The race for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District took an unexpected turn this weekend as Democratic nominee Eugene Vindman’s military record came under intense scrutiny during an appearance on Washington’s WUSA9.
During the interview, Vindman was repeatedly pressed on accusations that he had exaggerated his military credentials, including his rank and combat experience. Given multiple opportunities to clarify his record, Vindman declined to provide a direct response. Instead, he avoided directly addressing questions regarding allegations that he had misrepresented his battlefield experience, opting for what many observers described as evasive language.
Vindman, the twin brother of Alexander Vindman, who gained national attention as a key witness in former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial, is vying for the seat in Virginia’s Fredericksburg-based 7th district. The seat, currently held by Democratic Representative Abigail Spanberger, is open as Spanberger has announced her plans to step down to run for governor.
A recent Ragnar Research Partners poll shows Vindman in a statistical tie with Republican Derrick Anderson in Virginia’s 7th District.

Must be a long lost cousin to Walz. /s
Kissin’ Cousins...................
The Vindman twins— two wild and crazy guys only with uniforms and guns.
Please VA- do NOT award this backstabbing traitor with a congressional seat. He deserves, rather, a nice 8x10 cement jail cell and bologna sandwich lunches.
Vindmans are scum assholes.
Is he Tweedle Dumb or Tweedle Dee?
“Early” indication, yeah.
Remember when Deep State Abby (in this very district) “won” her election a couple of terms ago.... *at about 2 AM* when Democrats found a “thumb drive” contains lots of votes for their candidate and few or none for the (R)?
All that we’ll know “early” is that it’s a close race in VA-7 just like everyone expects. Though the media might call the state for Kamulatto & Kaine as early as possible.
And even that won’t be “early” (unless they’re gaslighting) because the good areas of the state report first and Trump & Cao will be winning and people will be going nuts with “landslide” talk.... and then, barring a massive upset and the absence of fraud, reality will hit a while later.
Ukraine spy and major actor in coup against Trump
Whoa - that’s a real Debbie downer post - but I do remember the thumb drive
Heavy Democrat precincts take forever to report.
It’s not all bad: the 7th is a tossup and certainly winnable
— not as winnable as it was before redistricting, but still winnable; Democrats are taking a big run at Kiggans (R squish) in CD-2 but she should hold on, so the worst we’ll do in the House is break even and maybe get +1 in CD-7.
CD-10 (NOVA outside the beltway) is a fever dream as far as being an R pickup, but some claim it could at least be close there. If it IS close somehow, that bodes well for Trump and Cao but it would have to be QUITE close in CD-10 for that to be a true indicator of possible statewide success.
This is still “blue-purple” Virginia, and the glorious sweep of 2021 was a long time ago and hasn’t been repeated after that (2022 and 2023 were very disappointing in VA).
I know some late outlier poll showed everything real tight statewide, but there’s probably a real good reason why that’s called an “outlier”.
They have cruised successfully in their tight slacks.
My military service is all I got left. Dont lie about yours or we may become fast enemies.
can’t stand either of one of these fat twins, and I hope he loses. Ukranian scum, hope they both cry a river.
This is my district. I am not able to articulate how much I despise the Vindman brothers.
