The short-term extension of the controversial federal government surveillance program expires April 19. Congress shouldn't waste its time on meaningless FISA 'reform' but work to abolish this unconstitutional abuse of power!" wrote Rep. Matt Rosendale, R-Mont., Monday on X. Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said this will be a "big week for FISA reform" in Congress. "The FBI has...

The AR-15-toting female who opened fire on worshippers at Lakewood Church in Houston on Sunday before she was killed by two off-duty law enforcement officers used a male name, making her one of several gender-confused shooters in recent years. After what Houston Police Department Homicide Division Commander Chris Hassig called a rigorous investigation “talking with individuals” conducting “interviews” and scanning “documents,” the department confirmed that 36-year-old Genesse Ivonne Moreno is a Hispanic woman who sometimes masqueraded as “Jeffrey Escalante.” It's still unclear exactly why Moreno, who had a long rap sheet and, according to Moreno’s anti-Second Amendment mother-in-law, a history...

U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) raised the alarm over a bill that would send billions of U.S. dollars to Ukraine, telling Tucker Carlson that he and other lawmakers are doing everything they can to “kill” the legislation. In Episode 74 of Carslon’s show on X, the senator detailed the red flags in funding Ukraine’s war and what is being done to derail what he called out as “political calculation” in the bill. Carlson kicked off the episode on Monday with an assessment of the futility of funding Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia, saying “It’s not simply a fool’s errand, it’s...

A group of teenage girls were caught on camera allegedly testing dark makeup to do blackface inside a Boston Sephora, with a staffer slamming their chaperone over the “incredibly offensive” act. The group of three girls were seen in a viral TikTok video trying the makeup testers at the Sephora store in the Prudential Center, with two of them covering their faces with cosmetics meant for darker skin tones. Temi Ojora, a University of Southern California track and field athlete who filmed the girls in the now-private video, described the scene as “genuinely so disgusted and disturbed.”

The nearly 400-page special counsel report confirms an overlap in the timing and topics of Joe Biden’s vice presidency and Hunter Biden’s ‘business’ enterprises. The special counsel report on Joe Biden’s unauthorized removal and disclosure of classified documents exposed much more than our president’s mental deficits and the breadth of his irresponsible handling of top-secret and classified information. The report revealed a close nexus between Hunter Biden’s influence peddling and his father’s responsibilities and access to intel during the elder’s term as vice president. On Thursday, Special Counsel Robert Hur released the results of his investigation into the president stemming...

In his excellent podcast series, “Cold War: Prelude to the Present,” Bill Whittle opens the series by describing the Berlin Wall as “not only a wall between East and West Berlin.” He continues:It was the division of humanity into two different camps…On one side of the wall, the Eastern side, were the collectivists, who believed that society takes precedent over the person. This collectivism was advertised as new and scientific, but the fact is that collectivism has been the default position of humanity since humanity began. No, the actual newcomer to this clash of visions were the individualists on the...

The global and domestic landscape is one of turmoil and indecision. Everywhere one looks there is chaos and potential disaster, whether in the financial, economic, political, or military sphere. Since the beginning of the post-World War II era there has been one constant that has been the stabilizing force in the world: the stature, power, and influence of the United States. The twelve years of Barack Obama and his ventriloquist dummy, Joe Biden, have overwhelmingly eroded America and dramatically accelerated the demise of western civilization. Barack Obama assumed the office of the presidency as a man brought up and steeped...

Last week, DePaul film students showcased documentaries they created in collaboration with Chicago non-profits that highlight the immigrant experience in the city in an effort to raise awareness of its complexity. For some, filmmaking is a creative outlet to address some of the most pressing and important social issues in the city. The documentaries were inspired by the humanitarian crisis that Chicago is experiencing with the recent arrival of more than 30,000 migrants. Anuradha Rana, a DePaul associate professor of film, guides DePaul students in working with Chicago non-profit organizations as part of her class. The class, called Filming...

Did you know "The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie" was even happening before you clicked on this article? You would think Warner Bros. would treat the first-ever fully animated feature-length theatrical film (not including any of the previous "Looney Tunes" package movies that compile multiple shorts) featuring some of the most iconic cartoon characters in cinema history as a momentous occasion. But no, under the reign of current WB Discovery CEO David Zaslav, "The Day the Earth Blew Up" has thus far been treated as little more than extra "content" for the fire (apologies for...

U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday blasted his predecessor Donald Trump's comments on NATO, saying they have raised the stakes for Congress to approve new funding to support Ukraine. A rare artifact has been discovered by archaeologists at an ancient mammoth kill site near Douglas, Wyoming, which they say is the oldest of its kind ever found in the Americas. The discovery, a tube-shaped piece of bone, is likely to have been a bead dating to around 12,940 years old, potentially making it the oldest known instance of American perforated jewelry. The discovery was made by University of Wyoming archaeology Professor Todd Surovell and his team at the La Prele Mammoth site, a location first revealed to archaeologists in 1986 when mammoth remains were found eroding out of a...

The White House is going on the offensive with a new talking point to convince House members they need to pass the national security supplemental: failing to greenlight the bill means helping Iran.According to a talking points memo and messaging memo obtained by POLITICO, the administration is arguing that Iran has sided with Russia in its war on Ukraine and has long supported Hamas. To not pass the legislation that gives aid to both Ukraine and Israel, then, would be to make life easier for Tehran.

The White House says President Biden will not take a cognitive test — even after a damning report from his own Department of Justice highlighting his “poor memory” and voters expressing major concerns about his mental acuity. “The president proves every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks — by dealing with world leaders, by making difficult decisions on behalf of the American people — whether it’s domestic or national security,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Monday, quoting from Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor. “That is how Dr. O’Connor sees it, and that is how...
