A sentence I never imagined I’d write: I now think Jeremy Corbyn did Jews in Britain a favour. His time as Labour leader, between 2015 and 2020, was an extremely weird one for British Jews, but eye-opening all the same: I now think it prepared many of us for the Left’s reaction to October 7, whereas American Jews seemed far more surprised. The gaslighting (the attack didn’t happen), the defences (if it did, Jews deserved it), the hectoring moral superiority (how can you care about that when this is so much more important?): all that we saw after October 7,...

Two Alabama moms, Sophie Clark and Nicole Davis, were total strangers when they went in to deliver their babies at Huntsville Hospital on April 10th, but they couldn't pass up the chance to meet after they serendipitously named their babies after the most famous power couple in country music history, Johnny Cash and June Carter. [snip]] The hospital staff then arranged for the moms and babies to meet, and the two families say they plan to stay in touch. [snip] In addition to being named after the country music stars, both of the babies were actually named after their own...

I think it is seriously counterproductive.”

This week, Gov. Kay Ivey (R-Ala) signed a bill that will ensure President Biden's name is on the state's November ballot. The Governor praised the bi-partisan cooperation, saying "in a democracy, it is essential that both major Parties cooperate to give voters a choice in who they want as their president. Just because Special Counsel Robert Hur declined to prosecute Biden because he is an elderly man with a poor memory doesn't mean voters in our state should be denied the opportunity to cast their ballots for him." Biden campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez called the bi-partisan action "a necessary...

The wave of anti-Israeli protests on college campuses across the United States continued over the weekend, with two demonstrations briefly interrupting graduation proceedings at the University of Michigan. Dozens of protesters wearing keffiyehs and graduation caps held up Palestinian flags and marched down the center aisle toward the stage at Michigan Stadium during Saturday morning’s commencement, CBS News reported. As a speaker invited the crowd to join the school’s “Go Blue” chant, the demonstrators hit back with cries of “Regents, regents, you can’t hide! You are funding genocide,” according to the New York Times. A plane bearing the messages “Divest...

A student who held up her own American flag at a North Carolina campus Tuesday, after an anti-Israel mob desecrated an American flag flying on campus, said she would die for Old Glory. Anti-Israel protesters targeted the American flag on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's quad — which had been flying at half-mast after four Charlotte officers were killed in the line of duty. At one point, they replaced it with a Palestinian flag – enraging students and inspiring members from the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity to take action. "I definitely was emotionally a little bit shaken,"...

What is it with these people? In the latest instance of these antisemitic, hate-spewing, miseducated twerps treating their intrusive thoughts like honored guests, students (and probably more than a few professional agitators, as we have learned) at George Washington University held a "People's Tribunal" putting many of the school's faculty on symbolic trial and demanding their deaths. Yes, really. X account Stu Stu Studios posted footage of the scene featuring a girl speaking through a megaphone, leading chants calling out GWU Provost Christopher Bracey and accusing him of assault on top of the support for Israel and Zionism accusations, chanting,...

Albert Mohler: Professor, I just want to tell you right up front, this was one of the most significant reading experiences I have had in a...

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Michael Steele sharply criticized former President Trump’s inability to admit he lost the last presidential election and said he’s afraid of losing the upcoming one in November because it will hit the most important thing to him, his ego. “Donald Trump is afraid of losing, because it strikes at the core of the thing that’s most important to him, and that’s his ego, and he doesn’t want to do the work to actually win,” Steele said on MSNBC’s “The Weekend.” “He wants to goad and cajole and bully people into believing something about our...

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but...

Black and Latino Christians often turn to their pastors for mental health care, even when those clergy have limited expertise in working with those who are mentally struggling, according to a new study by the Religion and Public Life Program at Rice University. To convert a hush money payment into 34 felonies, prosecutors are invoking an obscure state election law that experts say has never been used before.Jurors in Donald Trump's trial at the New York County Criminal Courthouse in Manhattan have heard a lot about paying people to keep their mouths shut. The New York Times understandably calls the trial a "hush money case." But both sides in the case, the first-ever criminal proceeding against a former president, object to that characterization, and their dueling interpretations go to the heart of the legally dubious charges against Trump. When Trump lawyer Michael Cohen...

Dems are counting on abortion, but another issue is dominating the polls. What if deportation, and not abortion, is the keyword of the 2024 election? President Joe Biden’s seemingly unassailable “blue wall” appears to be crumbling in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s greatest political comeback in history. The “blue wall” represents three battleground states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Biden must win these states to prevent Trump from winning reelection. The states are imperative for Biden due to Trump’s surge in the sunbelt states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina. In those four states, Trump leads Biden between three and six points in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina, FiveThirtyEight’s polling averages show.“There’s a clear divide between the Blue Wall states, where the polling is...
