The chair of a North Carolina Democratic Party board has resigned after he was arrested for stealing pro-Donald Trump yard signs. Former Moore County Democratic Party Chair Lowell Simon resigned after he was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 10 and charged with two counts of removing political signs. The crime is a misdemeanor under North Carolina state law.
