Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk lent support Monday to Israel's campaign against Hamas, saying one challenge was stopping propaganda of a sort that led to the Hamas terrorists' killing spree that triggered the Israel war on Gaza. The owner of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Musk was on an unusual visit to Israel, during a four-day pause to the fighting, and held a live online discussion with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Hearing Netanyahu describe the destruction of Hamas, which Israel has set as a war goal, as necessary for any prospective peace with the Palestinians, Musk sounded...

Nearly a third of all outstanding US government debt is set to mature in the next 12 months, according to an analysis from asset management firm Apollo. A chart shared by Chief Economist Torsten Sløk in September showed that the share of US public debt set to mature in a year or less has steadily risen toward pandemic-era levels and is now at 31%. In terms of dollar amount, that's $7.6 trillion, a high not seen since early 2021, and is a source of upward pressure on US rates, he added. In addition, public debt maturing in the near term...

Since the advent of modern scientific theory people who worry about such things have spent much time worrying about the creations of man supplanting humanity, developing a life of their own and the ability to out-compete their creators in all areas of life. From Shelley's Frankenstein to Cameron's Terminator fear of humans sowing the seeds of their own destruction run deep in the modern psyche, and with the advent of artificial intelligence engines such as ChatGPT this concern has only intensified for many. Well, we're here to tell you that if 'Anna Indiana' is anything to go by the reign...

A teacher at a Brooklyn school serving students from a large Palestinian community is under fire for posting social media comments such as “Let Gaza Burn’’ and “There are no innocents.’’ Pro-Palestinian activists are demanding the city Department of Education investigate The Fort Hamilton School instructor Robert Rossicone over his comments. The PS 104 elementary-middle school serves students from the largest Palestinian-American and Arabic communities in the state. “Look at these ANIMALS. And the people who support this, or call for a ceasefire, are dogs as well,” Rossicone said in one exchange in response to a Hamas video that the...

Mayor Eric Adams’ medical team is ramping up a program to bolster wellness in public housing by recruiting “health coaches” to work with residents inside the city’s major public housing projects. The Health Department is accepting bids to fund the expansion of the Health Advocacy Partnership program in the New York City Housing Authority-run Marcy Houses in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, Butler Houses in the Morrisania neighborhood of The Bronx and the Queensbridge Houses in Long Island City, Queens. The program offers tenants screening and workshops to help them better control chronic diseases such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, and...

As a private citizen, I was always offended when I heard about tax dollars going to lobbyists. You may not be familiar with this practice, but any public institution can use your taxes to hire private lobbyists to lobby any other institution, usually for more taxes to be collected and spent. Cities can lobby the State, the State can lobby the feds, and the feds can lobby the cities. It becomes one endless cycle of forcing citizens to pay to subsidize their own tax increases. Imagine my surprise then to find out that Ada County had its own contract lobbyist...

WASHINGTON -- Campaigning in Iowa this year, Donald Trump said he was prevented during his presidency from using the military to quell violence in primarily Democratic cities and states. Calling New York City and Chicago “crime dens,” the front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination told his audience, “The next time, I’m not waiting. One of the things I did was let them run it and we’re going to show how bad a job they do,” he said. “Well, we did that. We don’t have to wait any longer.” Trump has not spelled out precisely how he might use the...

Some Democrats are waking up and noticing that the policies they’ve been cheerleading have produced violent crime waves, a massive migrant crisis, and genocidal antisemitism. One would hope the public at large is catching on as well. Just over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a spate of headlines about lefty, soft-on-crime Democrats attacked on the mean streets they’ve helped create. - A Secret Service agent opened fire on would-be car thieves who tried to break into an unmarked SUV in the ritzy Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Turns out, the agents were assigned to one of President Joe Biden’s...

