[Catholic Caucus] Pope’s warning about German ‘Synodal Council’ has nothing to do with sexual morals, correcting heresyThe pope’s criticism has nothing to do with the Synodal Way’s attack on Catholic moral teaching, but rather with undermining the authority of the bishops via the 'Synodal Council' the German bishops are trying to set up. Pope Francis has expressed his “concern” that the Church in Germany is moving away from the Universal Church, but he failed once again to correct the Synodal Way’s heretical teachings on sexuality. The German Newspaper WELT published a letter written by Pope Francis addressed to four women,...

Luke 19:1-10 Friends, the story of Zacchaeus recounted in today’s Gospel is a particularly clear example of one of the most basic principles in the spiritual life—namely, that moral reform follows rather than precedes the arrival of grace. Most of us are in the grip of what Thomas Merton called “the Promethean attitude.” This is the view that, just as Prometheus had to steal fire from the gods, we have to earn the divine love through the heroic living out of certain moral demands. But this is getting things precisely backward. God’s grace always comes first—and often unbidden and unexpected. Then...

In some parts of the country, standing up for Israel is controversial, even dangerous. On the campuses of places like Harvard, Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania, anyone who dares to wave an Israeli flag — or, increasingly, wear a kippah in public — is at risk of being assaulted by angry mobs of people with their faces covered. In Los Angeles, a pro-Israel protester was allegedly killed by a pro-Palestinian computer-science professor. (Judge Ryan Wright slashed the prof’s bail from the original $1 million to just $50,000.) Many parents of Jewish students are concerned, and rightly so, about their...

The truth is coming out! And it’s starting to come out in waves! Earlier today we had Mike Lindell vindicated and a scathing 135 page Order issued by a Judge condemning the voting machines in Georgia! Now in a separate but related story we have 3,000 illegal duplicate ballots now being admitted! Oh my! ... So 3,600 in one county multiplied by 159 counties (!!) and you could potentially have 572,400 illegal and duplicated votes! So....did that all happen during that "water pipe burst"? Remember that? Except....there was no water pipe at all, it was all phony! So 3,600 in...

Four days after the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks in Israel, WME invited Steve Leder, the rabbi from Wilshire Boulevard Temple, to visit the agency’s Beverly Hills headquarters. He came to provide comfort for employees reeling after the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Although the event was not mandatory and Leder’s speech was considered secular, several staffers voiced complaints, which made their way to WME co-chairmen Richard Weitz and Christian Muirhead. Instead of caving, WME invited Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt to speak to the agency on Nov. 1. Greenblatt didn’t mince words, according to those...
