The palace coup is on. Democrats are ready to toss Joe Biden off the back of the train. They’re done with the old man, and they are leaking like a sieve. Biden has a serious problem on his hands from his own party at this point. It had appeared for a moment as if the pressure on him to go was going to let up, but now it has broken out in full force in the open, and that is because of all the polling data. An article published in the New York Times yesterday stated: Democratic leaders have come...

Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon insisted Friday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the president is staying in the race against all odds. “He’s our nominee and he’s going to be our president for a second term,” she said. She acknowledged “this has been such a hard week” for the campaign but insisted that Biden, who is sick with COVID, will be “back on the trail next week.” “This is an organization built for the Biden-Harris ticket,” she said, underscoring Vice President Kamala Harris’ prominence in a campaign that many Democrats, including powerful donors, would like to end as soon...

I'm posting a few notes about an article in Le Monde, because the French publication does not permit partial reproduction of an article: https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2024/07/17/war-in-ukraine-zelensky-wants-russia-to-take-part-in-a-new-peace-summit_6687222_4.html1. Zelensky has opened the door to direct negotiations with Moscow without making the departure of Russian occupying forces a pre-condition. Russia is invited to attend. 2. The first peace summit since talks broke down in Spring of 2022 included 100 countries meeting in Switzerland. Russia was not invited. That summit ended with timid declarations which did not include an appeal to Russia to halt its invasion. The declaration was signed by 80 countries.3. Zelensky outlined a...

July 18 (UPI) -- The manager of a Red Lobster restaurant in Colorado said a rare orange lobster that arrived at the eatery will be taking a permanent crustacean vacation to the Denver Aquarium. The orange lobster was spotted by Jose Romero, a dishwasher at the Pueblo restaurant, and the general manager decided to spare the rare-colored invertebrate from the dinner plate. "I have been at Red Lobster for 12 years, I always unpack the live lobster shipments, and I have never seen an Orange Lobster! I noticed it right away, how different it was, and I thought, oh my...

Pressure to step aside as nominee continues to mount against President Joe Biden from members of his own party following a disastrous debate performance that put Biden’s cognitive decline on full display. But if Democrats want to get rid of Biden as nominee, they need to use the 25th Amendment. Anything else is an attempted coup. More than a dozen congressional Democrats have called on Biden to step down as the nominee alongside left-wing talking heads and Hollywood elites. Reports indicate former President Barack Obama is also nudging his former No. 2 to pass the torch. Democrats want to have...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s campaign is insisting anew that he is not stepping aside as he faces the stark reality that many Democrats at the highest levels want him to bow out of the 2024 election to make way for a new nominee atop the ticket and try to prevent widespread party losses in November. Isolated as he battles a COVID-19 infection at his beach house in Delaware, Biden’s already small circle of confidants before his debate fumbling has downsized further. The president, who has insisted he can beat Republican Donald Trump, is with family and relying on...

After time away from the spotlight, the right-wing host is increasingly welcomed by Trump’s inner circle. He also made a surprise visit to Fox’s convention studio. All of a sudden, Tucker Carlson has roared back to the forefront of Republican politics. Once the top-rated anchor on Fox News — only to be abruptly ousted 15 months ago, his national platform yanked out from under his feet — Mr. Carlson has made an improbable re-emergence into America’s living rooms at this week’s Republican National Convention. He was the first person to greet Donald J. Trump after the former president’s dramatic entrance...

The media panned President Donald Trump’s speech to the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Thursday night because it was not, in their view, conciliatory enough in the wake of his attempted assassination. Trump devoted the first portion of his speech to recounting his miraculous experience of survival, and calling for national unity. He only used the word “Biden” once, and spoke in a muted tone throughout his remarks. But that was not enough for the media, who evidently expected that a speech accepting the presidential nomination at a national party convention should be devoid of any partisan...

And the hits keep coming. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) sent a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Friday demanding answers on the attempted assassination attack on President Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania last weekend. Senator Hawley wrote that whistleblowers have notified him that a majority of the security officials working the rally last weekend were not even Secret Service personnel but were with the Homeland Security Investigations team! They were not even trained Secret Service personnel! Government officials also treated the attempted assassination as a “loose” security event and that canines were not used at entry points and...