The last week of November is setting up to be a pivotal week in Ukraine’s futile effort to fend off the Russian military. Russia is clobbering Kiev and other parts of western Ukraine with drone hordes that are wreaking havoc on military depots and electric power nodes. In Kiev, the rift between President Zelensky and General Zaluzhny is widening, with rumors swirling that Zelensky will order a full mobilization of Ukraine that will draft 17 to 70 year old civilians, including women. (snip) Zelensky’s efforts to hide the staggering losses of Ukrainian troops took a major hit when Ukrainian TV...

Lake-Effect Snow Warnings have been issued along the eastern shores of Lakes Erie and Ontario as the region braces for the first significant multiday lake-effect snowstorm of the season that will kick into high gear starting Monday. The gloomy winter weather comes on the heels of a powerful storm that brought several inches of snow from the Plains states to the Great Lakes region and slowed travel over the Thanksgiving weekend, leaving at least three people dead as a result. The FOX Forecast Center says cold air being pulled in from Canada will flow over the unfrozen and still relatively...

President Biden will skip the United Nations climate summit that kicks off Thursday in Dubai amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, a report said Sunday. Biden, who just weeks ago called climate change “the ultimate threat to humanity,” will not be among the leaders of nearly 200 countries who will attend the two-week event, known as COP28, a White House official told the New York Times. The official who asked to remain anonymous to discuss the president’s plans did not provide a reason for his absence, but senior aides told the publication that Biden has been preoccupied with...

Israel and Hamas appeared open to extending a cease-fire in Gaza that has halted their deadliest and most destructive war but is set to expire after Monday, with a fourth exchange of militant-held hostages for Palestinians imprisoned by Israel planned for later in the day. Israel has said it would extend the cease-fire by one day for every 10 additional hostages released. Hamas has also said it hopes to extend the four-day truce, which came into effect Friday after several weeks of indirect negotiations mediated by the United States, Qatar and Egypt. But Israel also says it remains committed to...

As a regime that for more than forty years has sponsored violent abduction, hostage taking, kidnapping, blackmail, piracy, assassination, warmongering, and oppression, the Iranian dictatorship has no equal. They have plowed men and resources into proxy wars in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, and Gaza. They have openly backed terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas. Through the extra-territorial Quds Force wing of their Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), they have directed extremist operations throughout the Middle East and further afield, even sending registered diplomats on terror missions. Now, they are supplying kamikaze drones to Russia for use in their illegal war...

“I think we made the point. We came here, we disrupted the event, we canceled Christmas, so give it up for yourselves,” yelled a protester as a pro-Muslim mob stormed a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The mob completely ruined the celebration and terrified children. At one point the grown Muslim sympathizers chanted, “America is a terrorist state.”

Derek Chauvin, who was convicted of murder in the death of George Floyd in a highly contested decision, was knifed on Friday and almost died. The prison officials didn’t even bother to call his mother, Carolyn Pawlenty. Alpha News reported that she found out through media reports. “How the hell do these news agencies know, and his own mother doesn’t even know? And that [prison] has an emergency contact number [for me],” Pawlenty said, adding that she is “worried and scared” about her son’s condition. “I can’t even think what to say. I haven’t been to bed and made a...

Indianapolis high school senior Caston Peters had used they and them or he and him pronouns at school for three years without a problem, but they came home a few days into this school year and told their mother that the situation had changed. Peters, 18 and nonbinary, heard from a teacher that a new state law meant they wouldn’t be able to use those pronouns, or the first name they've used for years, without explicit permission from a parent because the pronouns and name don't correspond with their sex assigned at birth. This was news to Caston’s mother, Kim...

The impact of the terror attacks in Israel on October 7 has been so severe that there are now “before October 7” and “after October 7” eras. The world is not the same. The issue of jihad war, and the evidence of 1,400 years of expansionary jihad violence, is in focus. What Hamas did on October 7 may be new to the West, but it has many historic antecedents. It is part of what jihad is. In the recent past, we saw it with the Islamic State; even now, Christians in Africa are experiencing a genocide at the hands of...
