In the first two weeks of his second term, President Donald Trump is acting quickly and following through on his campaign promises. I don’t think it’s a ‘temper tantrum’
I think they are responding to them.
And Trump responded back: You react with your own 25% tariff, ours goes to 50%.
Just stop the fentanyl and the illegal aliens running into our country and the pain will be reduced.
I believe that “they” made a knee jerk reaction and don’t have a clue about how to react. Before they can, they will be rendered ineffective and just gone.
The pretense of the liberal government of Canada's not having a "thumb on the scales" of trade is a fantasy. All three nations, as above, have reaped mighty rewards from the US imbalance with them.
Together, Canada and Mexico DWARF China, in this regard. No wonder they want to keep it this way. And no wonder we don't.
D’oh! Canada.
Trump has Trudeau by the short hairs. Canadians need to oust that clown and sit down with Trump and make a deal that benefits both our countries. Trump became a billionaire by power deals and is applying his skill to foreign countries. No more diplomatic niceties and hand wringing about what to do.
I don’t think Canada liked us much anyway. Jealous of us forever.