I’m a major donor to the Democratic Party. Only one strategy can rescue the Dems: an open convention. Being a large donor to the Democratic Party is like having elective surgery. You know it’s the right thing to do, but you also know it will be painful. You are often going to be thrown under the bus by the very candidates you support. I would know. I maxed out my giving in the last four presidential elections to the Democratic candidate: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Biden again, this cycle. Perhaps that makes me sound partisan, but I...

The one thing Trump barely mentioned says it allIt’s been decades since the contrast between the parties has been so great.Milwaukee, Wis. — Former President Donald Trump only named his campaign opponent a single time during his Thursday-night nomination acceptance speech. In fact, President Joe Biden barely appeared at all in any of the dozen-plus speeches given on the final night of the Republican National Convention. The decision makes sense on the surface. Trump might not even be running against Biden in November. In the hours before Trump spoke, rumors swirled about the president’s imminent withdrawal as the Biden and...

Ukrainian forces downed a Russian Su-25 ground attack aircraft on Friday, according to the country's Khortytsia group of forces operating in the eastern Donetsk region. The aircraft was shot down by anti-aircraft guns from the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade as it attacked Ukrainian frontline positions near the town of Pokrovsk, the forces' statement posted on Telegram said. The Soviet-designed Sukhoi armored aircraft has been used extensively by both sides since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022.

At the Trump Rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last Saturday, a sniper took aim at President Trump, wounding him, killing retired firefighter Corey Comperatore, and seriously wounding two others MAGA patriots. The building that the sniper was on, part of a complex that also included other snipers working for federal authorities who have not yet been disclosed, is owned by a company called “American Glass Research.” The building is at 615 Whitestown Road in Butler, Pennsylvania. The location is currently being guarded by the Pennsylvania State Police, and as of Tuesday they had FBI Agents still on the ground. Which is...

WASHINGTON (AP) — As President Joe Biden faces a growing drumbeat of pressure to drop his reelection bid, a majority of Democrats think his vice president would make a good president herself. A new poll from the AP-NORC Center found that about 6 in 10 Democrats believe Kamala Harris would do a good job in the top slot. About 2 in 10 Democrats don’t believe she would, and another 2 in 10 say they don’t know enough to say. As for Americans more broadly, they are more skeptical of how Harris would perform in the Oval Office. Only about 3...

Trump’s Triumph At The RNC Suggests Something Bigger Than Politics Is Unfolding In AmericaOn a convention night infused with an air of divine providence, Trump gave a speech for the history books. It’s difficult to describe historical moments as they’re unfolding, but let me hazard a few initial observations about former President Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.Watching a presidential candidate (and former president) describe his near-assassination less than a week after a bullet came within millimeters of ending his life is quite simply the most captivating, awe-inspiring thing that has ever happened at a political...

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A global internet outage early Friday morning is impacting major industries around the world, including banks, airlines, and TV stations. Our computers at the TV9 studio in Cedar Rapids were down for a period of time. The Cedar Rapids Police Department tells TV9 it was also affected. The FAA is issuing ground-stops for major airlines. The Eastern Iowa Airport said the outages happened at a time there were no flights, and so far there has been no impact.

In a new memo obtained by NBC News, the campaign’s battleground states director, Dan Kanninen, says that despite intense media coverage on Democratic divisions, organizers talking to voters consistently found that issues such as women’s rights and the potential GOP agenda of Project 2025 are paramount. “While voters consistently mention President Biden’s age when contacted, our target voters — both re-engagement and true swing voters — are still planning to vote for him, making it clear the debate has not hurt support among the voters who will decide this election,” he writes in the memo. Kanninen says he won’t “sugar...

We don't know about you, but watching the Left flailing to come to terms with their frail candidate and the bump in support for former President Trump following the attempt to assassinate him is, frankly, hilarious. They don't know how to cope. An assassin's bullet tried to kill Trump and ended up finishing off the Biden campaign instead. Over the past few days, they've been spinning themselves into an insane frenzy because they don't have a detailed medical report on the damage to Trump's ear. Did MSNBC just equate the Trump campaign not yet releasing information about Trump’s ear (which...

I've tried probably half a dozen or more food kit subscriptions. I have an active lifestyle and find that supplementing at least a few of the meals during the week is well-served by these resources. Which have you tried? Which did you really like and didn't like? Which seemed like the best value? Which ones do you share their ideology with? Personally, the first I tried was Blue Apron and it remains my favorite. Though it's become a little pricey (like everything else) the value seemed to be superior as well as their service. Recipes were always unique and something...
