Let us be sure to keep the Philipines in our prayers.
Earthquakes don’t Strike. They occur. Or they are detected. Lightning strikes. Earthquakes happens.

You knew about this already ping.
What part of Davao? I am in Davao City right now. We had some pretty bad swaying, but up around Gamut, about 190 miles from here, it was really bad.
There are always exceptions to the rule
We are ok. Moderate swaying for about 30 seconds. 👍
Pretty big exceptions.
If I’m able to travel more before I die, I’d love to visit the Philippines because the people (I know of) are extraordinarily friendly. My coworker is the best example of walking the Christian walk than anyone I have ever known.
Side note: She was literally held as a domestic slave in Jordan (many Filipinos go there to work). Her passport was confiscated, forced to do extreme work with little sleep, spoiled food, and no access to outside the courtyard. She would double bag the garbage and throw scraps cut from chicken bones into the hidden, bottom bag, since the woman head of household would check. She found a window unlocked on the 2nd story and jumped, then found the courtyard gate opened and escaped after two years, after one foiled attempt.
She never said a bad thing about ANYONE except said they are ‘animals’ to whom life means nothing. Her other working experiences exemplified the absolute contempt Moslems show for foreigners. Her family didn’t recognize her in a photo after being released, she weighed about 85 lbs. At 105 lbs now she is very thin but not starving. She should write a book.

Until they do.
That’s why they are warnings, not certainties.
That is absolutely horrifying. It’s just hard to believe that you could treat another human like that. Thank God she got away. Truly a miracle.
Happened about 3 hours ago now. I’m guessing the tsunami didn’t pan out?
Until they do, in spades.
