Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) claimed Thursday night that electing Vice President Kamala Harris president would lead to lower grocery prices despite the fact that inflation has skyrocketed over the last four years during the Biden-Harris administration. Warren made the comments as she spoke during the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday. Throughout her speech, she claimed that Harris would be better on economic and social issues. “You know what I love best about Kamala Harris? Kamala Harris can’t be bought and she can’t be bossed around,” Warren claimed after walking onto the stage and breaking...

BERLIN (AP) – Security at a NATO air base in western Germany has been raised because of intelligence information pointing to a “potential threat,” and all staff not essential to missions have been sent home as a precaution, NATO said. The Geilenkirchen air base, near the border with the Netherlands, is where the alliance’s Airborne Warning and Control System, or AWACS, aircraft are based. A post on the NATO AWACS fleet’s account on social media network X late Thursday night announcing that “we raised the security level” did not elaborate on the nature of the potential threat. It said that...

With completed border wall to his right and unused construction materials to his left, former President Donald Trump told reporters Thursday in Arizona that if he wins the Nov. 5 election and returns to office in January, he will impose the death penalty on sex traffickers. “We will seal the border, stop the invasion, and launch the largest deportation effort in American history. We will impose tough new sentences on illegal alien criminals,” Trump said, adding that “these include: [a] 10-year mandatory minimum sentence for anyone guilty of human smuggling; a guaranteed life sentence for anyone guilty of child trafficking;...

A fresh hire within President Biden’s Department of Energy previously wrote an op-ed about “queering nuclear weapons” — in which she argued that “queer theory” was crucial to US nuclear policy. Sneha Nair co-authored the article just months before she was hired in February as a special assistant at the DOE’s nuclear security wing, the National Nuclear Security Administration, noted Fox News, which first reported on it. In the wide-ranging piece, Nair argued that queer theory could “help change how nuclear practitioners, experts, and the public think about nuclear weapons” as she touched on the sprawling diversity, equity and inclusion...

President Donald J. Trump to Deliver Remarks on No Tax on Tips in Las Vegas, NevadaPresident Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, to Deliver Remarks on No Tax on Tips in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, August 23, 2024, 12:00PM PDT. President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance stand with hard-working Americans under assault by Kamala Harris and her dangerously liberal agenda. Inflation in Nevada is over 22.2%, spiking average household costs over $1,199 a month. Nevadans have spent $9,936 more on transportation, $5,158 more on energy, $3,514 more on food, and $5,831 more on...

…With things trending so positively…the campaign probably calculates that it’s unlikely many undecided voters will be persuaded by anything she says in such formats (as opposed to messaging Harris can more fully control, like rallies and ads), while a botched answer could generate a great deal of new negative coverage and attacks. Harris has suffered such fates in the past. In January 2019, at the start of her presidential campaign, anchor Jake Tapper asked at a CNN town hall whether her support of Medicare-for-all meant she wanted to eliminate private health insurance. Harris responded by saying that, yes, you won’t...

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem (8/23/24)[Prayer]Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit (Omniscient -All Knowing) Psalm 139:1-6139 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is...

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially withdrew from the 2024 presidential race this week as rumors swirl that he is about to throw his support behind former President Donald Trump. Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, revealed on Tuesday that the campaign is mulling over aligning with Trump. “There’s two options that we’re looking at,” Shanahan said earlier this week. The first involves staying in the race, or “we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump,” Shanahan explained. Pollster Rich Baris said Trump could inherit a significant portion of Kennedy’s supporters, with surveys suggesting that 40% of Kennedy’s backers...

An Arizona man has been detained after he allegedly made several social media threats to kill former president Donald Trump. Ronald Syvrud, 66, made the threats over the last few weeks, a spokesperson for Cochise County told CNN. The spokesperson didn’t say which platform Syvrud used to make the threats. The Benson resident has several outstanding warrants, including DUI charges, felony hit and run, as well as failing to register as a sex offender, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. The Sheriff’s office added on the social media platform as a “public safety consideration” that “Syvrud is being...

