Cody Woodsen Klemp, now 67, had previous convictions for rape and attempted rape before his niece was placed in his care in 1990, per reporting by FOX 11. Four years later, he was convicted on 40 felonies stemming from his repeated rape of the then-14-year-old, including 20 counts of committing a lewd and lascivious act on a child, 10 counts of rape...

Kazakhstan’s president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, hosted routine talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Astana on November 9. At the customary, post-meeting press conference, Tokayev said little that was new, yet his delivery marked a notable departure from the past. He opened his remarks in Kazakh, not Russian. Tokayev’s rhetoric included the usual platitudes concerning the strength of bilateral relations, which he said were underpinned by “unshakable values of mutual respect and trust.” He went on to “confirm Kazakhstan is committed to the strategic direction of further strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Russia.” But in making top Russian officials in attendance, including...

There have been at least 234 pro-Hamas rallies on U.S. college campuses since the October terrorist attacks against Israel, the Anti-Defamation League told Congress on Wednesday. The large number of protests highlights the growing influence of pro-terrorist and anti-Semitic groups at American universities, a trend that has drawn condemnation from lawmakers and calls for banning Hamas-supporting groups on college campuses. "We tracked 234 anti-Israel and pro-Hamas rallies on U.S. campuses," said ADL director Jonathan Greenblatt during a House Ways and Means Committee hearing on Wednesday. "Not calls for a two-state solution, not calls for a one-state solution. These were calls...

As you sit there mulling a retirement in the South, approximately 1,000 people are already on their way to Florida today with all their household belongings. Should you join them?Like many baby boomers approaching retirement age and hunting for a warmer climate to call home in their golden years, my wife and I scouted cities and towns in Florida for a possible landing pad — so I had some skin in the game (we decided on elsewhere). But Florida isn’t all about the beaches, Disney World and the massive retirement community known as The Villages. I interviewed experts and residents for...

You can't beat Dow Jones stocks for stability and defense in a down market. By the same token, the blue chip average won't always keep up in a rising market.Case in point: equities are having a strong 2023, with the S&P 500 delivering a price gain of 15% for the year-to-date through November 10. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite, which is both riskier and "growthier," soared 32% over the same span. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, by comparison, is very much lagging the pack. The elite bastion of 30 mostly mature industry leaders delivered a comparatively poky price gain of 3.4%...

Russia's justice ministry said it had "lodged an administrative legal claim with the Supreme Court to recognise the International LGBT public movement as extremist and ban its activity in Russia." The ministry did not specify whether it was seeking the closure of any specific groups or organisations, or if the designation would apply more broadly to the LGBTQ community, causes and individuals. The proposed ban is the latest in a long-standing crackdown against LGBTQ people in Russia, which has escalated since Russia launched its offensive on Ukraine last February. Russia has used the extremist label against swathes of rights organisations...

With the Chinese ambassador at his side, Bukele toured the seven-story building, erected at a cost of $54 million paid for by China. The building sprawls over 24,000 square meters (260,000 square feet), and contains gamer and robotics areas, interactive digital screens and both a digital library and shelves containing 360,000 books, the government said on Tuesday. A day later, the son of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Laureano Ortega, inspected 250 Chinese-made buses and thanked Beijing for the "special relationship" he asserted was lifting the nation out of poverty. "The new politics of the region has accelerated China's influence and...

A transgender horror author who sparked outrage earlier this year by threatening to slit JK Rowling's throat has hailed Osama bin Laden's destruction of the Twin Towers. Gretchen Felker-Martin on Thursday joined in the chorus of admiration for the al-Qaeda leader, sparked by TikTokers suddenly 'discovering' his rational for 9/11. The Massachusetts-based author wrote on X, where she has 30,000 followers: 'Can pretty safely state that bin Laden and I did not, uh, agree on much, but blowing up the World Trade Center is probably the most principled and defensible thing he did.' Bin Laden's 2002 'Letter to America' has...

NATO has set an autumnal challenge for sharp-eyed followers to spot soldiers hiding in a woodland setting. The image shows a forest in an undisclosed location carpeted with leaves, with the troop members blended perfectly into their natural surroundings. NATO posted the photo on its X account, along with a picture of a Maple leaf, hinting that the soldiers are in Canada. In another video posted on social media by NATO the soldiers emerge from their hiding spots carrying rifles and point them towards the camera.

Politico was in such a state of panic over what they perceived as President Joe Biden's dwindling election chances in 2024 that they were hyping an election gimmick promoted by political author Ruy Teixeira, that came off as nothing more than a desperate election ploy of too little, too late. It was a mark of this desperation that it was the lead story of Friday's Politico Playbook, "The case for triangulation on immigration."After almost three years of largely putting little weight on the border crises during the current administration, Politico writers Ryan Lizza, Eugene Daniels, and Rachel Bade had finally,...

The IDF used tanks to mark the Star of David onto the floor of a training ground for the Hamas terror group's fighters in Gaza City. The tanks can be seen in footage shared today roaming across the soil with Israel flags on a battle-worn strip of land. They are then shown in a line pumping out blue and white smoke as the symbol is displayed. The formation, performed by fighters from the Golani Brigade in the Kativa outpost, was part of a ceremony in memory of comrades who have fallen since the start of the war, according to IDF...

LONDON (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin waited three days before commenting on Hamas' massacre of Israelis, which happened to take place on his 71st birthday. When he did, he blamed the United States, not Hamas. "I think that many will agree with me that this is a clear example of the failed policy in the Middle East of the United States, which tried to monopolise the settlement process," Putin told Iraq's prime minister. It was a further six days before Putin spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to offer his condolences for the slaughter of around 1,200 Israelis....

These last couple of weeks have not been good for the Ukrainian war effort, to say the least.Besides the recent advances of Russian Federation forces in various points of the frontline, Kiev’s battle for the public narrative is also in bad shape. In the aftermath of the failed offensive, and in the midst of the emergence of public clashes between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander in Chief Valery Zaluzhny, now the MSM has started re-assessing the situation in a massive way.It has become very hard to track all the new articles informing the general public about the impending demise of the...
