Two of the radio and television shows that I was on yesterday were hosted by liberals. In each case, they asked what I thought *we* can do to reduce political violence. For starters, I said, you can stop calling everyone you disagree with Adolf Hitler. They didn’t seem to think that was a good idea. Which raises the question: Why do liberal politicians, talking heads and social media influencers relentlessly liken Donald Trump to Hitler? In every relevant way, Trump is the exact opposite of Hitler. Hitler invaded Poland, France, Belgium, Russia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Yugoslavia, Greece, and no...

Tyler Robinson "had become more political in recent years," Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said a family member of his told investigators, hinting at a possible motive in Charlie Kirk's killing. Recently, and before the shooting Wednesday, the 22-year-old Utah local came to dinner and was talking with another family member about how Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU. The TWO "talked about why THEY didn't like him and the viewpoints that he [Kirk] had," Cox said in a press conference Friday morning. Kirk was "full of hate and spreading hate," THE FAMILY MEMBER told investigators, according to the governor.

Sub-titled, “Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” Kirk’s book addresses the historical significance of the Biblical day of rest, and offers an argument into why it’s more important than ever to observe it. In a brief description online, the conservative author and outspoken Christian positions the Sabbath as a “radical act of resistance” in a society “dominated by screens and constant noise.” As the book title suggests, “Stop in the Name of God” aims to show readers how “honoring the Sabbath restores balance, reduces anxiety, and nourishes your soul.” Kirk’s upcoming book is available for pre-order now on...

Recent research into the famous wreck of the Danish-Norwegian ship Gribshunden has revealed new details about the artillery and armament of medieval seagoing vessels, according to a statement released by Lund University. Gribshunden was built in the 1480s and became the royal flagship of King Hans of Denmark and Norway. The monarch used the vessel much like a floating castle and personally sailed on it frequently -- not only for exploration but to solidify his grasp of his kingdom. The ship mysteriously sank in 1495 off the coast of Ronneby, Sweden. It is often considered the best-preserved wreck from the...

Daily Readings from the USCCB“Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?” Luke 6:41Saint Teresa of Ávila, one of the greatest spiritual writers and doctors of the Church, explains in her spiritual masterpiece “Interior Castles,” that one of the first steps on the path to holiness is self-knowledge. Self-knowledge produces humility, because humility is simply having a true opinion about yourself. When a person fails to know themself from the true perspective of the mind of God, then they open themselves up to many errors of judgment. One...

The assassination of Charlie Kirk was unlike anything any of us on the Issues & Insights editorial board have seen in our lifetimes. Kirk didn’t hold any political power. He wasn’t rich. He didn’t call for or incite violence. He was a young man of strong beliefs who enjoyed debating other young people on the big issues of the day. And for that, he was brutally murdered. You’d think this would cause even his fiercest critics to stop for a moment and take stock in what just happened. If only out of consideration for his wife and two young children....

VIDEONepo Baby Jack Kennedy Schlossberg has accomplished NOTHING in his life except act like a complete FOOL in public. In the latter category was his jealous obsession with the late great Charlie Kirk. Why the obsession? It was a reflection of his jealousy of someone younger than him who on his own, without a famous family, had accomplished great things. And now Nepo Baby Jack wants to run for Congress. Too bad for him he has a long pathetic video record of himself online including his jealousy of a man of true greatness---Charlie Kirk.

“What does it mean,” the Manhattan Institute’s Tal Fortgang wrote in City Journal on Monday, “when a sitting member of Congress speaks at a conference attended by hundreds of terrorism sympathizers?” This was not simply a hypothetical question. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Ramallah) recently spoke at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, and her words were so hateful, so incendiary, and so firmly aligned with the cause of enemies of the United States, that they give Fortgang’s a particular urgency, and lead to another question: if a sitting member of Congress hates America, should she be serving in Congress at...

Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson was “full of hate” in the days before the shooting, according to a family friend, as authorities revealed the 22-year-old had confessed to the assassination and had been turned in by a relative. Bullets found in the chamber of the rifle reportedly used by Robinson included apparent left-wing slogans such as “Hey fascist! Catch!” and another referencing “Oh, Bella Ciao!” a popular Italian anti-fascist song.

More than 300 South Korean workers detained in an immigration raid in the United States last week were brought back home on a charter plane and reunited with their loved ones on Friday. They were among about 475 people detained during the Sept. 4 immigration raid at a battery factory under construction on the campus of Hyundai’s sprawling auto plant west of Savannah. Their roundup and the US release of video showing some Korean workers shackled with chains around their hands, ankles and waists have caused public outrage and a sense of betrayal in South Korea, a key US ally....

They want to justify killing you. No really, it's as simple as that. Yes, that is mega-successful horror author Stephen King saying that Charlie Kirk "advocated stoning gays to death" as justification for his murder. His post was so outrageous that sitting members of Congress called publicly for a lawsuit over the statement. What King did is frame an ideological opponent as the most extreme example of a straw man. Either unknowingly or purposely, he lied about who Kirk is in order to better justify the shedding of blood. If this was not the case, then woke men like Stephen...

A Utah Valley University student told CNN on Thursday night he saw a man walking on or near the roof of the Losee Center twice in the last two weeks. ... The student said he last saw the person on the roof last Wednesday at noon, a week before the shooting. He told CNN that he reported his observations to the FBI tipline after the shooting, but has not heard back. The student described the man as a “tall, skinny-ish white dude [who] had dark hair. He had this backpack on and was wearing dark clothes.” He added that the...

The following letter was sent to all Comcast NBCUniversal employees on Friday, September 12, 2025. Dear Comcast NBCUniversal Team, The tragic loss of Charlie Kirk, a 31-year-old father, husband, and advocate for open debate, whose faith was important to him, reminds us of the fragility of life and the urgent need for unity in our nation. Our hearts are heavy, as his passing leaves a grieving family and a country grappling with division. There is no place for violence or hate in our society. You may have seen that MSNBC recently ended its association with a contributor who made an...

Higher education once stood for rigor, accountability, and personal responsibility. But grade inflation and diluted curricula have already eroded the pretense of academic excellence. Now, a new initiative at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), titled the “Ecological Validation Model for Student Success,” threatens to finish the job. Disguised as inclusion, the model abandons rigor, absolves certain students of responsibility, and replaces objective standards with politicized discretion. What’s unfolding at UNK is not an isolated case—it’s a warning sign of a deeper crisis spreading across American universities. Billed as a “campus-wide approach to student success” in which “every staff...

President Donald Trump has offered the 300 South Koreans rounded up and detained during an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid in Georgia the opportunity to stay in the U.S. "Each person was allowed to choose, and the U.S. government said essentially, ‘If you want to go, you may go; if you want to stay, you may stay,’" South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said at a news conference Thursday, adding that one person had chosen to stay. The offer marks a turnaround from the raid last week, when Trump urged foreign companies to "please respect our nation’s immigration laws" and...
