Trump announced Monday that he plans to open the floodgates to another 600,000 Chinese college students, though it’s unclear when. There are currently around 270,000 Chinese students enrolled in US universities. “I hear so many stories that we’re not going to allow their students,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “We’re going to allow their students to come in. Ancient Chinese written documents record that by the second century a.d., a vast trade network had already been established connecting peoples and goods from the Mediterranean, the Near East, India, and Asia. This has been confirmed by archaeological excavations throughout Southeast Asia, which have uncovered various items such as Indian jewelry, Roman glass, and Persian pottery. According to a Science News Today report, however, a comprehensive new study has revealed that silver coinage may be the key to truly understanding just how interconnected these distant regions actually were. Found at many archaeological sites across this region, the coins feature a...

Australian intelligence agencies have discovered the Iranian Government directed at least two anti-Semitic attacks in Australia. Anthony Albanese on Tuesday said the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation had established the Iranian government was behind an October 20 attack on Bondi’s Lewis’ Continental Kitchen, and the December 6 fire bombing of the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne. The Australian government pulled its diplomats from Tehran and has moved to expel Iran’s ambassador to Australia. “ASIO assesses it is likely Iran directed further attacks as well,” the Prime Minister said. “I can also announce the government will legislate to list Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary...

President Biden's nominee for governor of the Federal Reserve has said repeatedly that she supports reparations, the controversial proposed policy of financial compensation for Black Americans as a form of atonement for slavery and discrimination. "Everybody benefited from slavery. Everybody," Lisa Cook, a Michigan State University professor, said in a September 2020 "EconTalk" podcast. "So, I think that we absolutely need some sort of reckoning with that. There are many proposals on the table to study the possibility of reparations, many economic proposals being put forward, and I think they should all be taken seriously." Biden said during the 2020...

In a statement shared Monday amid the backlash, Cracker Barrel vowed to be 'a place where everyone feels at home, no matter where you're from or where you're headed. 'What has not changed, and what will never change, are the values this company was built on when Cracker Barrel first opened in 1969: hard work, family, and...

It turns out there is a certain breed of men who continue to cheat on their loved ones — and it has to do with either the type of job they have or the lack thereof. According to a new study conducted by the Institute for Family Studies in a blog post, men in high-power positions — like CEOs, surgeons and physicians — and those unemployed are more likely to cheat than their counterparts. Writer Wendy Wang studied occupational data from the General Social Survey (GSS) to conclude that 18% of men in these top positions have been unfaithful in...

Just days into his federal takeover of Washington’s police force, President Trump declared the problem solved. “D.C. was a hellhole and now it’s safe,” he said. On Monday, he said he expected the same results in Chicago, the next city on his list for a federal crackdown on crime. “We will solve Chicago within one week, maybe less, but within one week, we will have no crime in Chicago,” Trump told reporters on Monday. Mr. Trump’s bold (and misleading) pronouncements expose a key strategy behind his tough-on-crime swagger. For the president, the idea of sending federal forces into American cities...
