A radio station owned by left-wing billionaire George Soros has come under fire for revealing the locations of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, potentially endangering their undercover operations. Undercover ICE agents based in San Jose, California, were exposed after KCBS 740 AM radio host Bret Burkhart disclosed sensitive details on air.

John Hughes, the great bard of 1980s teen movies? That's what one reviewer said. Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in pink, National Lampoons Vacation, Home Alone, Ferris Bueller's day off on and on with movies that make me think of some NOT teenaged guy, but a pervert living out his sexual fantasies vicariously through some teens used as pawns by him in his movies forced to act as if this is the real way teens think and behave. Only they don't, didn't. How do or did people find this guys films charming? The only good things in them are...

As universities across the U.S. seek to deal with protests, polarization, and the presidential election, many have focused on how to foster civil-discourse skills in students. As this tweet (below) from Professor Robert “Robby” George illustrates, civil-discourse programs are popping up across the nation. Of course, UNC has its own version with its School of Civic Life and Leadership (SCiLL). What Is Civil Discourse? Since this is an essay about AI, I’ll use an AI-generated answer from Google Search for the definition (Google Search AI collects data from websites on a topic, in this case “civil discourse,” and summarizes the...

Watchdog groups are suing the US government to uncover Qatar’s multibillion-dollar funding of top universities, raising concerns over foreign influence in academia. The Zachor Legal Institute, in conjunction with Judicial Watch, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the US Department of Education a couple of weeks ago, seeking records related to Doha’s funding and operations at five prestigious American universities: Georgetown, Northwestern, Cornell, Harvard, and the University of Michigan. The legal action comes in the wake of Texas A&M University's February 2024 decision to shut its Qatar campus, following revelations from a previous lawsuit that uncovered nearly...

LINK: Bill Whittle: Five Hole DiplomacyThis is a 15 min video (The Right Angle Series) on Bill Whittle's website where each episode (up to two or three a week if things allow) involves each participant (Bill Whittle, Scott Ott, and Stephen Green) the opportunity to choose the subject of discussion, and it is a free-flowing discussion of the issue that I have found both highly entertaining and informative. In this episode, they discuss Colombia's refusal to accept flights of illegal immigrants, and Trump's unique style of "diplomacy" which Bill Whittle has deliciously coined as "Five Hole Diplomacy".

The Trump administration is terminating an immigration program that currently protects hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan migrants in the U.S. from deportation, paving the way for many of them to lose their legal status this spring, according to a government notice obtained by CBS News. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem this weekend revoked one of two Temporary Protected Status designations for Venezuela, which the U.S. government had previously determined was too dangerous to allow Venezuelans to return to their homeland safely.

Jenni Hermoso has told the trial of Spain's former football chief Luis Rubiales that the kiss he gave her at the 2023 World Cup "stained one of the happiest days of my life". The Spanish world champion footballer was the first witness in Rubiales' trial over the kiss, where he is accused of sexual assault and coercion. She told the court in Madrid: "My boss was kissing me, and this shouldn't happen in any social or work setting." Rubiales sparked major controversy when he kissed the athlete on the lips during the medal ceremony for the side's World Cup victory...

President Trump is taking down the deep state. He’s currently tearing down the USAID. Elon Musk calls it a ball of worms. “As we dug into USAID, it became apparent that what we have here is not an apple with a worm in it, but we have actually just a ball of worms. If you have an apple with a worm in it, you can take the worm out. If you have a whole ball of worms, it’s hopeless. USAID is a ball of worms. There is no apple. And when there is no apple, you just need to get...

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem (2/3/25)[Prayer]Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit (Spirit That Says “Jesus Is Lord”) 1 John 4:1-3 4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have...

“He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men’” (Matthew 4:19). Our Lord did not merely command His new disciples to become “fishers of men,” He promised to help them catch people’s souls. He would remind them many times that they would never be effective disciplers—or successful disciples at all—if they didn’t rely on His power: “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Certain qualities that make a person a good...

