“Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as He walked, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God!’ The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus” (John 1:35–37). John looked at Jesus as He walked nearby, and repeated to his disciples what he had proclaimed to the crowds on the previous day: “Behold, the Lamb of God!” Having heard their teacher speak again those powerful words, the two disciples followed Jesus. John’s willingness to unhesitatingly hand them over to Him is further evidence of his self-effacing humility and complete...

TThe FBI and local law enforcement have a storied history of killer manhunts that proves the timetable for arrests are often unpredictable. It took five days to capture Luigi Mangione after he gunned down United Health Care's CEO outside a Manhattan hotel, and about the same time to apprehend the Tsarnaev brothers after the Boston Marathon bombing. Unabomber Ted Kaczynski roamed free for 17 years and 314 days before his capture in 1996, while Centennial Park bomber Eric Rudolph was arrested six years and 10 months after detonating a bomb that marred the 1996 Summer Olympics just a few months...

The conflict itself would likely play out in several phases. The opening week would be defined by missile barrages aimed at Taiwan’s defenses and US forward bases, along with cyber and space attacks to blind command networks. Taiwan’s dispersal plans and mobile launchers would mitigate, but not eliminate, the damage. The next phase would be the battle for sea denial. Submarines, mines, and long-range anti-ship weapons would be hurled against convoys carrying PLA troops and supplies across the Strait. Geography favors the defenders, but China’s proximity and numerical advantage mean some ships would get through. The outcome of this battle...

U.S. — In the days following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, universities across the country were quietly canceling their "Kill Conservatives 101" classes. Sources said these classes had been put on hold until they could be renamed and rebranded for the spring 2026 semester. "We figured these classes might be frowned upon by some people, considering the circumstances," said gender studies professor Professor Xindi Mavis (she/them) of Utah Valley University. "We invite our students to enroll in some of our alternative classes, such as Communist Liberation 101 and Trans Furry Culture 101." Some conservatives believed the prevalence of official university...

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus said to his disciples: “A good tree does not bear rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not pick figs from thornbushes, nor do they gather grapes from brambles.” Luke 6:43–44What a great way to examine the direction of your life! This Gospel passage gets to the heart of how we can best discern whether or not we are truly fulfilling the will of God. Oftentimes we may struggle with knowing clearly if we are doing that which God wants...
