The EU warns Elon Musk about tonight’s Donald Trump livestream on X. EU Commissioner Thierry Breton says the EU will watch for “spillovers” that violate the Digital Services Act, such as “content that may incite violence, hate and racism in conjunction with major political - or societal - events around the world, including debates and interviews in the context of elections.”

I finished Megan Basham's "Shepherds for Sale" over the weekend. Paula is working on getting her for an interview for the podcast, and if that happens, it should be an eye-opening discussion. Basham's book outlines how progressive forces have infiltrated the Evangelical churches of America to undermine the conservative presence in those churches and flip them blue. Basham asserts that this effort is well-funded and occurs across multiple fronts, often aided and abetted by Christian and conservative thought leaders. One of those leaders, according to Basham, is David French. French was once a columnist for National Review before jumping ship...

The incident reportedly occurred on July 27, which is when the Democrat presidential nominee held her event at a nearby performing arts center.According to the report, “The owner of...

Day #6 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I'm posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the next couple of months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so it will take at least ten weeks to do this. And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post...

(NEXSTAR) – Geomagnetic storm conditions observed over the weekend strengthened Monday morning, creating a “major disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field,” the Space Weather Prediction Center said. The storm reached a G4 level in strength — the second-highest on the scale, classified as “severe” — just before 11 a.m. Eastern Time. The geomagnetic storm conditions may continue into the evening as solar flaring continues, forecasters said. “Severe levels is pretty extraordinary,” Shawn Dahl, service coordinator at SWPC, said in a media briefing earlier this year. “It’s a very rare event to happen.” At the G4 level, impacts on our infrastructure are...

One of them is too young to vote and the other only graduated high school just a couple of months ago. But Donald Trump has a secret weapon in his bid to reach Gen Z voters – his youngest son Barron, 18, and the teen's influencer best friend Bo Loudon, 17. The tech-savvy teens are busily briefing the 78-year-old former President behind the scenes on the new landscape of streamers and YouTube stars with millions of followers.

Tate Fall is overwhelmed. When she signed on to be director of elections in Cobb County, Georgia, last year, she knew she’d be registering voters and recruiting poll workers, maybe fixing up voting machines. She didn’t expect the unending flood of disinformation — or at least, she wasn’t prepared for how much it would overtake her job. She has had election deniers shout at her at public meetings, fielded weekend calls from politicians panicked about a newly circulating falsehood, and even reviewed conspiracy theories circulating on Nextdoor… Increasingly, her generation of elections officials must multitask as defenders against disinformation and...

Fifty years after he resigned the presidency, Richard Nixon is back. At least, some people on the right would like us to believe that he is and that it’s time for conservatives to embrace his legacy wholeheartedly and to reject the stale leftist narratives about Watergate (among other things) that have sullied his reputation. It is necessary to reject the standard left-wing gloss on Nixon. But doing so hardly absolves Nixon of his sins. From a conservative perspective, there was good to the man and his presidency, but also bad — and ugly. Conservatives will only learn the right lessons...

The FBI is withholding information on a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for records related to the attempted assassination of President Trump. Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch in a FOIA request asked for all records of the FBI related to their coordination with the Secret Service for Trump’s July 13 Butler, Pennsylvania rally. The FBI denied Judicial Watch’s request citing exemption 7(A) which applies to information that “could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement,” the watchdog said. Judicial Watch reported: Judicial Watch announced today that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) withheld information on a Freedom of Information...

The US has to be ready for what could be a significant set of attacks against Israel by Iran and its proxies, US National Security Communications adviser John Kirby told reporters in a virtual briefing Monday, as international diplomats raced to avert a regional war. “We have increased our force posture and capabilities in the region even in just the last few days,” Kirby said, adding that “we have to be prepared for what could be a significant set of attacks.” The most important step right now is making sure that "Israel can defend itself and that we, the United...

Lyrics: Polite and smart and punctual, it once was good to be. You answer’d for your actions and a woman was a she. You’d stand up for your people, if needs be even fight. But now if you uphold such values then you are far right. We’re all far right now! We’re all far right now! Peterson, Rogan, Shapiro. Ee-aye, Ee-aye, Ee-aye-oh. We worship Mussolini His portrait’s in the loft. Musk saved Twitter. Heil Hitler We’re all far right now! Oh you say you’re in the middle, A moderate individual, A Gladstonian liberal. You once laughed at Donald Trump You’re...

In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic waste, California banned single-use plastic grocery bags in 2016. The thicker reusable totes that replaced these bags aren't, in fact, reused as often as had been hoped. Health concerns about reusing contaminated cloth bags led to stores offering customers sturdier reusable plastic bags for a small fee--typically ten cents per bag. However, most customers threw these bags out after a single use. The result is that the amount of plastic the state dumped into the Pacific Ocean soared from 157,385 tons in 2014 to 231,072 tons in 2022. The editors of...

A migrant who led a gang of asylum-seeking thugs in a savage, caught-on-camera beating of two NYPD officers in Times Square and then quickly made bail was just busted for serial theft, police sources say. Yohenry Brito, 24, of Venezuela was arrested late Tuesday for a pair of thefts at Manhattan Sephora locations: one in July in which he cut security wires on display cases to steal fragrances, and another Aug. 6, when he ripped off $1,358 worth of merchandise from store shelves before fleeing with an accomplice, who was not apprehended, police sources told The Post. He was previously...

History may or may not repeat and may or may not even rhyme. But certain events can only be ignored or dismissed with great peril. Sixty years ago this month, the Congress recklessly and foolishly raced to pass the Tonkin Gulf Resolution, with just two dissenting votes in the Senate. That law gave President Lyndon B. Johnson the authority to begin a war in Vietnam that the U.S. would eventually lose. The cause celebre was an alleged attack by North Vietnamese PT boats against two U.S. Navy destroyers patrolling off the North Vietnamese coast in international waters. Two days before,...

Former President Donald Trump is set to sue the Justice Department for $100 million in damages over the government’s unprecedented 2022 raid on his Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida, with lawyers arguing it was done with "clear intent to engage in political persecution." Fox News has obtained Trump’s memo claiming, "tortious conduct by the United States against President Trump."

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) says former President Trump should stop questioning the size of Vice President Harris’s crowds at her campaign rallies and instead focus on her as a candidate. “You’ve got to make this race not on personalities,” McCarthy said Monday in an interview on Fox News. “Stop questioning the size of her crowds and start questioning her position, when it comes to: What did she do as [California] attorney general on crime? … What did she do when she was supposed to take care of the border as a czar?” The former Speaker said Trump should also...

Republicans mocked the cover of Time magazine for its “reintroduction” of Vice President Kamala Harris, a radical-left political figure in American national politics since 2017. “The reintroduction of Kamala Harris,” as Times‘ X handle described the cover, is ironic because it suggests Harris needs a “reintroduction” — all while the media have failed to hold even one unscripted interview with Harris about her policies for 22 days since she entered the race. The lack of interviews runs counter to the multitude of interviews the media typically conduct when a candidate needs an introduction to voters upon entering a race.