Promise made, promise kept. That is the overwhelming feeling for Americans under President Donald Trump as they are more bullish on the U.S. economy and the stock market while being more hopeful about crushing inflation and borrowing costs than they have been in 10 years or more, a Gallup poll showed on Monday. Overall Americans’ current outlook on the stock market is the most optimistic Gallup has recorded, while the percentages expecting interest rates, unemployment, and inflation to worsen are among the lowest. Reuters reports some 53 percent of Americans predicted the U.S. economy will grow over the next six...

A Kent roofer who had £3,000 ($3.6k) worth of tools stolen in the time it took to buy a coffee is backing calls for tougher penalties for thieves. Dennis Richardson, from Maidstone, said: "We were out of sight for a couple of minutes at a coffee shop. "I've got a family, and we've got to eat, we've got to pay bills. To suddenly have to find £3,000 ($3.6k) is not easy," he said. The government said it would continue to work with the police "to explore ways to tackle tool theft, ensure justice for victims, and punish criminals". A bill...

The main office of the US Agency for International Development in Washington was unexpectedly closed Monday and workers were emailed shortly after midnight that they should not come in, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. “At the direction of Agency leadership, the USAID headquarters at the Ronald Reagan building in Washington, D.C. will be closed to Agency personnel on Monday, February 3, 2025. Agency personnel normally assigned to work at USAID headquarters will work remotely tomorrow, with the exception of personnel with essential on-site and building maintenance functions individually contacted by senior leadership,” said the email, of which...

I'm honored and grateful to President Donald J. Trump for his trust and confidence in nominating me to serve our country as the Director of National Intelligence. I am especially honored to be nominated for this role at a time when trust in the intelligence community is at an all-time low, and the world is more dangerous than ever, given the national security failures of the Biden administration. But it didn't start with President Biden. For too long, faulty, inadequate and weaponized intelligence has led to costly failures, which have undermined our national security and constitutional freedoms. The most obvious...

Acting FBI Director Brian Driscoll is reportedly refusing to give the names of the officials involved in January 6 cases and Trump investigations. Brian Driscoll is currently serving as Acting FBI Director as Trump nominee Kash Patel awaits confirmation. CNN reported that “At least six FBI leaders” have been removed or told to resign by Monday. President Trump fired the head of the FBI Washington Field Office, David Sundberg, canned 20 other heads of offices. As many as 88 FBI officials were marched out of their offices on Friday. According to an email from acting Director Brian Driscoll and reviewed...

In the first two weeks of his second term, President Donald Trump is acting quickly and following through on his campaign promises. Repeatedly, he has promised to authorize tariffs against Canada and Mexico for their inadequate level of cooperation in stopping the flow of drugs and illegal immigrants into our country. On Saturday, Trump followed through on his promise by signing an executive order which levels 25% tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico.

The Trump administration has removed two top security officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development after they refused to let representatives of Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” access restricted spaces at the agency on Saturday, said current and former USAID officials. The placement of the security officials — John Voorhees and his deputy — on administrative leave is the latest effort by the Trump administration and Musk to wrest control of the world’s largest provider of food assistance, which they have denigrated without offering evidence as left-wing and corrupt amid objections from Democratic and Republican lawmakers. Amid the...

Curcumin, a compound in turmeric, aids muscle recovery and reduces inflammation after exercise, according to UOC researchers. Optimal results depend on dosage, timing, and bioavailability. A review of scientific literature conducted by the UOC has found that consuming moderate doses of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, may support muscle recovery and help reduce pain after intense physical activity. The turmeric plant, part of the ginger family, has been valued for thousands of years as both a spice and a natural food dye in cooking. Its stem produces a yellow or reddish substance, depending on the species, which is a...

You won’t believe this one. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has been funneling millions of taxpayer dollars to organizations linked to Bill Kristol, the neoconservative war hawk best known for pushing endless wars and failed foreign policy. But here’s the twist—Elon Musk just exposed it, and now the heat is on. Who is Bill Kristol? He’s the guy who cheered on the Iraq War, pushed for regime change everywhere, and now runs “Defending Democracy Together,” a group that’s received at least $2 million from USAID to influence American politics. Why is USAID involved? USAID is supposed to fund...
