The Los Angeles Unified School District is giving out informational “red cards” to immigrants as President Donald Trump’s mass deportation of mostly criminal illegals heats up. The cards contain information about encounters with federal immigration officials, NBC Los Angeles reported Tuesday. The news comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials deported 7,300 illegal migrants during Trump’s first week in office, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said, according to Breitbart News. The outlet noted: Most of the deported migrants were criminals guilty of — or facing charges of — robbery, rape, assault, domestic violence, drunk driving, and reckless driving....

Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree outlawing peace negotiations with Moscow in 2022, months after the West sabotaged a ready peace treaty to pursue an all-out proxy war against Russia.President Putin has expressed readiness to find negotiators to speak directly with Volodymyr Zelensky. "If he wants to take part in negotiations, I will select such people, it's not an issue. The question is about the final signing of the documents," Putin said in a TV interview Tuesday, noting that Zelensky's legitimacy has expired, and he therefore "does not have the right to sign anything." Under Ukrainian law, the end of the...

The U.S. military transferred around 90 Patriot air defense interceptors from storage in Israel to Poland this week in order to deliver them to Ukraine, three sources with knowledge of the operation tell Axios. Why it matters: Getting more Patriot missiles to Ukraine has been a top priority for the Pentagon to help Kyiv defend against Russia's attacks on its critical infrastructure. This is also the most significant delivery of weapons from Israel to Ukraine since the Russian invasion almost three years ago.

Tesla is under scrutiny from Swedish authorities following a complaint lodged by the Union of Swedish Electricians, Bloomberg News reported. The labor union has accused the US automaker of conducting unauthorized electrical work at its charging stations in an attempt to bypass a sympathy strike by union members. The union's allegations, made public on Tuesday, suggest that Tesla performed work at certain installations without registering it with the National Electrical Safety Board, a requirement under Swedish law. The complaint is the latest twist in a 15-month dispute between Tesla and Swedish labor unions, which began when the electric vehicle manufacturer...

Explanation: Comets can be huge. When far from the Sun, a comet's size usually refers to its hard nucleus of ice and rock, which typically spans a few kilometers -- smaller than even a small moon. When nearing the Sun, however, this nucleus can eject dust and gas and leave a thin tail that can spread to an enormous length -- even greater than the distance between the Earth and the Sun. Pictured, C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) sports a tail of sunlight-reflecting dust and glowing gas that spans several times the apparent size of a full moon, appearing even larger on...

Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) claimed Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” that President Donald Trump’s pardons have excused political violence, and that has created a “really dangerous precedent.” Co-host Sara Haines said, “Governor in your memoir, True Gretch you write about being the target of a far-right militia kidnapping plot. We talked about that a lot during the height of the pandemic.” She asked, “Did Trump’s pardoning of roughly 1,500 January 6th rioters bring back your own experience with political violence and what message do you think that sends?” Whitmer said, “I think it does send a bad message, right, that...

It was Christmas 2011, a year after Roman Abramovich had taken delivery of his new superyacht, Eclipse. But it seemed the oligarch would not be using it over the festive period - records show it had been chartered by a company based in the British Virgin Islands. And yet photographs from Christmas Day that year show Mr Abramovich in the Caribbean sunshine, standing on the swim platform at the rear of the yacht, with Eclipse's large letter-E logo behind him. Charter records such as this were part of a decade-long scheme to mislead tax authorities, now uncovered in an investigation...

The U.S. profits while the EU is left to pay the bills under the alleged ‘100 Day’ peace plan. -snip- But suppose for a moment that the war will end, sooner or later, with a similar agreement. Ukraine wins by acquiring EU membership and endless U.S. military support. Russia wins by keeping the occupied territories and preventing further NATO encroachment on its borders. The U.S. wins by continuing to sell more arms than ever both to Ukraine and Europe, while also keeping the latter mostly dependent on American energy supplies. Europe however, is left to finance most of the reconstruction—the...

