From media claims that we are a hopelessly divided country to ceaseless personal attacks on the presidential candidates’ characters and track records, it’s not surprising that most folks believe the American electorate is more polarized than ever. A closer look at the two parties’ respective platforms, however, reveals a story of a homogeneous citizenry, and a nation unified in its temperament and values. Political polarization oscillates back and forth depending on various social and political factors, both domestic and international. Since the mid-2000s, the Democratic and Republican parties have tended in opposite directions along the political spectrum on a variety...

"Campaigns need funding, and big donors expect influence. This practice breeds codependent leaders who are more beholden to money than solutions and more indebted to donors than voters, leading to political appointments based on allegiance rather than skill. The Roman Praetorian Guard began as an elite protective force, but eventually devolved into a politically-motivated group that prioritized loyalty and political affinity over competence and skill. Much like contemporary DEI initiatives, where job performance metrics are often overshadowed by political or social considerations, the Guard’s erosional shift led to a death march of the unit’s integrity. Similarly, in modern government, critical...

Bernard “Bernie” Marcus, who helped build The Home Depot into one of America’s most iconic brands before turning to philanthropy and conservative politics and unabashedly backing Donald Trump’s rise in politics, died Monday night at the age of 95. Marcus’ death was confirmed to Just the News by a family friend Tuesday morning. Marcus established The Home Depot with co-founder Arthur Blank in 1978, growing the orange-clad store into a $400 billion hardware giant that became one of Americas largest employers with 2,300 stores.

This is the 2020 electoral map... Keep in mind... Republican states are blue, Democrat states are red. Dave maintains the historical original colors adopted by the political parties decades before the mainstream media and Democrats coopted the color blue in the 1990s. Blue has always historically been the Republican/Conservative color both in America and worldwide. Red has always historically been the Democrat/Liberal color both in America and worldwide. So it may take some adjusting for political newbies. Dave's site will allow you to modify this 2020 map to achieve the electoral vote totals that you are predicting... It's an awesome...

Nogales, Mexico — Migrants from all corners of the globe, from Latin America to far-flung countries in Africa and Asia, come to a shelter in this northern Mexican city hoping to enter the U.S. and escape economic hardship and, in some cases, deadly danger. "They tried to kill us," said Rosa Benalcazar, a migrant staying at the House of Mercy and all Nations, one of the biggest shelters for migrants on the Mexican side of the Arizona-Mexico border. Benalcazar said she journeyed to the U.S. after criminal gangs threatened to harm her and her family in Ecuador. Like the other...

PHILADELPHIA — As Donald Trump yet again tells his supporters he can lose Tuesday only if there's massive voter fraud and as he ramps up violent rhetoric about Democrats and other "enemies," members of the far-right group that put more "boots on the ground" than any other at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, say they're mobilizing. The last time Trump tried to overturn his election loss, the Proud Boys played a critical role, jumping into action on Jan. 6 just weeks after Trump gave the group a major recruitment boost by telling it to “stand back and stand...

Former President Donald Trump concluded the final campaign rally of the 2024 election at 2:09 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Election Day in Grand Rapids, Michigan, defying opponents who claimed he was losing his energy. As he did in 2016, Trump concluded his presidential campaign in Grand Rapids, beginning his remarks before a packed crowd shortly after midnight and speaking for the better part of two hours. “Can you imagine a crowd like this at, like, one o’clock or some ridiculous time in the morning, on a Monday-slash-Tuesday?” he asked the cheering crowd. “What a compliment,” he said, gratefully, before...

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth announced Monday that early voting numbers across the county could be off due to a formatting issue within the spreadsheet they use to keep track of the numbers. In a statement, Hudspeth said cells shifted for some of the voting centers in the spreadsheet and showed "incorrect numbers for other locations." Editor's note: The video atop this article is from a previous report. It's unclear how many locations the shift affected. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. The weather is expected to be a factor in Southeast Texas, so be prepared...

This is a tough message for me to write. Because of my production schedule with our printing plant for Wisconsin Christian News, and the deadline I have there, I must write this message prior to election day on November 5. Even worse, this issue of Wisconsin Christian News won’t come out until after the election. Such are the challenges of publishing a monthly newspaper. So I must comment on the situation ahead of time — now — not knowing how things will go on the most significant day America has faced in a very long time. What do I say?...

Illustrating how the fourth estate is now brazenly a branch of the political establishment, MSNBC’s Joy Reid asserted that the media has “said all they can” to help Kamala Harris win the election. Reid made the revealing comments during her show last night. “We begin our final sprint having arrived at that point in the election season where basically we, on this side of the TV screen have said, all we can, we’ve laid out the stakes in this crucial election,” she said. The talk show host went on to engage in her usual blathering word salad of implying all...

The title of the classic book “To Kill a Mockingbird” means to destroy innocence. The Biden-Harris administration has certainly done that, and many a Blue State government has done the same. Take New York’s government—please. The Empire State’s Department of Environmental Conservation actually sent multiple agents into a couple’s home to abduct their pet squirrel, Peanut, and subsequently murder him. I know that sounds preposterous, but does it really…in a post COVID-1984 world? One wouldn’t think the NYDEC would be in the business of aborting squirrels after birth, but who knows anymore. NYDEC also confiscated and offed Fred the raccoon,...

The race for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District took an unexpected turn this weekend as Democratic nominee Eugene Vindman’s military record came under intense scrutiny during an appearance on Washington’s WUSA9. During the interview, Vindman was repeatedly pressed on accusations that he had exaggerated his military credentials, including his rank and combat experience. Given multiple opportunities to clarify his record, Vindman declined to provide a direct response. Instead, he avoided directly addressing questions regarding allegations that he had misrepresented his battlefield experience, opting for what many observers described as evasive language. Vindman, the twin brother of Alexander Vindman, who gained national...
