When the guns fall silent in Ukraine – and they will, sooner or later – Western officials will rush to declare a new era of European security. There will be speeches about victory, resilience, the defense of democracy. But beneath the rhetoric, something far more consequential will already be taking shape: the emergence of Ukraine as a de facto member of NATO, regardless of whether Article 5 ever formally applies.

Federal agents took groups of people suspected of immigration law violations into custody at several places near downtown Los Angeles on Friday, as protesters clashed with authorities and agents tossed at least a dozen flash-bang grenades into the crowds. There were reports of raids being carried out in the downtown LA Fashion District and other areas, including Pico-Union and Cypress Park. Angelica Salas of the Coalition of Humane Immigrant Rights said there were at least seven immigration raids held across the region Friday, many of them at workplaces, including a doughnut shop. She said 45 people were detained in the...

Have Soros dollars now seeped into the judiciary? Either leftists are working for the Communist Chinese Party (CCP), or they have certainly read their playbooks. The playbooks of the CCP are “The Art of Warfare” and “Unrestricted Warfare”—both of which speak to exploiting the weakness of an enemy and argue that the United States does not consider the wider picture of military strategy, including “legal tools” (lawfare and economic factors) to leverage one’s opponent and circumvent the need for direct military action resulting in the same, if not even greater, destructive force. Three unelected New York federal judges of the...

A fame-seeking teenager died attempting an alarming social-media challenge called “dusting,” according to her heartbroken parents. Renna O’Rourke, 19, of Arizona, passed away Sunday after trying the viral trend, also called “chroming,” in which netizens film themselves inhaling keyboard cleaning spray to get high for views online. “She always said, ‘I’m gonna be famous, Dad. Just you watch. I’m gonna be famous,’ and unfortunately, this is not under the most optimal of circumstances,” her grieving father, Aaron O’Rourke, told AZ Family. The Tempe teen went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital. She remained unconscious in the intensive...

“‘No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth’” (Matthew 6:24). Just as we cannot have our treasures both in earth and in heaven or our bodies both in light and in darkness, we cannot “serve two masters.” The Greek word for “masters” is often translated “lord,” and often refers to a slave owner. By definition, a slave owner has total control of the slave. For a slave there is no such thing as partial...

“MAGA is developing “tech right” fatigue.” — Cernovich on “X”. In this age of info overload, when everybody’s brain has become a memory hole, we’ll see how long anyone remembers Elon Musk’s epic tantrum. The latest news is that Mr. Trump and Wonderboy have scheduled a phone convo for today, Friday, supposedly to “make-up.” The whole psychodrama looks like an episode out of the Batman movie that America has become. You could see the current plot twist from a thousand miles away. Even back in the summer, Elon’s spastic cavortings on the campaign trail looked suspiciously drug-edged. He’s reported to...

As President Donald Trump’s administration ramps up immigration enforcement in his second term, California Democrats are doubling down on their efforts to shield illegal aliens from federal authorities, even in places where public safety is at stake. This week, the California State Senate passed a series of bills that critics argue would all but handcuff federal immigration agents operating in the state. Democrats are moving to place fresh restrictions on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The legislation would ban ICE from making arrests at schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, and domestic violence shelters unless they obtain a judicial warrant — a...

Loved ones are rallying together to help a Southern California father who was detained by immigration officials, leaving his pregnant wife and two children alone. Moe Rahman, 38, lives in Orange County and has been married to his wife for 10 years. He was born in Bangladesh and his family moved to the U.S. when he was 4 years old. His family arrived on a visitor’s visa, and they were also seeking asylum from their home country due to political turmoil. In 1997, his family was ordered to be deported. They filed an appeal, but were unsuccessful, and in 2008,...

President Donald Trump signed several executive orders on Friday, lifting regulations on aviation technology and working to boost American manufacturing of drones. The trio of orders lifts regulations that had made domestic production of drones costly, prioritizes the usage of American-made drones by federal agencies and provides for the creation of a grant program for U.S. authorities to buy drones, according to NOTUS. The American drone industry had in recent years been struggling to compete with that of China, The Wall Street Journal reported. “Red tape has hindered homegrown drone innovation, restricting commercial drone use and burdening their development,” Michael...

According to political analyst Nate Silver, "the problem Democrats are having attracting male voters is that they are too mentally healthy to vote for Democrats. The Cooperative Election Study survey showed that 40% of Generation Z males consider their mental health to be "very good" or "excellent." In contrast, only 20% of Generation Z females say theirs is "very good" or "excellent." The same survey found that 51% of conservatives say their mental health is excellent. Only 20% of liberals say the same. When asked whether they have "poor mental health" 45% of liberals said yes. Only 19% of conservatives...

'He has a monstrous gift of bulls**t,' former colleague says. Republican Rep. Cory Mills of Florida built his political career with stories of heroism in the U.S. Army and as a private military operative, but several former colleagues say he exaggerated or lied about being “blown up” twice in Iraq, being an Army Ranger, training as an 18 Delta Special Forces Medical Sergeant, being a military-trained sniper, and saving the lives of two soldiers wounded by enemy fire. They also allege he walked away from his post in Iraq when his employer asked him to verify his service record. As...

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is releasing a book looking back at her favorite fashion and style moments over the years. Obama said she wanted to write the beauty book, titled “The Look,” to “reclaim” her story after her looks were scrutinized during her time in the White House. “During our family’s time in the White House, the way I looked was constantly being dissected — what I wore, how my hair was styled,” she wrote in an Instagram announcement. “For a while now, I’ve been wanting to reclaim more of that story, to share it in my own way....

Grant Hardin, 56, has evaded capture since walking out of Calico Rock prison on May 25 — despite searchers employing bloodhounds, officers on horseback, drones, helicopters and an elite US Border Patrol team. “Escapee Grant Hardin was captured this afternoon approximately 1.5 miles west of the prison grounds by law enforcement officials,” the Izard County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. “His identity was confirmed by fingerprint analysis prior...

SACRAMENTO, California — Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday suggested California consider withholding tens of billions in annual federal tax dollars amid reports Donald Trump is preparing funding cuts targeting the state.Newsom’s suggestion came after CNN reported the president was considering a “full termination” of federal grant funding for California’s universities.“Californians pay the bills for the federal government. We pay over $80 BILLION more in taxes than we get back,” the Democratic governor said in an X post Friday afternoon, referencing a recent analysis from the Rockefeller Institute that California contributed about $83 billion more in federal taxes in 2022 than...

Sometime in the Twenties, Józef Piłsudski quipped that the “most beloved state” of the Polish people is indecision. Almost exactly a century on, the modern nation’s founding father has never been more right, with last week’s presidential election resulting in an almost literal dead heat. Though the conservative Karol Nawrocki finally carried the day, the populist Law and Justice Party (PiS) candidate only defeated Rafał Trzaskowski, the liberal mayor of Warsaw, by just 1.78% of the vote, with less than 370,000 ballots separating the two men in a country of 37 million. Since Nawrocki’s win, commentators of all stripes have...
