Since Planned Parenthood opened its first abortion center in New York in 1970, a cultural shift has sidelined fathers, eroding the family unit. The mantra “my body, my choice” promised women autonomy but often left men stripped of responsibility or voice in the life-or-death decisions for their unborn children. This narrative, championed by groups like the National Organization for Women, has framed men as irrelevant, accelerating a societal drift toward fatherlessness. In 1970, 75% of black children grew up in two-parent households. By 2011, that figure plummeted to 28%, according to U.S. Census data. The consequences are stark: crime rates...

As President Donald Trump privately mulled joining Israel’s campaign against Iran this month, one member of his Cabinet sent what he viewed as an audacious attempt to steer him in the opposite direction. At 5:30 a.m. on June 10, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard tweeted a cryptic, three-minute video warning that “political elite and warmongers” are “carelessly fomenting fear and tensions between nuclear powers” — and that the world is “on the brink of nuclear annihilation.” Trump saw the unauthorized video and became incensed, complaining to associates at the White House that she had spoken out of turn, according...

Heartbeat International, which manages the APRN, reported that the latest milestone was reached more quickly than previous ones, reflecting both increased demand and rising awareness of the reversal protocol. In recent months, inquiries from women seeking to reverse chemical abortions have risen by more than 20%, the organization said. “Milestones like this are important as we see chemical abortion exploding across the US,” president of Heartbeat International Jor-El Godsey said. A DePaul University student organization with ties to Planned Parenthood says it was told earlier in June by school officials to disband, end its operations, and cancel its events. Planned Parenthood Generation Action DePaul University (PPGenAction DePaul) is affiliated with Planned Parenthood Illinois Action. The group reportedly said school officials did not provide its leaders with any statement of violation of school policies or procedures to explain the order to disband the organization. Caitlin Clark was in the middle of a fiery scene between the Fever and Sun on Tuesday night. Clark, while dribbling with the ball in the offensive end of the court during the third quarter of Indiana’s 88-71 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, was fouled near the right eye by Jacy Sheldon. The Indiana star took exception and bumped and shoved Sheldon. That’s when the Sun came to the defense of Sheldon, with Tina Charles coming close to Clark and wagging her index finger, while Marina Mabrey was more physical, pushing Clark to the ground. After all was said and done,...

It's pretty safe to say that the Democratic Party's response to all things Trump since 2016 has made the party irredeemable. Conservatives of a certain age ("Present") have long talked about the kinds of Democrats we used to know. There was a wistfulness there, because we were hoping that we might one day get back to righteous sparring with the Democrats we know over policy and philosophy, and then adjourn for some adult beverages together where we discussed anything but politics. I've written about this a lot over the years, but it bears repeating for the purposes of this column....

The Texas Legislature cancelled the state’s program to build its own border wall as the legislative session came to a close, having spent more than $3 billion to build only about 65 miles of scattered segments. In December 2021, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced the program at a press conference along the border, the first of its kind in the country, banging a mallet on one of the wall’s metal beams as he “declared the barrier to be impenetrable,” reported The Texas Tribune, but that bold declaration soon ran into challenges: “It’s heavy and it’s wide,” he said assuredly....

General Mills said on Tuesday it would remove artificial colors from its full U.S. retail portfolio by the end of 2027. The Cheerios maker also said it would remove synthetic dyes from all its U.S. cereals and foods served in K-12 schools by summer 2026. General Mills added the change will impact only a small portion of the K-12 school portfolio, as nearly all of its school offerings are made without certified colors while 85% of the U.S. retail portfolio is made without artificial colors. Most recently it was responsible for critically injuring an American soldier. Since Hamas' attack Oct. 7 attack on Israel, estimates run as high as 100 Iranian-backed attacks across the Mideast on U.S. bases, ships, and service personnel. Iran has acted through its surrogates and proxies, including the Houthis, Iraqi militia, Hezbollah, and others. Under the laws of war an act of war can be committed by the principal nation itself — which in this case is Iran, or surrogates acting on its behalf — with its approval or support. There can be no doubt, both as a matter of law...

Salami issued a stark statement, saying any act of aggression against Iran would result in a "tough, decisive and devastating reaction." He also said that Tehran takes full responsibility for its actions and will "overtly" acknowledge them when necessary. "If we attack anywhere or support anybody, we will unequivocally announce it," Salami said. However, he said that Iran does not dictate the policies of the Yemeni Houthi movement, which he stated make their own strategic decisions. His comments came after President Donald Trump threatened Iran, warning against support for Yemen's government and militant groups. Iran's Supreme Leader framed the strikes...
