DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Tsunami warnings have ended for parts of the coastal Philippines after a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck off the southeastern coast Saturday night, according to the USGS. The quake struck at 10:37 p.m. local time Saturday night, or 9:37 a.m. ET, near the province of Surigao del Sur in Mindanao, the second-largest island of the Philippines. The USGS noted the quake occurred at a depth of 32.8 km, or just over 20 miles deep out at sea.

Florida police say a violent robbery caught on video in front of a nail salon had been plotted by the mother of the suspect for over a month. Yunet Sanchez is the owner of Champagne Nails in Hialeah, but she also sells jewelry at the store. A dead longhorn cow was found on the lawn of an Oklahoma State University fraternity house Friday morning, a day before a championship game between the school and the Texas Longhorns football team. The longhorn carcass was found around 6:39 a.m. in the front yard of the university’s FarmHouse fraternity, a spokesperson for the Stillwater Police Department told CNN.
