It’s frightening enough to see full-blown totalitarianism return in Germany, but worse is knowing that it’s happening across the West, including in America. Germany’s Bundestag police commissioner, Uli Grötsch, is trying his best to rid his police force of members of the conservative Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Grötsch, himself a member of the left-leaning Social Democratic Party (SPD), is tasked with overseeing police misconduct, but instead is using his position specifically to target supporters of the AfD to disqualify them from serving in law enforcement. Speaking to the Rheinische Post, Grötsch flatly stated: “AfD membership and work as a...

KEY POINTS Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune each emit more energy than they receive from the Sun, meaning they have comparatively warm interiors. NASA’s Uranus flyby with Voyager 2 in 1986 found the planet colder than expected, which challenged ideas of how planets formed and evolved. However, with advanced computer modeling and a new look at old data, scientists think the planet may actually be warmer than previously expected. ==================================================================== For millennia, astronomers thought Uranus was no more than a distant star. It wasn’t until the late 18th century that Uranus was universally accepted as a planet. To this day, the...

The House of Representatives has so far voted to codify 50 of President Donald Trump's executive actions, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La. "The American people gave President Trump a clear mandate to enact his America First agenda — and House Republicans are answering that call. To date, we've voted to codify 50 of the President's executive orders into law, from reining in waste, fraud, and abuse to cutting bureaucratic red tape that has strangled America's innovators, job creators, and entrepreneurs," Johnson said in a press release. "The last four years under [former] President Joe Biden made painfully clear...

A sad day for all the kids at this Tallahassee location who had to witness their hero, Chuck, taken away by police -- and especially for the birthday boy or girl who was celebrating inside the joint at the time of the arrest. As far as who the guy was and his crime, it looks like we got Jermell J. Jones, who allegedly stole a credit card, used it fraudulently, and also used personal identification information criminally. He was booked and released on a $1,000 bond Thursday.

In a 6-3 ruling late last month, Justice Amy Coney Barrett minced no words when it came to so-called “universal injunctions,” lower-court rulings that extended far beyond that court’s jurisdiction. “It is unnecessary to consider whether Congress has constrained the Judiciary; what matters is how the Judiciary may constrain the Executive,” Barrett wrote in the decision. “That goes for judges, too,” Barrett added. “When a court concludes that the Executive Branch has acted unlawfully, the answer is not for the court to exceed its power, too.” That decision, by the way, did not decide the merits of the case in...

John Durham spent 4 years and $10 million investigating the phony Russian collusion hoax, and all he found was one low-level FBI attorney changing an email for a warrant. In less than 6 months, Tulsi Gabbard has uncovered a conspiracy to overturn the 2016 election by Obama.

NEW YORK, NY — Mere days after CBS announced that it would be discontinuing The Late Show, a disheveled Stephen Colbert was seen on a Manhattan street corner holding up a cardboard sign that read "Will yell about Trump for cash." Witnesses reported seeing the soon-to-be-former late-night talk show host sporting a rumpled suit and unkempt hair as he waved his makeshift placard at anyone who passed by and shouted at them that he would be more than happy to go on angry tirades about the president in return for money or food. "I can rant about Trump as much...

GREENVILLE, DE — Former President Joe Biden expressed great interest and enthusiasm in his upcoming memoir, adding that he's quite eager to see what the autopen comes up with for it. "That autopen and I go way back, fat," Biden said. "It's always coming up with something creative. I'm on the edge of my seat with... with... on the... I'm... it'll be something." Biden's auto-penned memoir was reportedly sold to Hachette Book Group, a New York-based publisher, for $10 million. A sizable sum, but less than Obama earned for his twenty memoirs, presumably because Obama actually wrote it himself. "To...

Explanation: Every 15 years or so, Saturn's rings are tilted edge-on to our line of sight. As the bright, beautiful ring system grows narrower and fainter it becomes increasingly difficult to see for denizens of planet Earth. But it does provide the opportunity to watch transits of Saturn's moons and their dark shadows across the ringed gas giant's still bright disk. Of course Saturn's largest moon Titan is the easiest to spot in transit. In this telescopic snapshot from July 18, Titan itself is at the upper left, casting a round dark shadow on Saturn's banded cloudtops above the narrow...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing the first major protest across Ukraine since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war — over Zelensky’s suspicious push to dismantle anti-corruption watchdog agencies. Large crowds of protesters gathered in Kyiv on Thursday, along with the city of Lviv and smaller groups in Dnipro and Odesa, to protest a recently passed bill. On Tuesday, Zelenskyy enacted a contentious piece of legislation, recently approved by parliament, which places the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and its counterpart, the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), under the direct authority of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO). The anti-corruption watchdog agencies...