The daughter of Colombia’s president has waded into the short-lived standoff between her father and President Trump over deportations — suggesting the Latin American nation should send back an American sex tourist for every Colombian deported from the US. “For every Colombian deported we will return a gringo from the Poblado,” wrote Andrea Petro, the daughter of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, in a post on X Monday. She accompanied the cheeky message with a meme of dolphins jumping from the sea under a rainbow-crested sky.

"Our measurements imply that the supermassive black hole mass is 10% of the stellar mass in the galaxies we studied." Using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), astronomers have discovered distant, overly massive supermassive black holes in the early universe. The black holes seem way too massive compared to the mass of the stars in the galaxies that host them. In the modern universe, for galaxies close to our own Milky Way, supermassive black holes tend to have masses equal to around 0.01% of the stellar mass of their host galaxy. Thus, for every 10,000 solar masses attributed to stars...

I would like to let my friends here know of something that I've been working to build, along with some other amazing conservatives, and it all started right here. Most of us all remember the amazing work that the Tea Party did from 2010 - 2016. We also know that they fizzled out. They were a powerful force for Conservatism and showed just how effective it can be, and how much people actually want it.We've lost that momentum though. One hurdle that has existed within the GOP is to nail down and define what really is conservatism, and what is not....

President Donald Trump has suspended dozens of government officials for trying to circumvent his executive order on freezing all foreign aid. Dozens of career government officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development were placed on leave on Monday. One agency staffer told the Wall Street Journal that 57 people were affected. 'We have identified several actions within USAID that appear to be designed to circumvent the President's Executive orders and the mandate from the American people,' said the newly installed acting administrator, Jason Gray, in an email obtained by The Washington Post. 'As a result, we have placed a...

The first victory in President Trump's battle to deport criminal aliens was achieved by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid in Boston. A later raid in New York City netted pedophiles, gang members, and a suspected terrorist. Over 500 arrests were made. A planned raid in Chicago was preceded by an ABC News Chicago broadcast offering illegal immigrants advice on how to evade detection and arrest by ICE agents. Acting deputy...

Georgia Power says they have been working with Town Center for several months to resolve their “highly delinquent” bills. They went on to say that disconnecting service at the mall was a “last resort.”

Prosecutors in California have reached a plea deal to end a nearly decade-long court fight with an anti-abortion activist and journalist who together exposed Planned Parenthood for allegedly trafficking fetal body parts. David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, and journalist Sandra Merritt, said Monday the criminal cases against them have ended, with the California Attorney General’s office agreeing to a plea deal that includes no prison time or fines, Live Action reported Monday. Videos taken by Daleiden and Merritt exposed the scandal after they went undercover at various locations, including the National Abortion Federation’s 2014 and 2015...

For too long, California and other states have viewed stormwater as either a threat or an inconvenience — something to be whisked away from cities and communities as quickly as possible. But as traditional sources of water face worsening strain from climate change, population growth, agriculture and other factors, those unused gallons of rainwater pouring across asphalt or down rain gutters are starting to be viewed as an untapped resource that can help close the widening gap between supply and demand.

SNIPThe disease afflicts nearly seven million Americans, about one in every nine people over the age of 65, making it a leading cause of death among older adults. SNIPOver the past 25 years, Alzheimer’s research has suffered a litany of ostensible fraud and other misconduct by world-famous researchers and obscure scientists alike, all trying to ascend in a brutally competitive field. During years of investigative reporting, I’ve uncovered many such cases, including several detailed for the first time in my forthcoming book.Take for example the revered neuroscientist Eliezer Masliah, whose groundbreaking research has shaped the development of treatments for memory...

One might imagine that Florida’s Republican Legislature, basking in the glow of Governor Ron DeSantis’ relentless competence, would be eager to continue the momentum on immigration enforcement. After all, they have spent the last few years hitching their wagons to his successes, strutting about as if they themselves were responsible for Florida’s rise as a conservative stronghold. Yet, when faced with an opportunity to enact real immigration reform, they did what weak men always do: they flinched.Instead of passing a serious bill that would empower the governor to execute immigration laws with the full force of the state, they opted...
