Can anybody imagine a teacher showing students as young as 10 the video of Charlie Kirk being murdered by a gunshot to the neck? The Toronto District School Board is investigating an allegation of this happening at a Scarborough elementary school. First, a University of Toronto professor was sent home for an X post that appeared after the shooting suggesting shooting is “too good” for fascists, and now the TDSB has done the same with a teacher who allegedly showed a Grade 5 and 6 class Kirk’s assassination in Utah. The Corvette Junior Public School teacher was not in class...

Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter Tyler Robinson was living with a transgender partner who was in the process of transitioning from a male to a female, a law enforcement source confirmed to The Post Saturday. That individual, who has yet to be identified by the authorities, is now fully cooperating with the FBI on its investigation into the fatal shooting of the conservative activist, the source added. The relationship was first reported by Fox News’ Brooke Singman. Text messages and other communications that the transgender individual traded with Robinson, 22, helped the feds nab the accused assassin. Federal and state authorities...

“I knew him. I knew Charlie, the real Charlie. Charlie knew the real Candace… Of course, people guessed it correctly when they said, Oh, the person who probably was the intermediary when Trump called about Brigitte was Charlie Kirk. Of course, it was Charlie. They would never send anybody else to call me with anything because they knew that Charlie was a brother to me…” “There is no Candace without Charlie. We came up in politics together, and so I don't know what else to say, guys, other than a lot of pain right now. I love you, Charlie.”

Greek City Times reports that archaeologists renewed excavations at Mieza in northern Greece, a site connected with the famous Greek philosopher Aristotle. According to Greek historians, it was in the ancient Macedonian city that Aristotle tutored the young Alexander the Great between 343 and 340 b.c. Recent work there centered on investigation and conservation of the monumental gymnasium, a space dedicated to both physical and intellectual training. New dating confirmed that it was built around the middle of the fourth century b.c., strengthening the site's ties to Aristotle, Alexander, and his father Phillip II. The enormous complex was planned and...

The Day the Lone Wolf Myth DiedIn the valley below my house, the coyotes call at night. Except, they aren’t just coyotes anymore, they’re hybrids, part wolf, part coyote, something harder to categorize and harder to fight. You rarely see the whole pack at once. More often, you hear them, a scatter of calls, laughter that isn’t quite laughter, an echo that makes you realize you are surrounded without ever seeing the circle close. That’s how it feels watching society now. A few flashes here and there, a stray comment from a leader, a celebration of someone’s death online, an act...

Charlie Kirk was a devoted follower of Christ, a dedicated father and husband, and a tireless patriot who gave everything he had to preserve the principles that make America great. He possessed a sharp ability to engage in respectful dialogue, discussing our nation's pressing topics civilly and openly with everyone, including those with whom he disagreed. His unwavering commitment to faith, family, and freedom inspired millions, and his absence will be deeply felt across this nation. All of us at the American Cornerstone Institute (ACI) are heartbroken over the tragic passing of our dear friend and partner, Charlie Kirk. ACI...

They went there--(Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen) German Public TV, subsidized by government-mandated license fees, is arguing that Charlie Kirk enraged people because he was a racist misogynist who hit people's rage buttons. Advertisement Of course, they say it is unacceptable to celebrate Kirk's murder, but, well, you know he deserved it... These people are scum. Similarly, The New York Times spread a hoax about Kirk--that he held certain views that he quoted and then criticized. They, of course, released a correction well after the fact, and one that almost nobody will see.

Shortly after being sworn in, EPA head Lee Zeldin said the Biden Administration "weaponized" energy efficiency rules in a post announcing an overhaul of the WaterSense Program. Do energy-efficient appliances save consumers money? They do not. Back in 1987, the Reagan administration signed the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act, and control of all household appliances, from dishwashers to shower heads, was put under federal control. In 1992, Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, which gave big companies like Whirlpool major tax breaks for following the rules. This led to smaller appliance companies going out of business, driving up prices, and...

