “funded” success. The market factors that trigger capital flight take time. Wealthy people and corporations take time to relocate to more tax-friendly environments. It takes time to sell whatever real estate assets one may possess in “the City.” With increased supply and a depressed forecast for investment, many will either hold their asset(s) or take the loss. Either option delays the inevitable. The DNC, globalists, and Zohran Mamdani’s Muslim, and sadly, Jewish, backers will...

The Trump Administration has made the decision to attack military installations inside Venezuela and the strikes could come at any moment, sources with knowledge of the situation told the Miami Herald, as the U.S. prepares to initiate the next stage of its campaign against the Soles drug cartel. The planned attacks, also reported by the Wall Street Journal, will seek to destroy military installations used by the drug-trafficking organization the U.S. says is headed by Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro and run by top members of his regime. Sources told the Herald that the targets — which could be struck by...

The Justice Department is probing whether Black Lives Matter (BLM) defrauded donors who sent the organization millions of dollars during the racial justice protests in 2020, the Associated Press is reporting. Federal law enforcement authorities have issued subpoenas and served a search warrant as part of an investigation into the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. that helped ignite protests in U.S. cities following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May 2020, anonymous sources told the wire service. Protests in some locations resulted in deaths, rioting, looting, fires, and extensive property destruction. According to AP: It was...

A meteorite discovered in Northwest Africa... Scientists say this ancient rock -- formed more than 4.56 billion years ago -- proves that planet-building processes in the outer reaches of the solar system began just as quickly as they did closer to the Sun.In a study published in Communications Earth & Environment, researchers analyzed a rare meteorite known as Northwest Africa (NWA) 12264, revealing that the body it originated from -- a fully formed protoplanet beyond Jupiter -- was already active during the very dawn of the Solar System. The findings challenge the prevailing assumption that outer Solar System planets formed more...

Leading 20th century Roman Catholic theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar contended that Protestantism had no place for beauty in its theology. “Contemporary Protestant theology nowhere deals with the beautiful as a theological category,” he wrote. “For the time being, the only question posed by Protestants is that concerning the relationship between revelation and this-worldly beauty—certainly a justified question, but not a sufficient one.” Dutch Reformed theological heavyweight Herman Bavinck seems to provide evidence of von Balthasar’s charge. Bavinck wrote, “It is not advisable to speak—with the church fathers, scholastics, and Catholic theologians—of God’s beauty.” Bavinck beautifully summarizes Augustine’s view that...

Dear Friend, Earlier this week, I led a group of governors in a letter calling on the White House to prevent disruption of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during the federal government shutdown. SNAP is more than just a food assistance program, it’s a lifeline. Forty-two million Americans, including 16 million children and 8 million seniors, rely on SNAP to buy groceries so they can feed themselves and their families. SNAP also supports local farmers and grocers and strengthens our communities and economy. Earlier this month, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) instructed states to stop processing SNAP benefits...
