Undercover video shows a Western Carolina University director of institutional assessment detailing a ‘strategy’ to ‘embed’ DEI. The WCU administrator caught on camera is ‘no longer employed by the university,’ a school spokesperson says. ... She went on to explain that if DEI is not explicitly mentioned in an office or title, it can remain undetected by legislators. “It is easier for them to be like, well, you need to get rid of that position because it has that niche title,” she says in the video. “Well, if we don’t create titles, and that it’s more just the work you...

The ink is dry. Hawaii has officially become the first state in the nation to impose a climate tax. It’s called the Green Fee. The name sounds harmless. The impact is anything but. Senate Bill 1396 is now law. It tacks on a 0.75% increase to the Transient Accommodations Tax. That means every hotel stay, every short-term rental, every cruise ship docking in the islands will now carry a new surcharge. The state expects this to rake in $100 million annually. This isn’t a symbolic gesture. It’s a full-scale revenue engine. The money will be funneled into climate resilience projects....

Within 48 hours of starting its war on Iran, Israel said it gained air superiority over the western part of the country, including Tehran. Israeli warplanes began dropping bombs from within Iranian skies instead of relying on expensive long-range missiles. That is a feat that the giant Russian air force has been unable to achieve in Ukraine in 3½ years of war. This setback is one of the reasons why Moscow’s troops have been bogged down in grinding trench warfare, sustaining staggering losses, ever since they failed to rapidly seize Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, in February 2022.

As the Trump administration ramps up its efforts to detain and deport undocumented immigrants across the country, it is increasingly relying on federal employees to take on new roles to supplement those enforcement efforts. Those efforts are spearheaded by Immigration and Customs Enforcement within the Homeland Security Department, but agencies within and outside DHS are soliciting employees to help ramp up the renewed crackdown. The initiative has led to raids at worksites, farms, nightclubs, residential areas and federal buildings where immigrants report for court hearings or check-ins. The efforts have led to widespread protests and, according to administration officials, increased...

Host Audie Cornish opened CNN This Morning's coverage of the arrest of the man suspected of assassinating a Minnesota state legislator and her husband, and wounding two others, with a clip of Gopher State Governor Tim Walz telling people that "rather than arguing, shake hands, find common ground." This is the same guy who recently boasted, speaking of Trump supporters, that he can "kick most of their ass." And just last month, here was Walz's proposal to fight back against Trump: "Be a little meaner, maybe it’s time for us to be a little more fierce. We have to ferociously...

Singer Nezza has claimed the LA Dodgers tried to stop her singing a Spanish rendition of the American national anthem Saturday night, before she stunningly defied their request as a show of solidarity with ICE protestors in the city. Nezza, whose real name is Vanessa Hernandez, planned the poignant tribute on the day of 'No Kings' protests across the United States over Donald Trump's controversial immigration policies, which comes after a week of unrest in Los Angeles. Yet much to her dismay, she was told by the Dodgers to perform the anthem in English ahead of their game against the...

Global investors may be underpricing the impact of a conflict between Israel and Iran, market watchers warned on Monday, as stocks rallied despite escalating warfare in the Middle East. The two regional powers continued trading fire on Monday, marking the fourth consecutive day of fighting since Israel launched airstrikes against Iran last week. Despite the continued fighting — with hundreds reported dead — global stock markets sustained a positive momentum on Monday, seemingly shrugging off broader concerns about the conflict. Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, warned on Monday that there was a risk markets were underpricing “the risk...

Trump did what a leader should do yesterday. He showed up, gave a speech, and celebrated the army, as did many across America watching from their homes. But that wasn’t the story the Democrats and their propaganda media wanted to tell. They needed it to be a distortion of reality because everything they do is a distortion of reality. Their well-funded protest drew about 11 million, so they say, becoming one of the largest protests in American history. As usual, it was not a grassroots protest by any means. It was an example of how well-funded, well-organized, and united the...