Police are actively investigating an attempted armed robbery of a postal worker that took place in Buckhead. A good Samaritan, Michael Humes, intervened and ended up in a shootout with the suspect, saving the postal worker’s life. It happened around 1 p.m. on Aug. 1, while the female postal worker was delivering mail in a garage behind businesses on Pharr Road. It’s still unclear whether the suspect specifically targeted her or was randomly looking for someone to rob. Humes was visiting a friend when he noticed something unusual on that hot day. “I seen a strange guy, ya know just...

A flurry of black bear attacks has been covered in the media in the summer of 2024. Five people were injured in the attacks. The first occurred in Alaska at a campground near Anchorage, by a male bear. The bear injured a woman’s face after scratching and biting its way into the couple’s tent. She was treated at a hospital. There was no food or other items that usually attract bears inside the tent and it’s not clear what prompted the rare encounter, Wardlow said. “These folks who were involved did everything right and this is just a very unusual...

New York Times economics columnist Paul Krugman has spilled much ink over the last year fawning over President Joe Biden's blazing jobs market, and now here comes the boomerang. In light of the latest bad news that the government vastly overestimated job growth — by a whopping 818,000 jobs — Krugman the blowhard lost all his air. That 818,000 figure is equal to about 30 percent of the jobs growth for the 12-month period ending in March 2024 and represents the largest revision in 15 years. Yet Krugman, during that twelve-month period, was caught up in his own self-medicated political...

A far-left organization that has received funding from taxpayer dollars is offering up to $30,000 to illegal aliens so that they can purchase homes in the United States. As the Daily Caller reports, the Hacienda Community Development Corp. (Hacienda CDC) is participating in a down payment assistance program in Oregon called “Camino a Casa.” The initiative is explicitly only available for non-citizens, while American citizens are ineligible. The $30,000 handouts are branded as down payment assistance for illegals who are attempting to purchase new homes. “Clients work closely with financial coaches and HUD-certified housing counselors throughout the entirety of the...

Vice President Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday despite failing to release a policy platform since launching her campaign. Harris headlined the final night of the Democratic National Convention, accepting the nomination that the delegates had voted to give her weeks before in a virtual roll call. The vice president largely spoke about her personal background and attacked former President Donald Trump, while sprinkling in some vague policy positions and campaign themes. “On behalf of everyone whose story could only be written in the greatest nation on earth, I accept your nomination to be president of the...

A little over a year ago, Yevgeny Prigozhin, Putin’s former cook and the founder of the notorious Wagner private military company, launched a coup attempt that fizzled quickly. But, significantly, the Russian military and security services did nothing to stop it. They just watched — hardly a sign of their loyalty to Putin. A few days ago, Georgy Zakrevsky, another head of a private military company, effectively called on Russians to get rid of the “Great” Putin (his modifier, not mine). When the guys with the guns start making fun of your greatness, it may be time to read the...

Here's a Summary of the video: The video features various celebrities and public figures, including Richard Dawkins, Elon Musk, Jordan Peterson, Douglas Murray, Niall Ferguson, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Tom Holland, discussing their perspectives on Christianity. Many of them identify as "cultural Christians," appreciating Christian ethics and traditions without necessarily believing in the faith's core tenets. They express a desire for the moral and cultural benefits of Christianity but often stop short of committing to its religious beliefs. The video explores how these individuals, though not traditionally religious, recognize the value of Christian principles in society, particularly in contrast to...

A long-awaited psychiatric evaluation showed “shopping cart killer” suspect Anthony Eugene Robinson wasn’t criminally insane when he allegedly killed and disposed of the bodies of two women in Harrisonburg, Virginia, WTOP has learned. Robinson is also suspected in two deaths in Fairfax County and one in D.C. — but hasn’t been charged in those cases. Defense attorney Louis Nagy says the psychiatric evaluation, ordered by a Rockingham County Circuit Court judge, in 2022, “was not helpful,” as he considered an insanity defense. On Sept. 23, Robinson is set to begin a five-day first-degree murder trial in the death of 39-year-old...

Vladimir Putin has sought to shift blame for Ukraine's surprise incursion into the Kursk region, as evidence emerged that his country's handling of the offensive was damaging the Russian leader's image. At a virtual meeting held by Putin Thursday on the situation in Russia's Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, which border Ukraine, the president told regional officials that the "security issues" in Kursk "are problems that are the responsibility of the security agencies." -snip- "I hope that, as was reported today, interaction between local and regional authorities, the government, and security agencies has been established, and this will also play...
