Despite a looming thunderstorm, a large crowd formed in Wilton Manors on the Wilton Bridge in response to the state’s recent order to remove painted crosswalks.
It was the second of two demonstrations Monday evening with a simple message: they will not erase us.
Around 50 people were seen chanting together along Sebastian Street in Fort Lauderdale Beach for the first gathering.

The important thing I see here is that the powers that be are suddenly and surprisingly fighting the alphabet insanity. That means the insanity is on its last legs. Glory halleluiah!
The fact the fight is happening at all indicates that government recognizes that woke is insignificant and, on its way, out. Instead of bending over to extremists the powers that be realize they have the backing of the overall culture.
Next up, get rid of dangerous immigrants who will never integrate into Western culture and are only here to destroy it.
You give them an inch and they take the crosswalks. Do we not have rules and specifications on where and how crosswalks are designed and place by state regs? If not, then they can take over yellow and white street lines and make them sparkly unicorn farts and red lights can be purple.
