David Paterson was the governor of New York from 2008 to 2010, when he was succeeded by Andrew Cuomo as the Democrats’ one-party rule of the state continued drearily on. Yet although he is another New York Democrat, Paterson is not thrilled with Zohran Mamdani, his fellow Democrat who stands on the brink of becoming the next mayor of New York City. -SNIP- ... In his second term thus far, Trump has defied his critics with several major international wins, and he’s relished the results. His green light for the June 22 US strikes on Iranian nuclear-related targets was a stunning interpretation of what defines “America first.” At the NATO Summit in The Hague days later, he pivoted from years of lambasting European partners to securing a historic agreement to lift Alliance-wide defense and defense-related spending to 5 percent of gross domestic product by 2035, while reaffirming shared security guarantees. Both the Iran and NATO moves are legacy-defining, peace-through-strength actions. They could...

The most noteworthy case stemmed from an investigation into a Dungeness crab trafficking ring that led officials to discover that their lead suspect was also poaching salmon from the American River. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was found with over 150 pounds of salmon roe meant for the black market. I [the Twitchy writer] should probably warn you all now, from here on out, I will be beating the drums and sounding the alarm about the upcoming elections here in Virginia this coming November. Virginia is unique in that we run in odd years, and our governors can only serve one term at a time. So, while I'd love to see another four years from Youngkin, he cannot run this time around. Luckily, we have Winsome Earle-Sears as our nominee, who has played an integral part in Youngkin's successes here in the Sic Semper Tyrannis state. And the fact that not...
