CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland police say a 25-year-old woman is the latest person to be arrested in connection to street takeovers. Officers say they arrested Samantha Olafsson Thursday, seizing three guns and two cars. She was allegedly involved in the street takeovers in September 2024. According to police, Olafsson is facing charges of aggravated riot, disruption of public services, tampering with evidence, possession of criminal tools, and fleeing and eluding. Seized during the investigation, police say, were a 2014 Jeep and 2022 Dodge Charger.

President-elect Donald Trump has expressed his outrage in a post on Truth Social after New York Judge Juan Merchan set a sentencing date of January 10 in his New York “hush money” case. Trump said that if the judge’s decision is allowed to stand, “it would be the end of the Presidency as we know it.” If it is not overturned or postponed, the sentencing will occur just ten days before Trump returns to the White House. Trump responded to the date being scheduled by writing, “Every Legal Scholar and Pundit, including the highly respected, and sadly recently passed, David...

.... Merchan scheduled President-elect Donald J. Trump’s sentencing in the so-called “hush money” case on January 10, and indicated that jail time was never seriously on the table. The entire case against Trump was absurd from the beginning. So much so that even CNN’s legal analyst Elie Honig declared last year that the case against Trump "was an ill-conceived, unjustified mess,” and accused prosecutors of contorting the law to rig the trial against Trump. "Standing alone, falsification charges would have been mere misdemeanors under New York law, which posed two problems for the DA,” Honig explained. “First, nobody cares about...

Dr. Joel Klenck discusses Armenian Revenge for the Armenian Genocide, during World War I (1914-1918) and during the Turkish War of Independence (1919-1923). This revenge included the Caucasus campaigns, with the Russian Empire against Ottoman Turkey, the assassination of all leaders of the Committee for Union and Progress, and the concealment of Noah's Ark for more that a century. The concealment of Noah's Ark caused lower life expectancy, higher death rates, and conflict amongst Turkish and Kurdish populations. Armenian Revenge also facilitated decomposition of the ancient vessel's architecture and organic artifacts and illegal artifact removal from Noah's Ark.

By Dr. John BergsmaThe Christmas season can sometimes seem to be just one joyful feast after another. We are scarcely past the glow from the Holy Family and Mary, Mother of God, when Epiphany is already upon us. The word “Epiphany” comes from two Greek words: epi, “on, upon”; and phaino, “to appear, to shine.” Therefore, the “Epiphany” refers to the divinity of Jesus “shining upon” the earth, in other words, the manifestation of his divine nature. The use of the word “epiphany” for the revelation of divinity predates Christianity. The Syrian (Seleucid) emperor Antiochus IV (175-164 BC), the villainous...

A Montana official entrusted with preserving Montana’s history is accused of embezzling up to as much as $300,000 in state funds to pay for his tattoo, divorce fees and rent. Michael Elijah Allen, who took over as the Heritage Commission’s executive director in 2012, is accused of embezzling the money between 2020 to early 2024, a criminal complaint filed by Lewis and Clark County. The MHC’s total annual budget is around $2.2 million, which the agency uses to maintain and preserve three important historic sites in Montana. Allen allegedly deployed a variety of tactics to embezzle MHC funds and launder...

Traffic cameras have been the bane of Britons for many a year now — but our neighbors across the pond have recently upped the battle, and the technology is coming over to America, as well. According to a Dec. 21 report from NBC News, police departments in the United States have become the latest to use an AI-powered traffic camera system made by an Australian company named Acusensus. The system, called “Heads Up,” doesn’t just check speed or running traffic lights like in other locales. Instead, they look for violations, like failure to wear a seat belt or texting while...

A two-hour conversation with an artificial intelligence (AI) model is all it takes to make an accurate replica of someone's personality, researchers have discovered. In a new study published Nov. 15 to the preprint database arXiv, researchers from Google and Stanford University created "simulation agents" — essentially, AI replicas — of 1,052 individuals based on two-hour interviews with each participant. These interviews were used to train a generative AI model designed to mimic human behavior. ... To create the simulation agents, the researchers conducted in-depth interviews that covered participants' life stories, values and opinions on societal issues. This enabled the...

Art Spiegelman, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel Maus, has announced that he will be collaborating with Joe Sacco, creator of the documentary-comic Palestine, in a new project about Gaza. Spiegelman made the remarks during the premiere of a documentary about his life, Art Spiegelman: Disaster is My Muse, in New York. He said that the new graphic novel will likely be difficult to find a publisher for in the US, given the ongoing wave of censorship on Palestine in western art, but added: “I'll finish this thing or die trying”. Spiegelman is an American cartoonist, co-editor of the...

It’s the scandal that refuses to die. Despite the best efforts of our spineless elites – who’d rather talk about anything on Earth other than grooming gangs – it keeps creeping back. For all the left’s cheap, libellous cries about how racist it is to talk about these gangs, people keep talking about them. In the face of official indifference to the suffering of thousands of poor and working-class girls at the hands of these groomers and abusers, people have demanded a reckoning. There is a public thirst for truth, and no amount of top-down slander and censure can crush...

Axolotls, or Ambystoma mexicanum, are the new superstars of the amphibian world. These salamanders are native to a single lake in Mexico City, Lake Xochimilco, and are famous for their smiling appearance and incredible ability to regrow lost body parts. California has fairly strict rules to protect local ecosystems and prevent non-native species from causing havoc. “If released into the wild, axolotls have the potential to easily outcompete already struggling native salamander species, such as the California tiger salamander and the Eastern tiger salamander,” Axolotl Central points out. For those who can legally keep them as pets, they’re considered to...

General Motors' decision to leave Detroit's iconic Renaissance Center (RenCen) has sparked debate about the building's future and the city's ongoing revival. Originally envisioned in the 1970s as a symbol of Detroit's rebirth, the RenCen became GM's headquarters in 1996 after a $500 million renovation. However, shifting workplace trends and declining office demand led GM to announce its move to the Hudson's Detroit development—a $1.4 billion mixed-use project in downtown. The relocation raises questions about the RenCen's fate, as GM and Bedrock Detroit propose a $1.6 billion redevelopment plan. The controversial proposal includes partial demolition, residential conversions, and public funding...

In 1978, the Carter administration made a deal with General Omar Torrijos, the uniformed socialist strongman who had seized power in Panama, to abandon America’s crown jewel. The Panama Canal had been built with over a decade of labor and half a billion of early twentieth century dollars by American engineers and visionaries who succeeded where the British and the French had failed, in the process they created a new country, Panama, and new trade routes. Jimmy Carter had run for office promising to oppose a surrender of the canal. As with most of his policies, he turned out to...

President-elect Donald J. Trump will be sentenced on January 10, but there will be no jail time, not that was ever a concern. The laws and statutes got so contorted that even CNN’s Elie Honig, the network's chief legal analyst and former assistant US attorney, couldn’t defend it, aptly calling it a total disaster of a case. In essence, Trump only got convicted because Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his team perverted the rule of law.