The State Department will be monitoring the words of foreign nationals who "glorify violence" after the Charlie Kirk shooting and take "appropriate action." "In light of yesterday’s horrific assassination of a leading political figure, I want to underscore that foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country," Deputy Secretary of State Chris Landau wrote on X. "I have been disgusted to see some on social media praising, rationalizing, or making light of the event, and have directed our consular officials to undertake appropriate action. Please feel free to bring such comments by foreigners to my...

Targeting high-normal potassium levels reduced the risk of arrhythmias, hospitalization for heart failure or arrhythmia and death compared with no intervention, according to late-breaking research. Doctor Christian Jons: "We conducted the POTCAST trial to assess the benefits and risks of targeting high-normal potassium levels in patients at high risk of ventricular arrhythmias with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)." Eligible participants had an ICD or cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator and had a baseline plasma potassium ≤4.3 mmol/L. Participants were randomized 1:1 to a treatment regimen aiming at increasing plasma potassium level to 4.5−5.0 mmol/L, using dietary guidance, potassium supplements and/or mineralocorticoid...

Ca' Foscari University of Venice announced that when an international team of researchers first began to analyze 34,000-year-old stone tools found in the Dzudzuana Cave in the foothills of Georgia's Caucasus, they were just hoping to learn something about how they were used. However, as they peered closer, they uncovered incredible evidence of human behavior and complexity dating back tens of thousands of years. The pebble grinding tools contained traces of plant matter and indigotin, the deep blue compound also known as indigo. The results were stunning -- not only was this the first time that indigo has been found...

President Donald Trump suggested on Friday his administration will pursue federal charges against billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, part of a long history of threatening his political opponents with criminal proceedings. “We’re going to look into Soros,” Trump said on “Fox & Friends,” “because I think it’s a RICO case against him and other people.” “Because this is more than like protests,” Trump added. “This is real agitation. This is riots on the street. And we’re going to look into it.” Trump previously floated charging Soros and his son under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act in August on...

Global climate models are software behemoths, often containing more than a million lines of code. Inevitably, such complex models will contain mistakes, or "bugs." But because model outputs are widely used to inform climate policy, it's important that they generate trustworthy results. Ulrike Proske and Lieke Melsen set out to understand how climate modelers think about, identify, and address bugs. They interviewed 11 scientists and scientific programmers from the Max-Planck-Institut für Meteorologie who work on the ICON climate model for their study published in Earth's Future. When new code is developed for ICON, it's screened and tested to catch bugs...

Chagas disease, a potentially deadly condition caused by an infected triatomine insect or "kissing bug," may be becoming endemic in the United States, according to a new report published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. U.S. "Autochthonous (or, locally acquired) human cases have been reported in 8 states, most notably in Texas. Labeling the United States as non-Chagas disease-endemic perpetuates low awareness and underreporting," the report noted, adding the insect has been reported in 32 states. Other states with human cases include California, Arizona, Tennessee, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi and Arkansas.

Prior to Charlie Kirk's murder at the hands of a political fanatic, 23 year-old Iryna Zarutska was stabbed to death on a light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina by a dangerous lunatic named Decarlos Brown Jr. Brown had been previously arrested 14 times over the past decade for crimes including assault and robbery. In January of this year he was again arrested. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia and advised to seek psychiatric care. Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes authorized the release of Brown based solely on his written promise to appear for a future court date. While he was free...

As editors and reporters in the Chicago Sun-Times/WBEZ newsroom geared up for President Trump’s proclamation earlier this month that he intended to send the National Guard to Chicago, we asked ourselves: How could we possibly cover the deployment of troops and more ICE agents if the operation was large and dispersed? One avenue? Engage the public. (As we published this story, Trump announced that he would be sending the National Guard to Memphis instead. The administration’s anti-immigration operation in Chicago continues.) So interactive developer Andjela Padejski and Chicago Public Media’s AI fellow Mark Chonofsky got to work on a...

New York Times columnist Ezra Klein appears to have been angrily canceled by many of his fellow leftists and Democrats. His thought crime? He expressed sympathy for Charlie Kirk in the wake of his brutal assassination. The very title of his Thursday opinion piece acted like red meat to the increasingly deranged left: "Charlie Kirk Was Practicing Politics the Right Way." And if this did not inflame the haters enough, some of Klein's words sent them over the intolerant edge:
