Los Angeles County’s Board of Supervisors unanimously voted Tuesday in favor of creating a plan to provide free attorneys to low income renters facing eviction. The policy — which still needs a final vote before it is scheduled to take effect on Jan. 1, 2025 — would be the first of its kind in Southern California. It comes at a time when lapsed pandemic renter protections have caused a spike in eviction filings leading to thousands losing housing. “Housing is a fundamental human right,” said Sup. Holly Mitchell, who first introduced the idea for a “Right To Counsel” program last...

Former President Donald Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris in 13 national polls published in the month of July. The surveys indicate Harris might not have any better chance of defeating Trump than President Joe Biden did. Harris’s favorability rating is one point less than Biden’s, RealClearPolitics polling average found. Harris will be an easier candidate to defeat in November than Biden, Trump said Sunday after Biden dropped out as the Democrat’s de facto nominee. The 13 polls also contradicts polling from former pollster for President Barack Obama, Fernand Amandi, who published an internal survey on July 9 that found...

Indian-American politician Vivek Ramaswamy, almost eight months ago, predicted that Joe Biden would not be the Democratic party's candidate for the presidential elections 2024. He was right. Joe Biden withdrew himself from the 2024 White House race on Sunday, endorsing vice president Kamala Harris for the Democratic party's presidential nominee. But Vivek Ramaswamy thinks that even Kamala Harris may not end up as the Democratic candidate. In an interview with Fox News, the Republican leader said, "I say this as someone who predicted a year ago (that) Joe is not going to be the nominee. I'm gonna predict that Kamala...

Unelected globalists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) are calling on governments to usher in “digital IDs” for members of the general public. The WEF argues that “every citizen” should be issued with digital ID as the world prepares for “cashless societies.” The new form of ID is part of the digital public infrastructure (DPI) plan being pushed by the WEF, United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), and Gates Foundation. While it will initially be used for IDs, DPI will be expanded to also support digital payments via central bank digital currency (CBDC). The plan to roll out DPI infrastructure...

CHICAGO — When Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson announced in March that it was filing a “first-of-its-kind lawsuit” against firearm manufacturer Glock, the city drummed up publicity with a press release and widespread media coverage. There was no press release and no media coverage on Monday when the city’s attorneys unceremoniously dropped the case in a two-sentence federal court filing. The city’s lawsuit sought to hold Glock responsible because some of its handguns can be equipped with cheap, illegal after-market devices that allow the weapons to generate automatic gunfire, similar to a machine gun. ...

Texas senator investigating lapse in U.S. sanctions enabling Tehran’s proxies to fund war on Israel. The suicide drones used by Iran’s Houthi militants to conduct a deadly and unprecedented attack on Tel Aviv last week were constructed primarily with American components, highlighting severe gaps in U.S. sanctions on Tehran, according to Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas). Yemen’s Houthi militants, who are funded and directed by Iran, significantly escalated their attacks on Israel last week when they launched a long-range drone strike on Israel’s second largest city, killing one person and wounding several others. The advanced military equipment was supplied by...

July 22 (Reuters) - The Illinois State Police released video on Monday of a sheriff's deputy killing a woman in her home this month, revealing details of a shooting that some likened to high-profile cases in which law enforcement has used excessive force on Black Americans. Sean Grayson, a white deputy who was dismissed from the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office and charged with three counts of first-degree murder last week, fired three shots at the woman, Sonya Massey, according to the indictment. He also faces a charge of aggravated battery and one of official misconduct. "Sonya’s death at the hands...

The Justice Department told a federal judge late Monday that it has located transcripts it previously denied having of President Joe Biden’s talks with a biographer that played a role in the recently completed criminal investigation into Biden’s handling of classified material before he became president. ... Nagging concerns about those issues, particularly after a disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump last month, helped drive Biden’s announcement Sunday that he is dropping his bid for reelection.

George Clooney said that Joe Biden is "saving democracy" by stepping aside from the presidential election in a statement released on Tuesday. The actor also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid to seek the Democratic nomination to run against Donald Trump in November.

This is the latest Brighteon video from Mike Adams on his analysis of the Butler shooting. I previously posted his ballistic forensic analysis of the shots fired to kill Trump. Especially note his analysis of the "second floor" and the open window and his assessment that there were assassin shooters back away from the open window on this floor that were shooting at Trump.

Before she was Joe Biden’s understudy the last four years, Kamala Harris ran offices as a California prosecutor and senator. Often, scandal and failings followed in her wake. As California Attorney General, Harris was widely criticized for failing to take on prosecutorial misconduct. In fact her office was “called out” by judges for “defending convictions obtained by local prosecutors” who had inserted false confessions, lied under oath, and withheld evidence. A federal appeals judge even admonished officials in 2015 to talk to Harris "and make sure she understands the gravity of the situation" involving prosecutorial misconduct. Likewise, Harris’ top deputy...

Although Harris will provide a new face to the Dem’s ticket, her endlessly cackling face provides only a slight edge over Joe Biden against Donald Trump in almost every poll. As a “Border Czar” Harris has done nothing, so exactly what can we expect if she were to become the next President of the United States?

KSNV-TV reported last Wednesday that a Las Vegas hospital was put on standby to treat Joe Biden for a medical issue. Biden cut short a campaign trip to Nevada after reportedly being diagnosed with COVID and returned to Delaware, without going to the hospital, where he has not been seen since a pool camera caught him Wednesday night being unable to get in a car without help from the Secret Service. A pool reporter reported Air Force One flew back so fast “the plane shook.”

I began writing this over a week ago, before the Trump rally in Pennsylvania, and before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. My intention then was to speculate on the possible consequences of Democrats in Congress and other liberal-progressive leaders pushing their president and putative 2024 nominee off the ticket only weeks before the election. My speculative thoughts then were that the risks of changing their ticket with an unwilling Joe Biden were very great—although the president had chronically unfavorable polls, and these poll numbers were deteriorating, especially in key states. Now, Mr. Biden has officially stepped down from running...

Barack Obama, an old-fashioned ward boss, orchestrates the president’s removal. Democracy took a devastating hit on Sunday when President Biden withdrew from the presidential race. Along the way, he got it wrong. It isn’t Donald Trump who is an existential threat to our democracy. It’s Barack Obama. In the old-school way of Chicago backroom politics, Mr. Obama was the conductor of the band that successfully orchestrated the removal of the presidential candidate chosen by more than 14 million Democratic primary voters—to be replaced by someone he and the party bosses choose instead. It’s classic ward-boss tactics. I’ve known Mr. Obama...

THIS IS the moment Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Russian Su-25 attack jet. The incident occurred near Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, the Khortytsia group of forces said on July 23. Anti-air units shot the plane down as it was attempting to fire on Ukrainian positions, the statement by the group forces said. The Khortytsia group of forces also shared a video that showed an anti-aircraft missile being launched and striking a plane in the distance. The Soviet-designed Su-25, nicknamed "Frogfoot" by NATO, is a heavily armored ground-attack aircraft.

The Big Apple has seen an alarming 11% jump in rapes this year — with some sections of the city seeing their numbers more than double. There were 880 rapes reported citywide from Jan. 1 through July 14, compared to 796 in the same period last year, NYPD stats reveal. “This should be a wake up call,” said Jane Manning, director of Women’s Equal Justice.“The NYPD needs to allocate more investigators to its understaffed Special Victims Unit, so that every case is investigated well and dangerous offenders are apprehended.”
