Putin and Biden are two sides of the same oppressive coinIf the right does not wake up to what is happening in the United States, conservatives will find themselves the victims of a regime that has every intention of imprisoning its enemies. The American right suffers from a chronic failure of knowing what time it is, and nothing revealed that fact more clearly than the recent death of the Russian dissident Alexei Navalny. Navalny, the 47-year-old outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin, died suddenly while serving a long prison sentence on charges of “extremism.” The natural instinct in such a situation is...

A total of $1.2 billion in federal student loan debt will be automatically discharged for 153,000 borrowers enrolled in President Joe Biden’s “most generous ever” repayment plan, the U.S. Department of Education said on Wednesday. To be eligible for the latest round of student loan debt cancellation, the borrowers must be enrolled in the new income-driven repayment (IDR) plan, dubbed SAVE, have been making at least 10 years of payments, and have originally taken out $12,000 or less for college. Acentrist Democrat is floating a proposal to shield Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) from an internal GOP coup — if the Speaker agrees to move a stalled package of foreign aid. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) is circulating a resolution that would change House rules to make it more difficult for Republican hard-liners to oust Johnson from the top job. But he is making the measure contingent on the chamber holding a vote on legislation providing billions of dollars for Ukraine, Israel and other overseas allies. The potential rules change, which would require support from a majority of the chamber, arrives as...

When my iPhone suddenly stopped working 12 months ago, my immediate reaction surprised me. There I was, out of the loop on social media, nearly impossible to contact, but instead of feeling nervous or overcome with FOMO, total and utter relief flooded my veins. Like, according to PC Mag 67% of millennials, I’ve tried and failed to spend less time on my phone. I’ve downloaded all of the productivity apps, tried making rules and systems, and read books about breaking bad habits — to no avail. No matter what I did, I was still averaging three hours and at least...

Explanation: The bird is bigger than the peak. Nicknamed for its avian shape, the Seagull Nebula is an emission nebula on the night sky that is vast, spanning an angle over five times the diameter of the full moon and over 200 light years. The head of the nebula is catalogued as IC 2177, and the star cluster under its right wing is catalogued as NGC 2343. Consisting of mostly red-glowing hydrogen gas, the Seagull Nebula incorporates some dust lanes and is forming stars. Cereals regarded as healthy may actually raise your risk of dementia — and it's not because of the sugar. A study published in the journal General Psychiatry found a link between a vitamin in brands such as Cheerios and Shreddies and cognitive decline, which can be a precursor for dementia. Thiamine, or vitamin B1, is also found naturally in whole grains, legumes, liver and salmon, and not getting enough of it has also been linked to health issues. But researchers say for the first time they've discovered a J-shaped curve that indicates consuming too much also has negative consequences.

It was a Valentine’s Day from hell. According to a complaint filed Feb. 9 in federal court, Tom Mosgrove spent Valentine’s Day in 2022 in Santa Clara County jail after his then-wife called the police and reported that he pushed her into a closet and blocked her from leaving. Tom Mosgrove claims that he was not an instigator of the incident and never touched his wife nor did anything of a violent or threatening nature that night, but the police arrested him anyway because of a county policy that allegedly requires someone to be arrested when police respond to a...

There are multiple examples of sketchy, seriously sketchy, deep state operatives and institutional creatures who are supporting Nikki Haley, but perhaps support from former acting CIA Director Mike Morell is one of the more revealing. We have tracked Morell for quite a while ever since he replaced David Petraeus in the aftermath of the Benghazi attack and a rapid response coverup was needed. Morell then went on to assist Hillary Clinton in framing the Trump-Russia narrative, organized the 51 intelligence officials to lie about the Hunter Biden laptop being Russian disinformation, and generally working in his capacity as an operative...
